Han Solo
Looks great, tkdrobert.
Only that wrinkles on his right elbow (on the left side of your image) looks strange to me.
Yeah I tried to fox that in PW, but couldn't come up with a good solution.
Luke Skywalker
Wow, tkdrobert, very, very nice.
Thanks. I think Han turned out better.
Wow. That is a very nice likeness. I like the painterly style you adopted on this one. Good lighting, the hair is very solid, and I like the wrinkled shirt. It adds to his whole "scruffy looking nerfherder" vibe.
I like the way the trail behind the ship adds to the background by brining in some much-needed lightness. It works well with the corner planet. VERY nice job!
Thanks, the hair was the hardest part. I had to place that manually. Luckly, I had hair that was very close if not spot on to Han. Same deal with Luke.
A couple of frames for a comic concept I'm trying to get nailed down.
A certain detail of the poster should date when this takes place.
Rebel Scum. A redo of an older render. The original was an attempt at realistic, but this one I went with a painted look.
I'm thirsty for more of that good Star Wars stuff you're doing.
Glad you are enjoying them. I have to do my Holiday card, then I have another Star Wars idea.
Good job. Nice painterly effects. Needs a bit more light, though.
I bought a new monitor. I may need to adjust it, because I brightened this image up in post-work. If you compare this version to the original, I think it came out way better.
I think that must be the case. The guys in the background look really dim, which is odd for your work.
And... new monitor, eh? Christmas come early?
Yeah pretty much. I've been needing a new monitor for some time. On a visit to Sam's Club, my wife blessed it, so I got it. Bigger than my old one and it's curved. I haven't calibrated it yet.
Princess Leia. There were some flaws with the model that I tried to fix in PS but I wasn't able to fix them all. I did my best. It turned out pretty good I think.
Very nice work... Stan Lee & Jack Kirby would love this...
Impressive work my friend...
Thanks @kenmo
Yes, Leia looks great and I can easily recognize her. Well done.
Jyn Erso
We Are One with the Force
Kanan Jarrus. Not the best model. But I did the best I could with it.
I was really happy with how this turned out, even if it isn't Star Wars or comic art! Freely ignore if it doesn't suit this thread :-)
Of course your work is welcome here! Thank you very much for sharing it with us. All aspects of NPR work are welcomed and embraced here. While it is true that right now Some of the more active members are focused on comic book style art work, that is certainly not the focus of this thread. Like you, I think the illustration you provided is very attractive. There is a nice painterly quality to it. I am looking forward to seeing more work from you soon.
Nice work. Looks very artistic. Any NPR is welcome in this thread.
This afternoon I participated in an online workshop for storytelling and it was noted that there were some legibility issues with the text on my original page. I also took some advice to add some "haze" to the horizon and lighten it up a bit. Here are the before and after images, and I would really appreciate comments from this group.

I think, you nailed it - the new version looks great.
The upper text is much more readable, than on the previous version.
I also like your choice of the frame for it.
