when the weather predicts snow showers, do they mean snow that pours down steady like rain? or those sweet fluff bits that whirlies gently, falls soft as feathers?

is Ps1 still at the beach?

I was wondering the same thing.

Well, I'm off to make a big pot of Italian Lentil and barley soup with carrots, cellery, onions, tomatoes, etc. I like to divide it up into several meals throughout the week. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. ...and the pics in the above post aren't helping.

Good luck with future attempts on that tasty loaf of bread Misty Whisky. ;-)

Oh, a bit of this, a bit of that (~_~)... At work I've fortunately fallen into a small project that requires me to play in Blender all day, AND they pay me for it! \(^_^)/... unfortunately, it finishes sometime in March, but hey, it's the journey that's important, right? ;-). It does tend to mean I'm a little "vertexed/shadered out" by the time I get home though (-_-).

Otherwise, I'm just hanging around poking the thread occasionally, nomming Misty's wonderful homemade baking when she's not watching >:-)... and doing waaaay too few renders just now >_<. Still keeping quite a few vendors afloat though :o) ... this past new year was ridiculously expensive (*ahem* waaay too many specials X).</p>

...[insert string of choice expletives in 48 point type here]

Midway though my post got hit with a reset that killed what I was writing. That was one strike.

As I was trying to reconstruct it, FF crashed to the desktop, and when I restarted it it didn't save the tabs I had open like it usually does. That was the second.

Par for the type of day I've been having.

Not feeling all that well and things like this strain what little patience that remains. Yeah did my best to dodge the viral bullets but one finally tagged me, big time. Part of the reason I haven't been as active as usual.

The other part, work has literally become hell on top of how I am feeling. Dealing with the transition of the client that is leaving has been a nightmare. Almost impossible to fill and ship orders any more as so much stock has been shipped back east. Spending more time posting back-order and product need reports than actually getting orders shipped, it is becoming ridiculous. It pretty much has become an exercise in futility.

ON top of it had an overly time consuming project dropped in my lap today while having to maintain everything else.

Days have become long, made even longer due to the way I am feeling. Can't take any time off because we are so short handed.

PC at the workplace has been running real slow lately making it even harder to get things done. Part of it is due to the overteched and dumbed down Office 2010 software. Part of it might be that the machine I have is just too old to support the workload I have to do. Part of it is also most likely due to an overburdened intranet. I wonder just how much of my day is wasted waiting around for pages to come up, apps to open, and operations to complete.

...apologies for the rant. Been a second Monday today. >:(

Many hours of work, and I've shaded my snake picture! =D

I tried a few new things while doing this too.
One of my friends - who is a HUUUGE snake fan and owns a Royal Python (Named him "Julius Squeazar" XD ) had this to say about my recent snake drawings (And unuploaded doodles)
"The habits for drawing proportions and coil positioning, you seem to have."

I do seem to be getting better, especially looking back at my earliest snake pictures. Kelen's real nitpicky about how snakes are dawn, and "overly fat" snakes really get on his nerves, apparently since that's fatal for them.

Anyhoo. Flat shading original and the final product, for comparison :3

Interesting to see the before and after. I wouldn't know how to do that in a 2D app. Nice work.

After much reading, I decided to go onto Amazon and buy myself a downloadable copy of Civilization III. After sending out the $20, I realized something - the product I bought was a Macintosh only download >_<</p>

Twenty bucks wasted. Even worse, doing some searching I can't find ANY Windows version of a downloadable purchase - they only have boxed versions available =/
    *sighs* Oh well...

    So there's my complaint V_V

Nothing wrong with unemployment if you can afford to live well between jobs.. the joy of being a contractor and all that. :)

Complaint: got rained on coming to work, I love the rain but combined with wind I always end up damp! :-S

Non-complaint: played with Carrara 8.1 last night, installed my Digital Carvers Guild and Inagoni plugins, played some more, then played a little bit more, rendered a touch, played... then discovered it was midnight! :red: :red:

I forgot how fun Carrara can be! I haven't tried modeling anything yet, but the shader system reminds me a bit of old Lightwave, and I like the particle systems (when I don't crash 'em, lol)! I still prefer PPro 2012 for portraits and pinups, though.

Dinked about with DS 4.5 a bit, it's easier tha PPro to create a basic scene but I feel like it's not as flexible if you really push it.. could just be Learning Cirve(tm). :-S

Still can't decide if I want to go on a mini-vacation or get a new guitar... argh! :ahhh: :ahhh:

Oooh, I like the fairytale cottage too, and the pirate ship!

lol, the pirate ship is very tempting.

i need to learn how to make frosting from scratch before i could do a yummi pirate ship.

the good ship lollipop, lol, if it wasn't sung by Shirley Temple, that song would be oh so risque.

Urgh, after some consideration I'm going to shuffle my priorities to: #1 being writing, #2 being visual arts, #3 being music.

I keep kicking this Webcomic idea around, it'd be perfect since it's a combo of writing an art, and wouldn't distract much from my primary writing tasks (and be good practice as well). It seems like a good idea.

I'm going to drop back to just ONE guitar for a while, since this whole moving thing is a PITA and dragging 2-3 guitars around is a huge thorn in my side - at least I can cram all 3 laptops into a rolling suitcase! :bug:

Simplify, simplify, use what I have, stop buying stuff I don't need and will never use. Argh! :ahhh: :ahhh:

Not quite lunch here, but soon! :)

I have soup as well but I'm thinking of a club sub, not too much bread and lots of meat and veggies. Not sure I want to risk getting rained on, though. :-S
