A squirrel gnawed a hole in our cylindrical bird feeder and got all of the seeds over a couple of days. He keeps coming back to our apartment balcony to see if we've put out more yet.

I keep hoping the rufous hummingbird will stab him (he definitely has an anger problem, that bird), but so far no luck.

+1 for the humming bird punching above weight :)

    Don't know but YAY.

It only lets you know you purchased it when you open the product page.
You can still add it to your cart when you are in any type of listing page for several products.
It does not tell you you have previously purchased it when added that way, so it is still a problem, but we'll take whatever we can get at this point.

Throwing out a HELLO to Woolyloach!

As I remember, you changed your avatar and started referring to yourself as a feathered serpent a while back. Don't know why. ...I can't help it though... Every time I see your name a maritime horror track plays through my mind and I once again see the great leviathan, the great and terrifying Wooly Sea Loach, speeding toward a tall ship like the Nautilus barreling down on its prey, its great and wooly fin cutting the waves like some ungodly shark. Thank you/curse you for infecting me with this great imagery, and others like it, such as the zombie slugs. ;-P

    rrrrrrrrrrrrroooooooooooooofffffffffffffflllllllllllllll!!! :P Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooolllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy :ahhh:

    I guess once a loach, always a loach! %-P

11:10am in sunny and warmish Austin, Texas!

Well, I moved back into my old room last night, here in the back house. The repair folks did a killer job, place looks brand new! I need to get house supplies today and tomorrow, nothing is left.. but I bought feed so the loach won't starve (heh).

I'm already tired, though. :blank: Woke up, made coffee, set up my second laptop, set up the tablet PC, set up my recording gear, unpacked and arranged the guitars, cleaned up a bunch of old crud left in the house, set up the bathroom, then cooked sage sausage and eggs with hot salsa. :blank:

Finally eating now.. hungryyyyyyyyyyyyyy.. but my room is mostly set up and all my tech is operational! :cheese: It's nice to be back on the 21in monitor and illuminated keyboard. :) Poser and Bryce are sooooooo much easier to work with now!

I'll likely nap most of the afternoon, then it's off to the UPS Store to buy supplies for shipping.

Rocking to my classical playlist.. Night on Bald Mountain blasting out of the laptop at max volume.. life could be worse!

Ok, Carrara 8 installed, writing software off this machine, all writing/ePubishing stuff on the Asus laptop, Google Drive set up, all writing projects now on Google Drive so I can access them from any machine.. whew!

Backing up my content and installers to an external drive now.. 5 hours left.. :bug: :ahhh: probably a good time to go do that grocery shopping and then nap. :blank: :blank:

wantz a weight mapped with helper bones M4. wantzzzz

..actually you can do that in 4.5 without Gen X and Genesis. I successfully created a Tri Ax Steph 4. Load and select your M4, then go to Edit > Figure> Rigging > Convert to Weight Map. It will give you a choice of Tri Ax or General Weight mapping. Select which one then click on "Accept" and the conversion will be underway.

Unfortunately because of the geometry change you will have a devil of a time getting Gen4 clothing to fit correctly without a lot of conversion and manual shaping through Magnets/DFormers. When loading a piece of clothing it doesn't automatically conform to the figure and you have to manually perform the "fit to". Unlike with a Gen4 rigged figure, the clothing does not automatically adjust with character shape/body morphs so you have to select the clothing item and apply the FBMs/PBMs to it as well. Also depending on the clothing content the conversion can hose the UV mapping targets as well.

Another issue is because the character is unique, the Transfer Utility will not recognise it and not offer the usual conversion parameters. The only other option I can see would be to use the Morph Loader which again seems like a lot of work.

Tried to run a test but actually had holes in some of the clothing mesh that were not the result of pokethrough, and while trying to fix them the application crashed due to high memory usage (on the 32 bit notebook at the hotspot).

One way I haven't tried yet is to build the character using the Gen4 version, applying clothing, hair, textures & all before converting to WM. Of course you would have to do this for each instance of the character if they wear different clothes for another scene and for each character based on the particular Gen4 model. That is a lot of effort for a very small gain.

In short, it seems more trouble than it is worth Which is why I ended up shelling out the Zlotys for GenX as well as the Aiko/Hiro3 and Gen4 body shapes.

Granted, the WM conversion is "leaner" memory wise than a Genesis loaded up with "legacy" morphs and characters though GenX, but the latter is so much easier to work with.,

You would almost be better off to get the various joint fix utilities available for the Gen4 figures and not even bother with weight mapping an older model.

    W00t! :cheese: :cheese:

I hope I get to stay here a while this time. :blank: If I have to move again, the next move will be OUT. I love my landlady, she's a nice old lady, but she has issues settling on a thing and sticking to it (not like I can talk, though). I'm starting a "mad money" account Monday to save up for a "moving emergency" in case some new bit of idiocy happens.. I'll go ahead and pay the extra for a studio apartment somewhere near the UT campus. :-S

If I wanted to move every six months, I'd be a REAL migrant programmer and take all these six month contracts scattered all over the U.S. - at least I'd get to travel the country.. grumble curse. :blank:

it was a glitch. I cleared my internet history and the products show I have not bought either which I thought.

it would be weird for daz to put orders in for items that I thought about but did not buy or put into wish list.

    Complaint...

I just received my first spot.

Out, damn'd spot! out, I say!

But there it sits beneath my insignificant little avatar.

A green spot... A diminutive square... A jester mocking my weakness.

To have succumbed to the lure of this topic tentacled monster.
To have bared my soul to strangers. (Not really.)
To have possibly and unrestrainedly typed a few incoherent thoughts. (More likely.)
To have posted to such an extent, to such a number. (Admittedly small.)

    The shame.
    The horror.
    The wildly exaggerated melodrama!

    ...Not Really.
    ...

Oh... By-the-way... Hello Complaint Thread! I've missed you. Hope everyone is doing well or has enough to complain about. ...Wait. Uh... That doesn't sound right. I mean... Well, you know what I mean. I think. I hope...

Note: I wasn't here and you didn't see this.

    *nudge nudge nudge*

    !!! SNOWBUG !!!

    Is it really you?

    <<< HUGS >>>

It is so good to hear from you! I've missed you and your trepidation inducing cookies... but especially you! ;-)

I hope you are doing well, and the same goes for the polar bears and squirrels.

Darn. You've tricked me into being one post closer to earning another dreaded spot. LOL

Both of my evil plans are working, then.

I'm not sure if this is really me, or my clone, tough. How can you tell?

(I hope you are doing well, too. *hug*)
