We are changing the Platinum Club and we want you to join. Yes you, fellow forumite. Why do we want you in the Platinum Club? Because we want you to save money. For the next two days only, all Platinum Club members will receive 30% off of the entire store. This includes PA items, $1.99, and $2.99 products. (See attached image for exclusions; they're there down at the bottom).

Did I mention we are making changes to the Platinum Club? Well, we are. You can now pay for a PC membership through Credit Card, Debit Card, Gift Card (or store credit), or PayPal. Did I mention that we have waived the $29.95 start up fee? Well, we have. This makes joining the Platinum Club more affordable than ever. A 3 month membership is available for $24 and an anual membership is available for $70. Once you’re a member you can then go into your PC Dashboard and change your future billing options to monthly, quarterly, or annual.

Check out our brand new Platinum Club page to see all the awesome benefits of being a Platinum Club Member: http://www.daz3d.com/platinum-club/

What are the limitations, restrictions, and expiration on the $6 monthly coupon?

The coupon must be used on a DAZ Original excluding items in the "Platinum Club" category as well as gift certificates. The coupon is good for the month. This means that the new code is released on the first of the month (the coupon codes follow a pretty standard formula and aren't difficult to predict) and it expires at midnight Mountain Time on the last day of the month. If you were to sign up today you could still use July's coupon (as long as you do so before midnight Mountain Time on the 31st)

You can only purchase DAZ-O content, it expires each month and it's single use only. Hope that helps :)

    Heh, ninja'd ;)

and what happens after 12 months?

do I get slugged the full $99 like I was this year or has it been fixed?

charging $99 to continue my membership and then offering $30 in store credit is not acceptable to me.

I guess this means it's valid on a Daz Original New Releases.

Since new releases are already discounted, does the item have to exceed $6 for the coupon to work, or would a $5.99 be valid?

The whole subscription module has been rewritten from the ground up - so this scenario should, in theory, be a thing of the past :)

I believe it would be valid.. Though I would need to clarify that to be 100% sure

You can use the coupon regardless of amount. So if you use it on a $4 order, you essentially gave up $2. In that case, you would be losing out on a penny.

    Monthly Billing Option

Want lower, monthly payments instead of annual or quarterly? After your first 3 month billing cycle you can change to monthly billing from the My Account section. http://www.daz3d.com/platinum-club

This seems to imply that when you join the PC you cannot cancel for the first 3 months.
If that is the case then that needs to be included on the Platinum Club Quarterly Membership store page and the platinum club information page.

Most of the information in the notes section on the Platinum Club Quarterly Membership store page needs to be rewritten as it refers to the old PC terms and conditions, probably should have been changed before the new terms went live.

Also when signing up for the Platinum Club customers are entering into a financial contract with DAZ so the Full terms and condition should be available on the Platinum Club Membership store pages and the platinum club information page.

Just thought I'd mention it, thanks

Thanks, when the dust settles today we'll get with the team and discuss it.

    Cheers :)

When i joined the PC almost a year ago, i really enjoyed coupies on the first monthes... now i really hate them since the choice of the eligible items is too limited to my taste

I know it's a point frequently discussed by older PC members and you, DAZ People, really have to find something about it

This morning, as i was discovering the revamped PC, i foolishly wished the coupies limitation has fallen... still wishing so far...

I agree, and it's something which we will revisit.. It's a complex situation, and there are a lot of variables.. But we'll definitely persevere to improve it if we can. :)

Just out of curiosity, between the 30% off on DOs that current PC members get all the time, and this 30% storewide sale, shouldn't there be a stacking discount on DO items?

I was a little bit excited to see PayPal as a payment option, but then was disappointed when BillMeLater was an available PayPal payment option. >:-(

it doesn't have to be a new release, just a non-PC Daz Original

Not only new DOs, coupon should work on old DOs as well.
    Unless this have been changed?..

    I have a question.

Does the merge of regular PC and Value category means that older items (i.e. released before this stupid Value thing was implemented) will be retroactively put into Value price without notice?

And turn the majority of the PC into 2.99 items? no.. if anything, it will only be some of the recent releases which we haven't moved into the VC yet.

    Hope that clarifies it :)

Yes, this is what I am afraid of. I make no secret that I don't like Value Gamble but at least it only affects new releases since it was implemented. it would be many times worse if older PC items were quietly dropped into Value price.

if anything, it will only be some of the recent releases which we haven't moved into the VC yet.
So it is purely browser-organizational thing and the price for older PC items will not be changed, correct?

Which means we're still playing guess-the-future-price and buy-it-quick-before-the price-goes-up. The only change is that instead of value items being moved out of the PC category when they become value items, they are just going to leave them all in PC category.

Is DAZ going to rewrite the terms of PC to reflect that not all items listed in PC category will remain at he promised PC price of $1.99? I thought the whole point of a separate category for value items that they were value items when their price went up and could no longer be classed as PC items.

Lumping everything together in one category is easier for the web people but it does somewhat change the terms of PC does it not? Or is there an added clause that not all items in PC category are PC items and will not retain their PC standing?

Jared, 30% off PA items for PC members doesn't stack with existing PA sales (on older items, not new releases). Because there is nothing in PC promotion that says it won't stack, I think it is an error and they should stack.
