It was the home of a lot of props for Voyager era equipment. Looks like it's been taken down....add that to just one more thing to delete from the freebie list....Dang! That site had some nicely made items.

Wasn't the Voyager stuff available somewhere else? Seems like we went through this once before.
Yes, but that was before the payable idea thingy at ShareCG that was discarded, but a lot of folks retracted their stuff nontheless.
ShareCG. Figures. That site's always been weird. You know they refused to host Nova Trek? Said it was too tied to a copyrighted property. Heck over half the models on their site were tied to a copyrighted property.
No, and http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ also can't find it.
However, there appear to be a few snapshots of the site in the Wayback Machine. Don't have time to check whether any of the downloads were archived, though.

So, no longer available then. I was looking for a Voyager style computer console, like the one in sickbay.
the items at Marysgraphics were all linked to the same ShareCG account, from which they were pulled down.
Bruffy, yeah, I heard something about that. Shame they are being this weird about it, as spreading these items as freestuff doesn't fall under copyrighting, but as fanart.
Weird even more if you consider that a good number of the folks that modelled this fanart years ago at Foundation3D, now work doing the CGI for the movies...
That's okay. Between my Deviant Art gallery and Trek United's publishing program, thousands of people have checked out "Nova Trek".
In fact, Part one of "A Tale of Two Captains" has had over 7000 people at least glance at it thanks to TU.
I'm one of the folks that took a peek and more then once at that. ;)
But the entire thing is ridiculous, even more so considering that there isn't even a star trek series running on TV for the longest time ever now. Hell, these folks at Paramount should be very glad we are keeping their legacy alive after the *cough* Enterprise debacle *cough*
Thank you! :-)
Did anyone ever come up with English language signing for the TMP transporter room?
Why does this make me think of saving power by having the Phaser Battery Specialist press the button, while the Phaser Battery Specialist's Assistant gets on the ship intercom and shouts "ZAP!!!"
(If you've seen the relevant episode of Dad's Army, no they weren't making that bit up.)
Any one have time for some remodeling? This is the TMP Transporter room. It had both 3DS and Obj files. There are two problems. First, there is no English language signage. And the consoles are messed up. I need this for my next story and I don't have the skills to fix it.
I might be able to fake the signage. But the console are beyond me.
What kind of "messed up"?
The main console is not where it's supposed tp be- and most of the consoles that are supposed to be behind it are not there. Look at the areas I have blocked in in red.
And this isn't the only problem. The TMP Sick Bay has problems, too. I'll be posting pics momentarily.
The TMP Sick Bay. Also with both 3ds and obj files. Problem: If you expect to see the beds, You have to turn the walls -and one layer of the beds- invisable. For some weird reason, the bed layer and the walls are one the same material zone- never mind the fact that the beds are half buried in the walls.
tehehehehe ... guess that cures the "headaches" lol ...
got a link/source for the download?

The files at Foundation 3D appear to be bad- they won't download and open properly for me.

Yes something appears to have happened over there. I got some files good but a few and notably one large file were bad. I sent them an email [after making sure it was nothing to do with the modem etc over here].

Check your e-mails. :-)
So bout that sickbay... Is it available/download working again?
David
Not when I checked last night. The original model is in 3DS Max. The one I used had been converted- but it's been so long, I don't remember if I converted or if it was converted when I got it. The orignial zip is on a storage disc somewhere....
Yeah I had seen the one on Foundation3D a while back. I dont have 3DMax so converting it is out of the question. :(

Thanks, replied. :-)
Just 'in general' folks, while max files may be unusable unless converted, sometimes the zips include some nice relevant textures for the rooms ;-)
Somewhere, might have been Turbo, I bought for like, $1 a max file of "Earth" ... HUGE earth image which is of course useable on any .obj file.
Though the very best one, don't have the link handy, was really 'too big' [also was free] ... a .tiff file which must have been meant for super film production because it'd choke most home computers. But it was a lovely find.
One problem is pretty much solved. This Transporter Room is the one from Foundation 3D. But it's Been converted for Poser by Dan "Fretslayer" Baran. And it's several years old because the scene file's screen for render settings looked like it was the verison used around Poser 6. There was no date or e-mail address in the readme. So I have no idea how to get permission to share this.
Pretty! Yeah, I hope we can find him and ask him to allow redistribution . . .
Anyone know his e-mail address?
OKay, I tracked Fretslayer down at Foundation 3D and sent him a PM. Now it's a question of whether he'll reply.
I think he will. After all, he posted in the previous iterations of of the ongoing Trek thread as well as some others before DAZ "revamped" its tools. He seemed a very polite fellow.
Sincerely,
Bill
