    I'm pondering some crazy stuff.

Like... if temperature creeps up to -5 C at night, I would like to drag one of the foldable guest beds to my balcony, set up some wind barriers around it plus cover (basically make it like a pillow+sheet fort to retain heat), get double blankets, wear something appropriate, and then try to sleep over night there. But I'm sure I need some more to make sure I won't get frostbites or hypothermia (even if I'm seriously cold-resistant; I am not stupid and I know one can die from it, especially after falling asleep).

I think I'll let my laziness to win, though. Sounds like too much effort for satisfying my curiosity.

What would make you want to do something like that?

That seems kind of extreme.. just sleep in front of the open fridge, if it gets too cold you can close it! :smirk:

I like cold weather and cold air. My bedroom doesn't have heating turned on, despite it being winter; it is staying warm mostly on sheer mass of the building, insulation, household running four computers and myriad of other devices that produce heat plus our own bodies. I sleep much better in cool air, and it is much better quality too -- less nightmares, less tossing about as I want to find a cool spot on my pillow or mattress, easier to breathe, etc.

    Why? o.0

(I would imagine you'd get frostbite on your "exposed surfaces"... $0.02c ;-) )

Yes, figuring out how to do it safely is something that needs to be taken into account -- honestly, frostbite is the least of the worries, as hypothermia can knock one unconscious, and then you die.

I might need to delay this experiment till it is +5 C in spring.

Heh... hypothermia? ... hyperthermia is what we have to worry about around here ;-)

Yep. Luckily to me, my SO tolerates this particular quirk and has nothing against it.

i'm so psyched. a friend at work explained how easy it is to make homemade alfredo sauce. hungreeee

it would be more exciting to make the pasta homemade, too. i need to find a utube to show me, reading doesn't really help what to do.
something about a ring, and a well in the middle and turning the flour from the outer ring?

the alfredo sauce takes 2 egg yolks. that's 2 down and 10 more to go for when i use the 12 egg whites for making the angel cake. i'm using unbleached flour, so it'll be a lil less angelic.

    Charmed season3 is delivered, yayy.

i ordered a EZsee keyboard for at the dayjob, cuz they weren't gonna buy one for me. Looking at getting a back lit kb for home.

saw a heated footrest, a lil too comfortable, lol. bet it would make a lot of cats happy somewhere.

Yeah, let's talk about the store... I just bought a few items on the store, and even though the first downloads went by smoothly, but after the first few items, I went to download another, and it said "Sorry, this download is not available." I was, like, why? I just bought these, and haven't downloaded them yet, and now i found myself having to use a Product Reset, and it didn't even show up back in the list. Weird. I'm wondering if this is another glitch in the site when it comes to downloading products you've purchased, but have numbers of downloads available.

Hey I am a poor lowly mod, not a troubleshooter for the DAZ 3D Store. If you still have the problem, then please file a support ticket.

Not a good idea. Last summer I had to get a refrigerator repair person to my place. when he got into the bottom, there was a big block of ice. I asked how that could happen. He said the recirculator motor died. "What could cause that?", I asked. He said, if the door was left open, even a little bit, for a length of time, that could do it. Then I remembered that one day I got up an hour or two after my wife had left for work and the door was open...just a crack. He said that would do it.

Save the expense and close that door!

Sometimes, for some reason, the downloads page duplicates files. Other times, there seem to be updates that replace some files and they don't get them out of the system before someone tries to download them. Then when you refresh, they're not listed, because they removed them. It might be one of those. Still, eight months and counting and there are plenty of "undocumented features" lingering on this site!

It's another cache problem. They've had a lot of them lately. Oddly, the path to the image indicates it is a 113x113 pixel image, the Type indicates that it's text. :ohh: And the dimensions indicate that it is 0x0 pixels, scaled to 91x15 pixels. Sorry, multipy 0 by as much as you want, you'll still get zero!
