    The Basic Wear for G8M doesn't seem to be made very well, IMO. There usually isn't a big issue with poke through, particularly not with newer figure clothes. But these issues are not normal. Even with Smoothing and Collision, I'm still getting poke through:

    Again, that's just not normal. There seems to be an issue.

    Actually, I would have waited if it wasn't for the free Michael bundles - I only had Michael 7, and my library is definitely lacking in male clothes and hair, so getting M4, 5, and 6 free along with 8 was the hook that got me.

     

    Juan are you sure there will be clothes and hair included? Usually the characters don't have them M8 doesn't). BTW, I think V7 was included in Daz 4.9, not M7, is that normal? Or did I get it somewhere else without realizing? ????

    Slightley O.T. here: Had a laugh today, when read, as being part of the Michael8 pro bundle, Axel hair. As a german the name Axel sounds like "Achsel" , wich is the german word for an arm pit. Axel hair, so hillarious. laugh

    Agreed. The g8 make hairs, though, are so bad! The main reason I didn't take a bundle. I hope they will soon release some good hair / beard for him...

    I think his head is problematic for me. The lips are too low in his face, the head shape a bit too narrow. The expressions of his lips don't seem to match the way a jaw should move , and his smiles looks like a grimace of pain or constipation.  His mouth texture is quite glossy and in some skin textures looks discordant with his face.

    I like the hair in the pro pack, but where are the face and body morphs?

    I will be buying him, but I'm far from thrilled about the way his head looks

    The torso textures not lining up with the face textures is a problem with a lot of genesis characters unfortunately =/  Something about the face being higher resolution.

    Really torn on Michael 8, I don't use a lot of males in my renders, but to have the earlier versions for free is tempting in case along the road I decide to use guys a little more. I wonder if Daz will keep the "previous versions free" past this initial promotion?

    Agreed, and perhaps because of this his eyes seem a bit too close together. Definitely has a Travolta vibe though!

    Yeah, it appears that they're only counting Pro Bundles that were purchased as Pro Bundles. I have the previous 4 Pro Bundles going back to MIchael 4, but the M4 was part of the M4 Hero Bundle, and while I haven't  got the orange note yet, the message in my account only credits me for three Michael Pro Bundles.

    Not that it really matters at this point, since DAZ seems to have forgotten to.release the basic G8M Head, Body and Expression morph packs and I'd want to get those before M8.  And I personally think M8 looks more like a David than a Michael.

    I have all of the Michael # Pro Bundles and my on-site message says I am getting the three bundle discount, so I don't think Michael 4 counts (or the offer is capped at three bundles).

    While I own Michaels 3-7, I only have the M7 Pro Pack that counts, so my discount is pretty minimal.  Just as well, because M8 is of no interest to me.  My first impression was that he looks like a young frat bro, which is a huge turnoff and something I'll likely never need.  I'll wait for a huge discount on him later on and keep my fingers crossed for an older-looking G8M figure to release soon.  M5 will remain my favourite of the Michaels.

    I was so happy with where the G8F line was going in terms of looking a little older, so M8 feels like he's going the opposite direction and getting younger.  But I seem to always be in the minority with what I like and what the general forum consensus is.

    So even if you buy the pro bundles, morphs are a separate expense? Are later gensis figures able to use morphs that work on earlier figures? I have several from the first genesis and have not bought any genesis product since. I will likely still get the m8 pro because I get all the others for free, but just wondering if any come with morphs.

    Confirmed - the discounts for previous purchase count Michaels 5, 6, and 7, not Michael 4.

    Sorry, but the pro bundle items for m8 are just horrible and are not appealing.  Looks rushed and incomplete with no interesting items in it.  M8 looks nice though.

    Masterstroke, though Alex is more common, Axel (for Alexander) is a real German name. But you are right - Axel really sounds like Achsel, that's why I dislike this name. The best laugh today for me was Zander. Zander in German is a very tasty - fish!  laugh

    Bought and downloading now... *taps fingers impatiently* smiley

    Very glad Daz has released M8 closer to V8 than usual. I'm usually not interested in working with a new generation until there's a family of figures, so to speak.

    Also delighted that the promotional discount also applied to what I consider to be essentials like the morphs and even JWolf's Expressive Faces. Made it a lot easier for those to slip into my cart.
