I don't like the new Michael,I don't like how his skin looks, I don't like the characters in the pro bundle either, or the hairs or any of the clothes. So I just bought the head and body morphs to make use of the new Genesis 8.
He definitely has a younger college jock look... which would fill a hole in my library. Alas, I still can't afford to dive into supporting a new figure.
You mean TRICEPS hon. When I flex mine they can really stand out but in a relaxed pose like that... no they don't look like that at all.
And this...

+ 1!
I'm geting the pro bundle, but I don't have ANY of the other pro bundles so it's a great deal for me. I also thought he looked like John Travolta, but also like M6 who also looks like Travolta ;)
M8 M6 John Trovolta
There's a glitch in the store that's never been fixed — if you apply one of the PC+ coupons to a cartful, and it also includes free items that would otherwise qualify for the coupon, then the coupon's value will be shared among the free and non-free items. Send in a support ticket and remember to mention your order number.
Pretty much right out of the box and I like him already!
@deathbycanon You're right! I was wondering who M6 always reminded me of! M8 definitely has that look too.
No. That's not the basic set. Those are typically DAZ Original only, with no PA listed. Unless they decided to farm it out this time and list the PA instead of doing it all in-house.
I was very surprised, having not bought any M8 products, that the G8M included very good set of muscularity morphs free as well as a comprehensive set of expressions, phenomes, and posing sliders, free! G8M & G8F are definately the best Essentials yet.
Now I am glad to see that the G8M Head, Body, and Expressions have been released. I have bought them & will now install.
Also surprised that G8M free included elf ears free. I guess G8F includes all the above free too but I didn't notice as I bought the morph packages before I downloaded G8F Essentials.
I am not digging Axel hair nor the Dark Prince outift at all.
Axel Hair does not look "right" for some reason. I would have preferred a longer hair style and the other shorter one included.
With as many "bikini armor" sets out there for woman, making one for men isn't solving a problem, it's perpetuating it. Sorry.
Studio doesn't get updated. The Genesis 8 Male Essentials should be in your Products and ready to download.
Snorting with laughter at the Dark Prince get-up. The guys finally have equality with the girls in practical armor...
I do like the new Mike, but even so, Mike 6 remains my favorite Mike :P. If only he didn't have those moobs ;).

I hope they continue this trend of the "Buy the newest character and get all the earlier versions free"
I have a lot of G2 characters in my wishlist that have been in multiple generations.
Oh, I guess they won't :( Olympia is already out for G8 and there was no special like this for her
Olympia 8 did have this special offer too.
So does this mean we can expect to see all the uv map packs coming soon, and the 'make G8 have the same expression, face and body morphs as previous figures? What about the G3M to G8M pose conversion? is the pro pack just the beginning of all the landslide of what's to come?
Not sure what exactly "right" means? Many males have shorter on the sides and more volume on the top. It's definitely in-style right now. Do you just not like the combination? However, one of the things I'd want to render and check would be how spiky the sideburns are though- the one promo which shows a different angle, they look pretty sharp. (which that cut can be- I just want to see if it's distracting.)
You can do that now if you follow the directions on the G3 to G8 thread. I have all of my G3 female characters (131 of them) moved up to G8F and they work perfectly. The skins don't need to be converted at all.
@choppski Man... long time no see. Alas, no the morphs are not cross compatible without purchasing a tool for that. Are you making the leap to Studio? I was just thinking about you the other day.
@RKane_1 since I recognize that I am diplomatically impaired during Mercury retrogrades, thank you for saying this. I would have done it badly. That was a ridiculous statement.

I tried to follow it but i'm not that clever unfortunately. I have 'foggy brain' and it's hard for me to follow along when it's a written thing. I do better with videos. Besides it seemed there were 2 or 3 ppl writing different variations and it kept getting updated and/or revised so often I couldn't keep up. If someone makes a video tutorial for the process based on whoever's process is the most accurate (and easy), then I'd watch it over and over.
She did?!? Oh LOL it looks like I did get that one too
Well then, my original comment stands. I really hope they continue the trend :)
It seems that your Michael 8 discount will also apply to the Genesis 8 Male Morphs....bonus.
I kind of wish there'd been 1 short and 1 kind of long-ish hair for him. Not long and flowing like girl hair, just something above the shoulder and still currently trending. 2 short hairs is....meh.... Also, as with all the Pro packs, the extra 2 characters are mostly throw aways for me (no offense to the vendor(s) ). I only really care about the main figure, some poses and a few outfits. I'm not a fan of the one that has jeans under chaps and a leather shirt. Very odd to me. Instead of 2 extra characters with no personality, no body hair, and bland looks, I'd rather have a couple extra outfits, or even a couple addon textures for included outfits. More useful to me.
I've yet to dl and render him, but seeing how ppl are reacting makes me apprehensive now!!!
I too would very much like to see some customer renders. I'm tempted, if only to get two extra pro bundles free, even though I have bits out of both. The extra characters do seem a bit, meh and those hairs are horrid. I'm sorry, but yikes. I will never use those. I really wish the frank 'n beans was in the starter bundle, then I could just get that. sigh.
Yes, there are some very nice things included completely free with G8M, including a basic wear set that has quite a few pieces. I'm thrilled to see poses, morphs and expressions in that set too. That's great to have in the starter essentials! I don't remember this much in any of the others.
UV support is mostly native. If this is like G8F, Base Male and Michael 7 UV should work without too many issues. The other characters may need adjustment. (Elijah 7, for example, should be fine from underneath the pecs down, but from there up, the chest and shoulders probably won't look right.) I'd suggest that you ask @Redz if there was going to be a UV product for G3M-to-G8M as they did with G3F-to-G8F, but the latter product rather abruptly turned into a Daz Original, so they may not be able to say.
As for morphs, if you don't use something like Singular Bliss' script, you'll need to wait and see if anyone is able to pick up the ball on a new version of something like GenX2. With Dimension3D/Ralf Sesseler's death, it's not clear that anyone will be able to do what he did.
I've noticed that Flexion in Genesis 3/8 has a real problem in that area. As far as I can tell, it seems like what the figure is being told is that flexion happens pretty much everywhere at once, and just gets more extreme when a body part is in use. The difficulty with the arms is that the triceps never look all that huge, unless you're a bodybuilder, and when the biceps are being flexed/tightened, the triceps is being stretched, and it doesn't seem to know how to handle that automatically. The Musculature HD morphs could handle it, but you have to go in and first activate Muscle Flex Control (never at 100%, unless bodybuilder) and then specifically locate the right triceps muscles (they're all defined in the morphs for G3F/M) and dial out flexion for those muscles. Effective, but a pain in the ... triceps.
