    Ken OBanion "Friday Night at the Drive-In" - never been to a drive-in, I guess they're trying the "cheap seats"?

    Thanks, Melanie!

    The drive-in theater (or would that be 'theatre'?) was a uniquely American phenomenon (well, there are still a handful of them in Canada), so it doesn't surprise that you've never been to one.

    The scene harkens back to the hey-day of the drive-in, in the Fifties and early Sixties. Originally, admission was priced by the car-load. Then, they started moving toward a price-per-person. The scene depicts an old high-school prank, when the kids would go to the local drive-in for their Friday-night date night (it was the make-out spot of choice for high-schoolers from coast to coast - dark, secluded, sodas and munchies a short stroll away); since the drive-in charged by the person, the more adventurous would load a couple of friends into the trunk (boot) of the car, and let them out once they were inside, and away from the prying eyes of the staff and management.

    There was a similar vignette in the movie American Grafitti (I think - I dimly recall it, although I never actually saw the film in its entirety; can't stand Ron Howard, and to me, the Fifties were the most boring decade in the history of boredom!), thus the 'Apologies to George Lucas' (he directed it).

    And for my fourth pull:
    952 = The King's Pass (again!)
    425 = Aredhel (Elf) Hair
    100 = Multiplane Cyclorama
    594 = MachPack (shaders)

    I couldn't initially work out how to fit the Cyclorama and the King's Pass together as they are at vastly different scales, but then I discovered an Ancient Egyptian Cyclorama texture in my Runtime, which gave me this idea ...

    Title: Mission Impossible
    This one is great. You made wonderful use of your pulled items and added the perfect accessories. It looks like you found some great free stuff to complement your theme, too. It is definitely on my short list for "best". I can even imagine that it is even true - anything for the tourist buck! Have you been to the Museum of Antiquities in Cairo? It is an awesome place. I was there in 2002. You have captured the feel of it and of the painted walls of the tombs in the Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens.

    Anyway, my revised draw is as follows:
    431 - Goth as Fashion for Victoria 3 and Stephanie 3 Petite
    729 - Drama Queen Drama
    1256 - Darkwave
    1054 - West Park Basement

    A rather weak ending, I must say....

    The Drama Queen Drama pose worked on Genesis, too - after I un-twisted his thighs! (And you just know getting him into that pose had to hurt like hell!)

    And I was actually able to get that Underground King piece of crap to work - on Genesis, letting auto-fit do all the heavy lifting. (I loaded a Michael 4 figure into DS and tried the shirt - it turned up invisible; showed up in the scene hierarchy view, but not in the viewport. And it flatly refused to render. Getting it to work in any version of Poser that I use, though, just was not going to happen! Oh, well, it's a ridiculous-looking outfit, anyway!)

    Also used:
    Fairy Goth Mother (textures for Goth as Fashion)
    Erin Hair (V3)
    Mark Hair ("Flaming" Genesis)
    Ronin Texture (with tats) for Genesis
    Pure Hair Messy (Genesis/M5)
    Lynette (V4 morphs, texture, & make-up)
    Lynette's Dark Nights

    Title: No Thanks, I'll Take the Stairs
    Victoria was starting to wonder if this April Fool's day rave was such a good idea, after all - especially if the words 'body count' might figure in the press coverage.

    "Oh, no! No way! This thing looks like it has only one trip left in it, and that's down! I saw that segment of Mythbusters! I'll take the stairs, thank you very much!"

    847 - CS Snaggletooth Caverns
    444 - Hot Tub Pergola
    1727 - Fantasy Camp III

    Thanks for the comments barbult - no, never been to Cairo (never been further east than Crete) but I used to be keen on Ancient Egyptian stuff as a kid :)
    Thanks for the info, Ken - I'd seen plenty of drive-ins on film, but not come across the one you mention, nor the cheapskate's method of entry!
    Next pull:
    282 = House of Mog Ruith - Interior
    397 = Cista Sanctus
    11 = Classic Casual for V4

    I have decided that my last entry was not challenging enough. I have, therefore, opted to select FIVE items from my ENTIRE runtime -- not just from my DAZ stuff. So, here's my Pull #4:

    4369 Rons Hydro Explosion (deviney) (DAZ)
    280 Andoria City (Magix 101) (DAZ)
    2551 Insatiable Desire (Shox-Design) for Corset Line (Nathalie_, Subgraphick) (RO)
    5315 The Fabricator (Marieah) (DAZ)
    4871 Soleil for G4 (3DSublimeProductions) (DAZ)

    I will admit to one (very small) "cheat." I will be using my Fabricator for Poser. (I own both, and the pull is technically for studio), but it's otherwise identical. I shall try to be witty and original. You all are beating the pants off me for brilliant ideas!

    Also used: V4A4 Bun Hair (3D Universe), Anais Summer (4blueyes), M4 Casual Wear Surf (Lobo75), Terradome (Colm), FR-Leonora (Freja), Jepe's Sang (Jepe), Fantasy Warrior Hair (Pretty3D), Gaia for Victoria 4 (Ravenhair), DM Mixed Fantasy (Danie, marforno), Sheer Terror (blondie9999).

    I had absolutely no inspiration for this whatsoever. Meh. The randomizer is fickle...

    ...OK have a general question.

    As we've just seen, Daz had changed the format of our order history once again. This has thrown a major spanner in the works as Taozen's History Manager no longer works to generate the spreadsheet for randomising purposes.

    I attempted to use the DIM, but for one, I notice a number of items are still not "set up" for the new Library format, and next, It results in a lot of duplicate product lines. Even filtering down to just Daz 3 and 4.5, still captures "Legacy" "StudioCF" and some "Ps" (Poser) listings. including the Daz "<3.0" filter also captures a lot of Poser listings.</p>

    As there is no simple way to capture just the product name list anymore, this means having to do a tonne of manual editing to delete all the duplicate entries line by line, a real pain if, like many of us, you have a lot of items.

    The other option is to go through page by page of the product list on the sidebar of the Content Library screen, still a tedious process and not a very good solution when updating the list for new purchases (like after March Madness).

    I think you can use the quite extensive regex search field in DIM to get what you want, combine it with a hide.
    Otherwise, no clue.

    Now after all that, Now the story (this took a bit of thought to work into the theme)...

    Title; Lost in Translation...

    While on an early spring Holiday across the pond, Emily had run out of allergy meds. Not completely familiar with the town she was at, she stopped a couple young yanks outside the hotel and inquired of them as to where the nearest "Chemist's shop" was where she could procure the medication she needed. The two lads smiled, whispered something to each other, then "very politely" pointed her in the "proper" direction.

    She remembered hearing them giggling as they quickly scampered off but thought little of it...

    ...that was until she entered the small stone shop with the the Name "Dr Brown - Chemist" on the worn sign outside. It then became all to clear (more so than the acrid air inside) that those "friendly and helpful" lads had thoroughly snookered her.

    April was annoyed because Jim seemed to have forgotten that April 1st was her birthday: in fact he'd disappeared after breakfast with never a word. But then she discovered a rather strange object in the hall. When she approached to see what it was, out popped a gift-wrapped Jim yelling "April Fool: Surprise!"

    DS-Oracle - Much shrunken and slightly wrecked!

    Another catchup:
    Ken OBanion "No Thanks, I'll Take the Stairs" - yes, I love elderly lifts too! (or rather elevators on your side of the pond)
    Luci45 "The Snookification of Nevertown" - I may be missing something here (like what is Snookification???) but it's a beautiful render, I love the misty atmosphere.
    "April Foolishness" - another lovely one, funny and pretty - her hair won't last the visit!?
    KaribousBoutique "Annual Spring Fling Gone Awry" - another beauty! I love the effects and the colours.
    Kyoto Kid "Lost in Translation" - nice idea, and so much detail! Good one.

    Thanks to Totte, KaribousBoutique and gopherus for the comments on my #'s 4&5 - my grandmother used to have labradors and they always went for water in any form. We had an alsatian (aka German Shepherd) when I was a child and when he was a puppy he used to follow Gran's dogs everywhere until the day they jumped into a beck (small river) - so did he, but the look on his face! He never jumped in again (he hated baths too).
