Normal means "standing at a right angle".

;-)

Which is why I say "When it comes to reality, by the only objective standard I am aware of, I'm normal."

Remaining perpendicular
Requires no skill in particular
But is hard to maintain
A vertical frame
If you travel in anything vehicular

Oh, and Salvatore, Dana mostly hung out in Netjera's thread in the Members Only forum, while you were mostly in the KMWill Fan Club and Complaint threads. I think JasmineSkunk and I were the only ones who regularly went back and forth between the two groups.

Quite possibly... there have been a lot of complaint threads under the bridge since 2006 <(^_^)... I claim senility and 297G of content zips and installers ;-).

Complaint: I've just received my "marching orders" email - '... thou shalt not pay for PC with PayPal...you will then need to purchase a Membership via credit card through our site, or you are at risk of losing your membership benefits.' - unfortunately direct from bcreek as well. Having seen what has happened with magic credit card charges to other users, I'm sorry but no WAY is any CC information heading into this site.

I've been paying my $7.95 dues each month since 2006, when I first fell in love with Aiko3 and that blue-and-pink Lotus set by Neyjour - always meant to switch to yearly payments, but somehow never got around to it >_<. Unfortunately, the last version or two of DS has really not inspired me to do much rendering (although I've always told myself that all these purchases are "investments.... for when I get time to render" (~_~)h) - and the Poser interface is still ... not to my taste. On the positive side, I've gotten a whole lot better with Blender in these past 12 months of Magneto though :D.

*meh* nothing really conclusive yet, I'll wait and see what happens with the auto-charging that's currently in place next month (waay too frightened to touch it - apparently Wendy<3catz tried to switch from monthly to annual and got stuffed up). Will it go into store credit? will the periodic charge not be made? will it be refunded direct to PP? will it cause the universe to implode and the unflateable pony to appear? who can say v(>_<)v.

Well, they lost me as a PC member a week before the Anniversary this last year. And nothing I've seen is enticing me back. DS 3 was fine, but 4 seemed to ignore everything the focus group said in favor of what the bosses wanted to do. I find it (still) to be an overly large, clunky interface that prohibits the nice workflow I had developed back in DS2.

I've also been a nearly constant fixture in the monthly Freebie Challenge (not the official contest, but the one overseen by music2u4u and hosted by a different person every month). I'm not an official or anything, I just like the folks (in general) and the atmosphere, and the challenge. I've entered a few, but not very recently.

This wonderfully stable site has been doing that to people without just cause. I just cleared up the issue with mine, which was annual, but the account was saying it was monthly. I was told that it was going to expire, even though I'm paid up until May 14th. it was finally straightened out, but not without more bull. I will not use my credit card here anymore, either. I just don't trust them with it anymore.

It will only be 12 months on May 16th. But we're close. And they had it before that in testing.

It couldn't be refunded to PayPal because it can't be purchased with PayPal. But I've seen people say that how to get around that is purchase a Gift Certificate, claim it for yourself, and use that to pay for the subscription.

I am in a bad financial situation, so unless that changes, I can't do it anyway. And if certain other things don't become better here, I'll be letting it drop anyway, even if I do have the money in May.

By the way...I picked up Poser Pro 2010 last year really cheap at amazon.com ($45) and the first time I opened it up and tried something, I got a fairly decent render out of it. And I even used the cloth room to set up an animated drape of a dynamic outfit...on Miki 3. I was surprised at how easily I got around in it, after hearing that it was difficult. I'm not so sure about the shaders and all those "nodes" and things. That may be a little tricky. But then, I've never done anything with DS shaders, either. In fact, I've not done much of anything lately at all.

Except post ;-). No worries, it's just a "recharge phase", you'll start Doing Stuff when the time Is Right (~h~).

Yeah, I got PoserPro-2010 on some deal or other as well - used it to test some python scripting, but that grotesque "four-handed" mutant thingy really turns me right off (>_<). Weird, juvenile and superficial I know :P. The rest of the interface just doesn't work for me - even worse than Blender-2.49 ever was ;-). Anyway, lots of other people can do lots of pretty things with it, so that's okay -_-.

Yup, they're all just tools. Some folks become fanatical about them, but to me, they're just tools. It's the end result that matters, and each has its advantages...and disadvantages.

wahhh weather is predicting 2-5 " more snow tonight.

the person who drove me the last couple days says he can pick me up tomorrow morning, but getting home will be my problem. the sidewalks are completely buried, there is nowhere to stand to wait for the bus.

they have me answering phones for the building, cuz the other person is out the rest of the week. she's a lot closer and she has a car.
they don't really expect me to come in the rest of the week, do they?

other disaster:
yahoo web hosting just announced they switching to ftps. which is nice, but my version Dreamweaver8 no has ftps. and i'm not buying an upgrade to adobe version. i was so unhappy with the adobe elements upgrade, i don't want to give more money to adobe. i switched back to pse v. 4. much happier.

i miss the diner. i want breakfast. my paid workday doesn't start for another 1/2 hour.

i want a hot breakfast.

am i asking too much out of life? lol.
hot breakfast, snow free bus stops, Dreamweaver8 - ftps.

Hokey-Pokey Wednesday - put 'em in, take 'em out, shake 'em all about

Meh, complaint: looking for a new place to live is a pain in the tailfin! >:(

I'm going to end up shoving a huge pile of cash on my prepaid VISA and going to an extended stay residence at this rate. Expensive but I can do it and still have deposit + rent money, so it's not as bad as it could be. Because of the tech companies and the University, there are a lot of inexpensive hotels/extended stay places in and around town.

I'll probably sneak a backpack full of goodies into the office and store 'em under my desk.. all my critical paperwork, elctronics, and the like. They're plenty safe here! :)

Back to emailing out inquiries.. sigh. :blank: Gonna need a beer by the time I get home.. :blank:

We are so lucky to live in the perfect place for us. Hopes you find your perfect place as well :)

Thanks! I'm going to take my time and find a good long-term place to live this time around. :)

It's quite cold the wind it blows
And I have frozen off my nose
I'm shaking right down to my toes
It's even coming through my clothes!

Snow is white and sometimes wet
And there's lots more of it yet
We'll shovel tons, I surely bet
I've hot cocoa, so I'm set!

Hello everyone! I'm up earlier today. I have a hair cut appointment this afternoon. And maybe I'll visit my mom and sister while I'm out in that direction afterwards. At least the sun is shining today. But late tonight, snow begins again. Looks like 2 to 4 inches down here, less north, and probably nothing new for New Hampshire and those states up there. And I saw another storm on Sunday. We do our tax return on Saturday...but I have a feeling we'll owe big time, even though I haven't worked at all this year.

Summarized quick replies:

Rezca: Injuries to forehead and scalp bleed like dickens, look really horrible; this is because there's lots of blood vessels in that area. Internal injuries are the worst, though. So good that y'all were there for the guy.

I keep wasting energy trying to reason with a person who I already know is far too stubborn to ever acknowledge they might be wrong.

What is wrong with me, why don't I just go look at pictures of kittens.

Why.
