Josie in action...
Very "Degas"!
I was not intended to do it this way, but your are right.
I'm just doing some more renders with other lighting effects.
YAWN!
Blast from the Past
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea
I modelled the diving bell and the mini sub the Seaview and flying sub are on ShareCG
The ocean is by FractalDimensia - see here http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/28506/
Giant octopus from CP
Post in PSE11
EddiMi, that's superb lighting and the figure has a reall sense of weight, congrats!
Stezza, that's an amazing scene, really well put together all those disparate elements really work well. I'm giving you ten stars :)
cheers from smoky Newie :)
FD's ocean really does come in handy..
A bit of rain today down this way to go with the ashes and smoke... ;-)
Not quite Mr Batty!
Homage to Mr H.
YAY! Great stuff!
Stu - both great images and the lighting on both looks incredible!
Amazing stuff, Stu! Love that Cyclops especially! He was always one of my favorite monsters as I was growing up. A place in Green Bay when I was a kid, had a giant paper mache likeness of his head (the one from Sinbad) on display. The place was a costume/novelties store named "Spooky's" which was one of my favorite stores of all time! That's where my brother and I always got our vampire fangs from.
Later, during my high school years, I became a minimum wage monster make-up artist and lead monster actor at our local, year-round amusement park's haunted mansion. I even got to host "Tales from the Dark Side" on our local TV station as my persona character: "Zekiel Raven - Lord of the Dark", converted to "Zekiel Raven - Lord of the Macabre" for the show :)
I still have my custom Hollywood fangs (made specifically for my teeth) from those days. What a blast, indeed!
That all sounds like fun D!
I just discovered they are showing Tales from the Dark Side " on a horror channel I never knew I had ! But its unwatchable cos its all fuzzy.
I'm pre-ambling up to do a more realistic Cyclops+ dragon, still sought of from the movie but my usual take on it.They were both such great designs.
And ta for the "likes" folks.
Oh yeah...I only just realized there are TWO cyclops/ cyclopses(?) in the movie.I dont think I have watched it in its entirety for about 40 years!!!!!.
Stu,
Your artistic skill and great imagination amaze and inspire me. :gulp:
Two at the beach.
BUT: this negative AO below the deck chair is annoying me. It disappears when I switch off the Indirect Light or the Sun Light or PhilW's Tropical Sea Prop
Another render, playing with caustic and transparent shaders.
Really nice.
If you want to simulate a prismatic look, duplicate your main light three times and make sure they stay in exactly the same position. Now, change one light to blue, one to red and one to green. If your light is set to 100% intensity, then set each light to 33%. If it's brighter or dimmer, set each one to a third of the desired output. The light is cumulative.
The RGB value of the combined light will give a white light, but the caustics will break the component colors apart similar to a prism. Please note, that it won't be real world accurate as the geometry the light passes through has no volume and isn't bent realistically, but it's a cool approximation and a nifty little trick.
That IS a cool trick. And I really like the render. Looks really cool.
Evilproducer and Dartanbeck, thank you.
Evil: Yes I will have to try that.
it's not a cake :vampire:

Feel shy posting with the great renders here, but this is a character study for a comic I'm working on. Carrara and photoshop with filters.
That looks great! A really nice character study. I don't think you have anything to feel shy about.
Thank you, Evilproducer. I appreciate the comment.

Hey Cbird,
Don`t need to be shy for posting this, it is amazing and i love the render.
Who done it?
we don't do halloween where we are.. apart from maybe some kids may venture around the streets for a hour or so but that's it
so the closest thing for me is to do a render :-)
Hey - that's on the way to fine art! Keep on!
Double Post - deleted by user :-)
Happy Halloween!
I know it's not night, or even late fall, but I still think it looks a bit eerie.
Yeah, it looks eerie alright. But even more so, it looks freaking excellent! Yikes almighty!
Just freaking cool!
Also, the other Halloween images above are really nice too! Thanks to you all for making Halloween renders for us. Love it!
super feel to it
