  • I updated my version to 1.2 and it crashed out immediately after "fit control has been applied". If given the chance to test the test file, I will and respond with logs in kind. I'll test it in a single instance of daz studio and while multiple are running, to put it through it's paces. However, it will be under 4.11, as 4.12 still has many issues to sort out in basic functionality.

I'd be glad to test and provide same-day feedback. It's been over a year since I could use this on G8F, but I have not resorted to anything other than patience.

  • I been following this since suddenly last week started crashing.  I ran the program with the figure Gwyn HD figure with lingerie, and works fine. I run it with another character with same clothing and does the crash. Dont know why Gwyn figure is working?

Correct, 53397 Gwyn worked for me for some odd reason but maybe not for others.

It's so nice having Fit Control back. It works better than ever. Thanks so much for fixing it, Zev0, and letting me test it.

Is a new version of Fit Control back? I didn't find it in my DIM.

  • Zev0Zev0 Posts: 7,091

It is in QA. It is not released yet.

  • What is QA?

  • Quality assurance I suppose. So DAZ team is testing on bugs prior to release.

    surprise That's a thing?

Is there a Fit Control morph that loosens/tightens around the upper shin? I have some boots that fit too loosely.

  • Yes, QA typically means Quality assurance. However, it all depends on which version it's being tested on.

  • Does FitControl work with dForce clothes?

Version 1.3 is now live. We made it work with Studio 4.11 as well. Thank you for your patience.

I tried it quite a few times and had no issues.  It's faster than it was toward the end, as well.

Like a light switch. I press ok, then Daz just ends. Car into concrete barrier. Abrupt.

    see attached docs:

    A picture of your request.

A picture of the ok screen.

a picture of the creash window after i select 'details'.

The saved crash file in the zip file that Daz studio generated.

the unabridged log file, from daz startup, loading of the basic genesis 8 female model, basic wear and application of fit control.

I'm hoping something in here can help you determine what's causing this, beceause this is well outside my depth of knowledge.

Thanks. So it crashes after you hit ok?

  • I'm seeing exactly the same crash as Mathias. I'm running 4.12 on Windows 10.

The issue seems to be related to the set of installed g8f character morphs. If I go into data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 8\Female\Morphs and move all the folders to another directory, except DAZ 3D and Zev0, then I can successfully add the fit control morphs. I then start moving the folders back into the morphs folder in small groups. It continues to work for the first few groups of folders that I add back, but eventually it reaches a point where it starts failing again.

If I then move all the folders out again, but keep the group that caused it to start failing (and DAZ 3D and Zev0), then everything works ok. So that suggests that the problem isn't specific to those morph folders.

I guess it's either an issue with the number of morphs, or some problem with certain combination of morphs.
