Well I see that you have a sort of different grasp regarding length of summer than I do. ;)

Over here, it is indeed mid-summer.

I'm just saying what is official, today is the first day of Summer...the Summer Solstice. If you consider Spring and Summer to be Summer, then yes, it's the middle in that sense.

Dude. You do not live in Finland or Scandinavia.

Your definition of "summer" is not the same as ours; using astronomical definition of summer (Summer Solstice) would be useless to us.

This is because of things called "climate", "latitude" and "geography". Our summer is defined according to meteorological basis.

I am not saying that calling this as the first day of summer is incorrect for you. I'm saying, your definition of "summer" is wrong for us.

When Spring Equinox hits us, we're still wading up to our armpits in snow and freezing our asses off. Most of the time, snow does not go away 'till the first week of May.

Our spring is most often mid-April to May, excluding the northmost areas where the snow lingers 'till early June.

Our summer is from June to late August, if we're lucky.

So yes, today is midsummer for us Finns.

Bought "Power Barbarian" for M4, he'll make a good Olaf. Maybe some giant fish-and-Viking renders this weekend!

Lunch time soon, catfish sandwich, I think. Or a BURGER MADE WITH CHEESE! (happy face)

Hot hot hottttt, supposed to hit 100f or hotter. Argh! Melting time...

if you don't have a kitchen at home, there's lots you can cook in a crockpot. throw some chopmeat and seasoning packets. throw in potatoes.

I don't think it is a good idea to heat up your home with long-cooking-required dish. :) That's why deep-frying was invented -- a flash in a pan and it is done. I agree, there ARE days when it is for the best to just throw your hands up and say "that's it, take-out tonight".

That image seems to be Egyptian. I don't know what they call them, but those weapons are called Sai, a traditional Okinawan martial arts weapon. They didn't originate there, however. They were already in use in various Asian countries, China among them. It's possible that the first were used in Indonesia.

Hmm that chart doesn't include the sandworms (And the much larger Abyss Worms) from Final Fantasy II and I respectively. Abyss Worms were big very big @_@

I didn't like the desert region in Final Fantasy II. I always rode over it via Chocobo to avoid the monsters there. They were nasty.

Still, regardless of what book/game/story/whatever [insert species of super-ultra-giant creature here] show up in... I'm not a fan of supermassive things unless they are celestial objects e3e

*Edit to add* Oh yeah, they skipped out on Twinmold and its variants from the Legend of Zelda series (Wind Waker and Majora's Mask I believe)

91f outside already, and it's just 1:15PM. We might break 100f today! (melting face)

Typical Texas heat. I'm kind of almost sort of used to it now. Kind of.

3-1/2 hours until I can escape, wheeee! Very quiet this afternoon at work, for which I'm thankful.

Vicky 6.. hmmph. Tons of controversy. I'm spending my money on Genesis 1 morphs!

Time to drink water and desperately attempt to stay awake... snzzz...

45 more minutes and it's time to run off and party! Wheeeeeee!!

I think chicken wings and nachos for dinner, maybe some bacon-wrapped shrimp!

It's a fun place to hang out, called bikinis because the waitresses all wear bikini tops. Right on Sixth Street, so I can watch the people stagger by!

Affordable cab ride home, too - can't beat that. (cool smile)
