Mades the silly renders - tee hee
Victoria 1! faemate texture. in the barnyard. nice lightset. and couple tiki motifs
Xinxin lost her contact lens
biguana wans her biguan-O. (i saved the file before render, pp12, my careful hairs styling disappeared. meh)
Imperial squirrel. - posted it in the how to conquer a planet thread
what happens to your imperial flag if you fixture it outside your autogyro in space? i imagine it won't flutter, but will it freeze into a brittle solid and break?
iz a handsome! :)
oh mann. real life tiki party so much better than render pretend.
We get texts about weather too, never quite sure what to do. Run away? Hide? Have a BBQ? Thought it was just an Aussie thing, like sheep weather alerts heh :o)
modem woes is all better nao?
Yeah except with all the drama forgot to charge mobi and tablet so had a quiet morning today :>D
Real nice lukewarm day so far here :o)
Hey cool :o)

Yeah... his ghost lives on... at least while the forums are still functional (v_v).
Thanks for all the compliments X3
And ooh Misty's biguana is gonna eat that cake if you take your eye off it :O
Hmmph... Left this rendering overnight (Eight hours rendering) and I notice the DoF is off ><
Was too hard to tell early on D:
With the camera so dang close to the object and the objects pretty small (I didn't scale them up much) the blur is so extreme. The camera focal length and stuff is affecting it too... I don't understand physical DoF much ^^; Was so easy in Cinema's native render (And slightly less so in Vue's) where it was just a "Start around here, end around there..." sort of setup and was just an estimated calculation you had control of. Indigo... Doesn't give you that freedom. Everything is dependant on how big the scene is (Is it milimeters or is it meters, etc) and what you do with the camera. Beyond that, you don't have any say in the matter *derp*
Sigh. Anyway. Adding in Exit Portals this time (Which being an interior I should have done in the first place) and am re-rendering. Also changing the camera a bit to try and lessen the DoF. Don't get me wrong, I love DoF but things are out of focus that I don't want to be out of focus :B
With EP's in. Two minutes of rendering each.
Plenty faster so far, but it's still hard to tell what the DoF is gonna be like. I want it's head and most if not all of the chest and abdomen to be in focus :B
The problem is how close the camera is to the critter....
Changed it to a telephoto lens and stuff... Had to change the angle too since the desktop got in the way of the camera *shrugs*
DoF still seems a tad extreme. Oh well, at least the head is in focus now ^^
Changed the camera tonemapping from FC250CD to dscs315
Ahh... Well technically is a small bonsai plant with an even smaller toy next to it, so the extreme blur is to be expected I guess

will try to think of more Xinxin render ideas. hmmmmm
If you have a smartphone there is a free Kodak app with a DOF calculator, is quite easy with that to see the relationship between lens focal length and lens aperture f-stop, and to calculate the depth of field for any arbitrary lens focal length and f-stop settings :o)

Nah, I don't have a smartphone. My phone failed out of 1st grade - it's hardly smart :P
Bad joke aside, the other thing that Indigo takes into account when calculating DoF is the scene scale. I have it set to cm right now. Changing it to mm completely blurred the entire image, and I'm going to try meters in a moment.
*edit* Meh. Meters (As is) completely removed the DoF :<
*Edit 2* I also noticed that the scene scale affects the bump strength. I have it set to 0.014 right here, and in the centimeter scale scene it's pretty strong, but in the meter scale scene it's almost non-existent.
As much as I don't want to, I'm re-rendering it right now. Under a meter scale so there's no DoF this time (*sobs*) but still. I had to increase the bump scale by an entire decimal point, and it looks nice actually.
Hmm~ I has too much freetime on meh hands if I'm really okay with 1hr+ "test renders' XD
Leaping lizards! (big grin)
Complaints: today is Official Boring Test Day. I'm sitting around watching timers count, making sure they're accurate. This involves tweaking a bit of hardware, then waiting up to 90 minutes to make sure it does The Right Thing(tm). Dull but important.
Non-complaint: a beautiful day outside, going to get hot but not insanely hot. (smile)
as much fun as waiting for a 90 minute render?
trying out some IDL renders, dang it takes a while

Yeah, about the same as waiting for a long render.. at least I can surf the Web while I wait!
IDL does add a decent amount of time.. sigh.
Tried sushi for the first time in my life today. It's quite good =3
Oohhhh, DEAD FISH IN A TRAY!!! (huge grin)
I love sushi, I could eat it every day! Glad you enjoyed it, welcome to the world of sushi!!!
you are not gonna believe this. ---- my Aiko3 doesn't have a bikini. a plain old bikini.
she's wearing one in the Pazu promo.
mkay after two and a half hours of rendering (I'm gonna let it sit just a little longer though) I paused it to save the image.
I've picked three different camera models and saved the image using each of them - I put the name of the Response Function used in the corner. I dunno which one I like best o3o
