Complaint: My w/l no longer loads the images and when I try to load the images by hand, I get "Bad Gateway".

It's another cache problem. They've had a lot of them lately. Oddly, the path to the image indicates it is a 113x113 pixel image, the Type indicates that it's text. :ohh: And the dimensions indicate that it is 0x0 pixels, scaled to 91x15 pixels. Sorry, multipy 0 by as much as you want, you'll still get zero!

    Dana

Yeah apparently that problem wasn't caused by the other problem, It has been flagged up though.

I had something like that originally, up in the top right corner, but I hid it because I wasn't sure how "accurate" it was.
The eagle is 2.2 meters tall though o3o

I also had in place of the head-shot in the bottom left corner a drawing of my wyvern, but I erased that. It looked too poorly drawn. =P

Not a good idea. Last summer I had to get a refrigerator repair person to my place. when he got into the bottom, there was a big block of ice. I asked how that could happen. He said the recirculator motor died. "What could cause that?", I asked. He said, if the door was left open, even a little bit, for a length of time, that could do it. Then I remembered that one day I got up an hour or two after my wife had left for work and the door was open...just a crack. He said that would do it.

Save the expense and close that door!

...same here, though these days one bottle of beer (the good stuff, not the industrial swill) is enough partying for me especially when it is a 750ML bottle and has a high specific gravity yielding an ABV rating of 9%.

...we don't fool around out here in Orygun.

Besides, did too much of the "up close & personal" during my commutes this week and needed a little breathing space.

Was able to finish early last night and get a ride home. Such a difference Walked in the door of the flat at 17:35 (and that as with some traffic) instead of 19 15. Went down to the corner pizza joint got a couple slices then stopped at the market on the way home for the beer.

Nice, relaxing evening for about half of what it would have cost me (sans dinner) art the pub and no feeling "ugh" and tired in the morning.

Just curious, anyone heard from Ms Wolf recently? She's been noticeably absent from this, the Stupid thread, and her Dr Who Render thread.

Cool and damp outside today, took all my motivation to go to the coffee shop and load up on caffiene. :-S Supposed to rain off and on all weekend.

Reinstalling Bryce Pro 7.1 now as I sip my latte', then I have a cup of Mexican coffee, and an American with cream chilling in the fridge. Should keep me awake long enough to install a lot of the 5.6GB :bug: of Bryce content I have. :gulp:

I did manage to extract the MicroSD card from my Vizio Android tablet, so it's ready to sell. I need to reformat/reinstall WinXP on the Dell D610 so I can sell it, too. I have 5 computers right now.. ugh! :bug:

Partied too hardy last night - I had more fun then is allowed by law :snake: but what the heck, one of my fave dancers was working! :smirk:

Need to sell 2 guitars to make room for 1 new one, sigh. Dropping down to 2 axes, two effects pedals, the drum machine ansd the multitracxk.. going to switch to solo guitar and become a singer/songwriter. Simplify, simplify/! :cheese:

I have a Dell D610 running Windows XP, 2GB RAM (maxed out) and 40GB HD.. I have the second battery that goes in place of the DVD drive, so it gets a LOT of running time. 14in screen and a kick ass keyboard!

I was going to sell it for dirt cheap on Craigslist. If you want, you can just have it, free. :) I can't ship it until next Payday or the one after, so it could be 2-3 weeks before it shows up at your place. If you don't mind waiting, I can save you a crapload of cash. It's in perfect running shape, the fan is a bit loud but works just fine. Comes with second battery, DVD drive, Dell restore CD, and a cheap ass laptop bag. :smirk:

Best of all, I know it'll be going to a good home! :cheese:

PM me if you're interested and we can work out the details.

My main squeeze is a Fender Strat FSR model, humbucker/single coil/single coil, candy apple red with a rosewood fingerboard. She's my #1 girl and won't get sold until I'm very dead. :snake: I have a cheap Ibanez Gio G206 six-string bass, black, to be sold. I have an Ibanez RG250DX with a dead middle pickup and missing locking screws on the nut, was going to be my project guitar until I got burned out of my old place and now I have no room to work on it, gonna dump it for $50 w/ gig bag just to get it out the door.

Guitar I'm going to buy: Fender Nashville Telecaster!

...be glad you don't play keyboards like I do. Remember the triple keyboard virtual organ console with the dual touch screens that I posted pics of a while back? That would take up about the same, if not slightly larger footprint, than my workstation area (two computer desks, cube table, & office chair) does now..

...it would also put a 7,500$ dent in the ol' bank account too (and that is sans the software which, with the core programme and the three sampled instrument packages I want, would add about another 2,500$).

However ten grand for totally faithful digital reproductions of a renowned 19th century French Romantic 17th Century French Baroque, and 17th century German Baroque organ (which include ambient acoustics) is still a heck of a deal considering the actual instruments are priceless works of art that you need top flight credentials (e.g. Julliard, Eastman, Royal Academy of Music, Conservatoire de Paris) to sit down at to play.

Guitar I'm going to buy: Fender Nashville Telecaster!

My main instrument was bass when I was playing. I have a Music Man Sabre II with active electronics (needs a 9 volt battery-first time I had a guitar that needed a battery) that I got in the late 70s, new, and an older (my first) bass that's a hollow body violin style one, by Royal Artist. It's an unknown name, but it's a really nice bass. I got it from my best friend in high school, when he got his Fender Precision bass. I still have it after all these years, and the neck is still nice. I graduated high school in 1971. I have a Gibson SG Custom from the 60's. It has three full humbucking pickups, double sided pick guard, walnut with gold hardware, ebony fretless wonder neck. (it has frets, but they're really low and flat...good for fast licks, not so good for stretching if you're out of practice especially) I removed the tremelow bar, it goes out of tune easily. It wasn't a Bisby, stock Gibson. I have looked at a lot of SGs and haven't seen one quite the same as this one. I plugged in the serial number on Gibson's site, but they didn't keep good records back then, so the closest they could come was between 1965 and 1969, I think. It's been a while since I checked. I have a Guild F48 acoustic, really nice fat sound. I got that in the mid to late 70s. And I have a G&L Legacy Special with the blade pickups. I wanted a Strat style guitar, and saw this baby on sale for 40% off, and plopped down the money on the spot. That's a really nice guitar. G&L was Leo Fender's last company, as far as I know. It stands for George and Leo, George being his long time partner in guitar making. I started playing drums in the mid 60s, but I don't have my drum kit anymore. I also have a Fender Rhodes 88, early model with no bass boost know. Never had the pedals for that, my father-in-law made something up for me...don't know if I still have it, I think so, but everything is in a mess down in the basement. And I have a Roland Juno 60 synthesizer, analog. If I remember correctly, it's a 16 note polyphonic. I'm no keyboardist, but I can do some things with it. I owned these things with a band I had in the late 70s. I also owned the PA system, which had a Peavey 10 channel stereo board, a pair of EV Century IVA speakers, lots of mics and cables and stands. I still own two Byer Dynamics mics, I think M3s? And one Senheiser mic, pistol grip style...always was attached to a boom. I've seen them in a lot of videos and they always had the same damage, a taped up mount. It must have been a flaw in the design. I sold the Peavey board and the speakers. I also onwed the drum kit at the time, a really nice Slingerland kit. Sold that, too. I kept the Latin Percussion double strung chimes, and the Paiste 2001 series large ride symbol. That was a nice one, it has silver in the mix and rang like crazy. The drummer used to have to grab it with two hands to damp it if he'd been riding it a while. Way back in the 60s I bought a Germienhardt solid silver flute and learned Tull's version of Bouret and a few other things. Still have that, too. I'm afraid to open the case, it's probably all black. I have some jeweler's rouge to clean it up with, but still. Yeah, I try different things now and then. Although I haven't bought a new instrument since the 90s. I have a nice MesaBoogie Rocket 44 amp for the guitars. My bass amp is nice, but it starting popping the fuse in the head. It's a Peavey Mark III with an 18" speaker in a folded horn style cabinet. REally nice sound, and it had this channel mixer footswitch that allowed me to use both channels, so I could have a crisp sound with a deep, deep bass sound at the same time. I haven't had good luck with bass amps, though. I had one I borrowed from a friend, it was stolen from my basement (in 1970 or 71, I forget - I lived in a project at the time) Then I bought a really nice one, Standel. They're out of business. It was great. Then the first time I jammed with someone, it went poof. The company was out of business, and they did something odd with their electronics...the preamp head's circuit board was embedded in a resin. Repair meant removing that and replacing it with a new board. Since they were out of buisness... At least the Peavey lasted a while, I played out a lot with it. Then the last band I was in, in rehearsal it started popping the fuse. I haven't had the money to get it looked at recently. Oh, I also have an old Roland Space Echo...the ones with the tape cartridge!

Well, enough of that. (or maybe too much?)

I never played drums, I had a gf for a few years that was a drummer.. she'd stick me behind her kit and I'd just flail away.. she declared me hopeless at drums (lol)! I can't drum to save my life. :-S I was second chair trombone in high school, until I started playing guitar to catch girls (oddly enough I ended up falling in love with guitar and kind of forgot about women for a bit, heh).

I've played guitar off and on for 25 years, now, bass for about 6 years, and keys for about 5. I had piano lessons- classical - and at one time could almost play my fave piano piece, the Moonlight Sonata. :red: I'm not really a keys layer, my (now ex) wife convinced me I was a bass/keys guy and she did all the guitar parts! That should have been a warning sign (heh) but I was young and dumb and infatuated. :red:

I figure that I'll do fine with 2 guitars, my RP355, and the JamMan looper pedal. I have a Zoom RT-223 drum/bass machine that I use to jam/practice with that might be replaced by the looper pedal, which can maintain a library of drum loops and is about 1/3 the size of the drum machine. :blank: I'm not playing out so I don't need an amp, everything goes into my Tascam PocketStudio digital 4-track and into headphones.. saves wear and tear on my housemates (lol)!

I just play to keep my sanity, and to express things that sometimes I can't put into words. :red:
