Meh no wind on the bay today, glassy seas, two knots on the way out and 6 on the way in. If the local lake wasn't silted up we would have done better there  86 F again, those are my complaints.

i'm trying to decide on my content creator job hours. my day job hours are technically 8:30 to 4:30.

    but ... it's saturday.
but but, my content creator job is supposed to be semi-retirement. i think 10:00 to 15:00 would be better. a nice 5 hour work day with a coffee break. don't wanna burn-out. lol

maybe first day on the job i should pull a double shift.

any other job i would write up a statement of work. and a service level agreement.

i should move all my half done projects to nearline storage and start fresh.

okay. alright. so. hmm. skipping employee orientation. where to start? coffee. :)

okay. again. hmmm. i don't need a name tag. no car, don't need an assigned parking space.

    w9?

    oh, okay. starting point -
lessee, my top favorite sets in the store ---
can't explain it, i luv the Summer Siesta.
    and Mediterranean Patio
    picking 2 more --
    Fairytale Cottage
    Ole Bakery

    favorite game art --
    FFVIII - FFXII
    Baldur's Gate
    Star Ocean 2nd Story

tumbling all that around for a mental image
absorbing mental image of baby Gary Busey lol :0

Wages have been going down for 3D artists for a while now, can basically hire two modellers for what one cost a decade ago here.

It's harsh. Dreamworks is laying off, and Rythym and Hues filed for bankruptcy. Now is a crappy time to be a VFX artist, it seems. Lots of VFX houses will stellar talent have gone under in the past few years..

And I suspect it's going to get worse...

Saturday morning and a balmy 42f here.. shoulld warm up to around 70f in the late afternoon.

Super sunny and bright, though, even if it's nippy! :)

Tons of running around to go, things to pack and ship, things to take to Goodwill, maybe sell a thing or two.. then home for beer, salami and extra-shart cheddar!

Tomorrow is official INTASLL STUFF DAY - going to install all the content I bought last week, re-install all my DIgital Carvers Guild Carrara plugins, install some software development tools, then just actually rest up for next week when I finish emptying this place and prepare to move! :bug:

I'm definitely ready for a few weeks of drama-free living so I can focus on my arts. Urgh.

Reminds me, gotta check my DeviantArt account and make sure it's still active... meh..

I think the controller for the Playstation 4 comes with a touch pad. Also, the console has a powerful processor. That is all that I have heard.

I tried to send an email from a webmail service but I don't think the site sent the message. I don't think the site saved my draft either. Looks like I need to switch webmail providers.

I don't have one. I tried a couple of years ago and it told me that there was already a DanaTA there. Someone stole my username! I am DanaTA everywhere, and have been since I first started getting on forums...around 1995 or 1996, when I joined the forum at UniversalThread.com, which at the time was a Visual FoxPro forum. The only exception is my own site, which doesn't have a forum...there I'm just Dana.

Not this Camden, I think http://www.camden.gov.uk/

...for me the borough in London seems more preferable to a corporate managed apartment community in Florida.

Been to Florida, didn't feel there was anything special about it. Flat, hot & humid a good part of the year, bugs, gators, obnoxious tourists, hurricanes, bad motorists...

if only i could make like 2grand a month making content. then i could semi-retire

    Nice looking place, there! :)

Lunch today was DEAD FISH ON A BUN - fried catfish sub with fries. Very very yummy! :cheese: But I'm stuffed and sleepy now.. snzzz...

It's DEAD FISH ON A BUN
    It's hotter than the Sun!
The freaking thing is oh so big
    I almost had to run!

Thar DEAD FISH ON A BUN
You can't eat more than one!
Chow right down with crunching sound
    The nomming is so fun!

    :)

...one of the Milwaukee traditions I miss are the Friday All you can eat DEAD FISH FRYs.

Lovely breaded pan fish fillets served with piles of fries. Out here Salmon is the big thing and I can't eat salmon. Midwest game fish like perch, walleye, and lake sturgeon are also very expensive here as they have to be "imported".

The other thing I miss is smoked whitefish chubs. There's a pseudo-kosher deli here in the trendy NW district that charges something like 11$ of a single fish. Back home you could get two or three for that.

Don't get me wrong, I like snow, but I couldn't take weeks of it, I do like to see a bit of colour sometimes.

Then you take food colouring and paint the snow ;)

My metal picture of Finland during the winter has just changed radically!

I thought wolverines and arctic foxes provided plenty of colouration?
24 different words for "white"... and umpteen for "snow"? ... or is that the Icelanders?

I suppose you could nom the snow afterwards, after colouring it (`.`)>... *speaking as somebody who is about to go out shopping in 37degC ~_~...*
    ...just avoid the yellow variety.
