@Skiriki: yeah, that's a possibility... but I'm not going to jump through hoops for this - it's a luxury not a necessity v(~_~)v. Just going to wait and see what happens - it seems the process changes every few weeks anyway (sometimes it's absolutely verboten, then it just works, then it's optional, then it's working again %).

Aaaand we're heading for 36 again... not quite the 100. Lovely cool morning though ~_~.

I swapped from buying stuff with PayPal to cred card like six months ago, and so far so good. *knocks on wood*

We buy everything with Paypal. That is how we get paid so its just easier to use it for everything. The only money that goes in our regular bank is the money for the rent and water bill. Then i write a check for those two.

Actually the only reason I had CC details on the site was to pay my monthly PC renewal, because when I changed to monthly they would only accept CC for payment, adn that was several years ago. So really it has just gone full circle on the renewals

I use Paypal for most things. I also have a prepaid VISA (Walmart branded, urgh) that I use for hotels, travel reservations, and the like.

I've only had 2 issues with Paypal, one took 5 days to resolve, the other 2 weeks and several nasty letters. No problems in the past 2 years, though.

Urgh, wish I were at home, writing and rendering. Back to pricing new laptops, since I'm having to move and sell most of my stuff I've dropped buying another guitar and can use that budget for an i7 (once I settle someplace permanent). Maybe a Toshiba or Asus.

The only problem we have with Paypal is them occasionally shutting the card off when they think its been stolen. It real embarrassing when your at the checkout lane in the store and it get denied because they shut it off cause the charged look suspicious.

Bryce always treats me well, and since I have this nice new PC I am even managing to really push it without crashing. It is very strange, as I normally push Bryce to the crashing limit.

You want to crash Bryce, turn on dispalcement without changing the rendering priority, always does it for me.

Pity it requires C4D Studio to use ^_^ (Makes use of the "Thinking Particles" part of Cinema)

But roots, vines, and other tangly things? All procedurally generated? Awesome stuff.

Now that's a Thunderbird! Anybody notice that Ford has a problem keeping small cars small? The T-Bird got larger and larger until it was considered a luxury vehicle. they did the same thing to the Mercury Cougar. Even the Mustang suffered the same thing, but it didn't get too out of hand. I do like the look of the new Mustang. I'm not a Ford person, though. If I were rich, I might get a Mustang. But for now I stick with my Toyotas.

Sipping a cup of tofu miso soup (made from a packet), so nice. :)

Blech, finding a new place to live is a bother, but I've started looking around. Worst-case there are several extended stay inns with kitchenettes I can hole up in while looking for the right place, so I have fallbacks. Could be worse!

I'm going to have a moving sale this weekend or the next, dump a pile of stuff and donate what doesn't sell. Urgh, I have a bag of clothes I need to get to Goodwill, it'll have to wait until Friday. Friday is my run-around-all-day day!. :)

The amazing thing is that my entire "recording studio" fits in one small corner of my rolling duffel bag! :bug: 2 Zoom MS-50s pedals, a JamMan Solo XT loop pedal, and my Tascam digital 4-track! The Strat takes up more room than all that! :bug:

Maybe tonight I'll fire up Crossdresser and see if I can't get the RDNA feathered corset on to Mike, then some spike heels. Hee hee hee, Mike is gonna be sooooo prettyyyyy... :snake: :snake:

    I hate snow.
    I hate ice.
I hate Vanilla Ice (but that has nothing to do with the weather and is completely unrelated)
    I hate heavy icy snow...
I hate that damn huge 4ft deep 20 ft wide snow drift across my driveway which keeps coming back every time it snows...
I hate shoveling out a 8 foot by 50 ft path so I can actually use my driveway... I hate the stupid @%$&<?§•¡™# who designed my crummy snowblower... I hate the friggin' plow guy who failed to plow our street until it was too late, then sealed the end of my driveway in a 5ft high wall of icebergs...
But then I have to keep that to myself because my daughters LOVE snow... and this catastrophe was the only real snow we had all winter... and after all the digging and cursing, I still end up making a stupid snowman (who for some unknown reason they named "Scott"... I mean who names a snowman-"Scott".... really)...
I really had it today, the roads were crazy dangerous with huge slabs of ice everywhere, flooding, fog and STUPID drivers, driving in the fog with no headlights on... yeah, a white car with no headlights on in the fog pulling out from behind a 8 ft mountain of snow... and you still expect finish your McLatte and live to see the next American Idol.
    Idiots.
Sooooo many BAD drivers making a bad situation worse. Really, I think we need a sensor that detects if it is too dark or murky out and if you don't turn on the lights- it electrocutes you... forget turning on the headlights for you, we have those, people just turn it off... this just kills you- BAM! You had your chance- shoulda read the manual!
That seems a bit over the top, but at least General motors sent me a letter thanking me for my input... Ford sent me something that looks like a restraining order and BMW said they might incorporate it into some of the models sold only in Germany... they are VERY serious about driving over there.
I really want to win at the lottery, not so I can buy myself fancy cars and a working Ironman suit, but so I take my winnings and go to some corruption riddled little country and bribe someone over there to make me the ambassador of... I don't care what... bottle-caps, LOL cats or avocados... who cares, whatever you got... all I want is to be able to go back home with diplomatic plates, so I can weld extra steel I-beams to the front of my army surplus hummer, so when some nimrod with no headlights on emerges from the fog 3/4 of the way into my lane, I don't have to swerve onto the shoulder to avoid them... "Tsk-tsk... sorry, yeah, I know its not your fault, you dropped your iPad while you were face-timing with your girlfriend and you didn't want her to see the porn mags under the front seat... but yeah... diplomatic plates... so gotta go... have a GREAT day!"....
I can dream can't I. So what if my dreams are dark and vengeance filled. I'm a malcontent, malevolent entity, I never promised anyone a rose garden... really, though... who promises people rose gardens? Cash, lewd acts or fame... but a rose garden?
    I'm done...
Well, I hope everyone here at DAZ who lives in the Nemo-Zone got home safely.
    See ya later.

    ...hehhehheh.

The thing is many of these idiots seem oblivious to the danger of tangling with a larger vehicle (especially those in SUVs). Everyday when I'm on the bus, I see at least one or two near misses per trip where we are cut off, have a car pull out of a driveway, or yank a left turn right in front of us as we are moving at speed. One tonne car vs. an eighteen tonne bus. Guess who wins?

Unfortunately these fools don't realise (or care) that everyone on the bus (save for the driver) does not have the benefit of restraints or airbags like they have. Maybe one way to educate them would be to take them to the bus yard, seat them on on bus, have the driver accelerate to about 30 - 35 mph then lock up the brakes.

it sucks to have to work for a living. lol

'plaints - i need a bigger kitchen. bigggger with vent thingees, a kitchen island, one of those smooth-top ovens with 6 heater spots.

No arguments there. I'd love to stay home and write and render all day, but.. bills.

    ...I'll second that.

The one big "toy" I'd like would be a professional chef's kitchen.

6 burner gas range island with grill
    Gas oven (main)
    Convection oven
    Wood fired oven
    Polished granite topped counters.
    Commercial grade fridge/freezer (maybe even a walk-in)
    Commercial grade dishwasher
All stainless steel and cast Iron cookware
Professional grade tools (knives, utensils, gadgets, etc)

...and a place to put my trusty old MixMaster.

Tell me about it. And yet, I can't get hired. I've been out of work for quite a while now. Different issues have held me up, kept me down, jerked me around. And depression has hindered my concentration and ability to pick up new stuff quickly like I used to. My area of expertise has become a dinosaur, so I have to learn new stuff. It isn't working out well. Been using my website as a tool to learn new things, while at the same time hoping that I can make money with it...if I could only get it finished.

Tired of working for someone else and then being laid off, while they hang on to their millions as they close the company, but I lose all my savings and pile up debt.

    Dana
...in a month or so may find myself in the same position as the client who's account I handle will no longer be with out company.

Having to find a new job while pushing 60 is not something I am looking forward to. They say there are laws against age discrimination, but there are so many loopholes to skirt them.

...c'mon Megabucks, If I ever needed those numbers to fall just right for me, it's now.
