observation about my old computer: i can play most games if i turn off the advance features (ambient occlusion, speculuar lighting, advance shaders, sun shafts, reflections). particles don't seem to slow down my video card. guess the physics for the particles aren't GPU intensive like the other lighting effects.

complaint: in some games, I can't turn off the advance lighting effects. grr.

    uhh.. nothing else is new.

"particles" would be sprite (2D) based and not CPU intensive in many games

Had to give up on this, was $16 - something when I started, was only trying to encourage innovation so don't feel like I'm missing out *laughing a lot*

Merry Solstice! longest day / shortest day.

    -11C sounds awfully cold.

no shortcuts going thru the core on our planet. :)

it's too early for a midnight snack, waiting on some vanilla yogurt. i wanna eat it now, but then i'll have none for a midnight snack. it gets so complicated.

The games I've been playing recently - with the exception of Civilization IV - are all pretty darn old, and most can even be played without lag while Indigo is hogging my system's resources :)

Hooray for Heroes of Might and Magic II and III playing flawlessly with (According to FRAPS, more than 50 fps) the system's available resources being tiny xD

True I *can* play CivIV while C4D and Indigo are being resource greedy, but it lags a ton :)

I love the name wraith but I am not sure what they look like.

I think you've asked that before. I remember it and the largely LotR based responses that followed :)
Or was it Misty? I know someone did... I'd be pretty embarrassed if I was wrong and it was Misty XD Well it was so long ago, I can't remember.

Nevertheless, I shall give the same response I did last time so long ago.

This is what Wraiths look like.

way back i posted a banner "say no to wraiths" :)

To get the V4 UV maps you need V4 for Genesis 2 Female. Once you have that you should be able to change the UV map.

I thought she was talking about Genesis 1. You don't need anything extra for that, I don't have the V4 or M4 Shapes for Genesis, but I've used the gen 4 UV maps.

Wow, you have to buy things to get what came in Genesis 1 for no extra?

I hope the headaches go away!

Autumn is a nice time of year if you live where the foliage actually changes color. It does here in New England and it's beautiful.

Hey, don't rush it. It's not midsummer, it's the first day of summer!

Well I see that you have a sort of different grasp regarding length of summer than I do. ;)

Over here, it is indeed mid-summer.

Whereas over here, in my neck of woods, we get a whopping 19 hours and 53 minutes of it! No true night, either!
