Good news at the foot doctor. He excised the blister and part of an adjoining callus. No blood!
Just some antibiotic cream and a bandage. He said I'd been doing exactly what I should have, and to come back in a week. Yayz!
    (breathes deep sigh of relief)

    Great news!

    Today I learned:

    Snakes can fart.

    LOUDLY.

Some fish fart as well - corydoras catfish live in low-oxygen water and will hit the surface and swallow an air bubble, which they somehow take the oxygen from.. then fart it out.

First time I saw my corydoras fart, I called the fish store in a panic! Very educational.

Now that's just funny. Who ever thought a fish farts

Chill, duuuude. Plants have breathed it in and then exhaled that sweet oxygen out. Just that... yeah, it came at one point out of a dino's butt. ;)

    Page 99.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard. We have only one more page until the Complaint Thread splits. Please turn your attention to the Complaint Thread attendant nearest you for our safety demonstration. Please follow along with the safety card located in the seat pocket in front of you.

Please make sure your seatbelt is securely fastened at this time. To fasten, insert the loose metal buckle into the holder. Tighten so it fits firmly around your waist. To fasten, pull the loose belt. Also, make sure all carry-on items are stored in the overhead bins, or under the seat in front of you.

There are emergency exits on this Thread: in the front, back, and one located on the right side. Each exit is equipped with a safety slide that can be detached and used as a flotation device. Please take this time to locate your nearest exit. Keep in mind that it may be behind you. If visibility is reduced, lighted strips along the floor of the Complaint Thread will lead you to the nearest exit. Remember, red lights mark an exit.

In case there is a loss in Thread pressure while splitting, yellow oxygen masks will deploy from the ceiling compartment located above you. To secure, pull the mask towards you, secure the elastic strap to your head, and fasten it so it covers your mouth and nose. Breathe normally. Even if the bag does not inflate, please keep in mind that oxygen is flowing. Please make sure to secure your own mask before assisting others.

In case of a water landing, life jackets are located under your seat. To fasten, place the vest over your head and secure both straps around your waist. To inflate, pull the red handle, or manually inflate by blowing into the red tube. Remember, NEVER inflate the vest inside of the Complaint Thread. Also, a beacon light will activate upon entering water.

Please make sure you have read the safety card for this Thread split. As we come through the old Thread to perform our final safety checks, please make sure your seatbelt is fastened, your seat back and tray tables are in their full upright and locked position, and all carry on items are stored properly.

Thank you for your attention, and we wish you a comfortable transition to the new Complaint Thread.

That's why I panicked - since when do fish fart?!?!?! The things you learn keeping exotic pets...

Complaint: I want to go home but I need the money so I'm trapped here for another couple of hours. Argh.

And because this is the internetz, the cat piccy is obligatory. This was taken on this Tuesday, with Orcus sitting on the driveway as we were preparing to leave to the store with my mother-in-law, and Orcus is pondering if he should move his ass out of the way or not.

He did not, and therefore, SO had to do some careful driving around him as he refused to move even his tail.

Usually between 5 pm and 7 pm, although this may depend on where you live.

    Dinner is food.

My writing app on my tablet is refusing to update, but I cannot use it until it updates. Maybe it is because I am in a busy library and lots of people are using the computers and wifi.

I complained and it updated. WTF?
