Today I finally see something I want in the DAZ Store, an expansion fro Serpent Goddess.

I go, order it, get the Paypal confirmation and the Daz confirmation, but.. "Payment review"!

    WTF! :snake: :snake:

Trouble ticket in, but now I recall why I don't buy Daz stuff any more. :blank: :blank:

    That's today's complaint.

it's easier with the visa gift cards. helps stay in a budget, but there is an activation fee.

...well, after about thirty minutes and one mile of walking around to find a telephone box and then spending nearly an hour on hold, finally resolved the UC situation. Seems I wasn't given all the information I needed up front, so they restarted my claim for me and now I am back on schedule.

Received a wonderful email from one of my old client contacts that was forwarded to me by my former supervisor. Guess after 17 years, I did OK. I wish I could use her (the client rep) as a reference as she was so wonderful to work with, understanding and patient. The loss of this client was huge as moth myself and many of their people felt more like we were "family" instead of business contacts.

That more than made up for the trouble I dealt with earlier this morning.

Morning. Quiet and warm under a big bright blue sky that seems to roll in forever outside my window and still, as if the world was holding its breath z:)

...cloudy much of the day but there were times the sun peeked out. Not bad, nice and mild for this time of year.

Glad to hear some positivity happening in the lives of KK and Miss Wolf (and any others who happen to be lurking) (^_^)d. Now all we need is for Misty to win her lottery, and Teh Wooly to get his Serpent Goddess (^/\^).

PS @KK: have you asked Ms Client-rep whether she'd be willing to be a referee for you? it sounds like she'd be willing to put in a good word for you, if the need arose... ?

    ...OK another Kid drop here.

Played around with UE a bit tonight. Decided to see just what my beast could do so cranked up the Occlusion Sample rate to 512 (as high as it would go), Ray Distance to 500, and render ray trace depth to 4.

1 UE light as the Primary source with soft shadows
1 UE light as the Ambient with no shadows
1 Spotlight Helper with ray traced shadows at 25% softness
2 Linear Point lights with ray traced shadows at 15% softness

...total render time: 4 min 2 seconds.

    Looks real good KK :)
