that was one scary day yesterday!
was like the apocalypse had arrived .. day turned into night!
the fire here created it's own weather system with thunder and even a bit of rain, amazing!
here's a selfie of moi.. taken at 4pm in the afternoon when it went dark.. it doesn't get dark till 8pm!
it was very eerie and scary but we are safe.. didn't get any renders done though!

Glad to hear your safe. Your story about the dark reminds me of our Houston experience with Hurricane Harvey a couple of years ago. Many areas got four FEET or more rain in about four days. We all watched the radar continuously to see where the next "rain band" would hit, and were awake for most of the four days. My wife finally fell asleep, then later woke up and said, "Wow, its really getting dark again!" (this was when the serious rain happened). I said , "Yeah, it does that when the sun goes down." She thought it was morning ... but the worst was over.

Truly apocalyptic. So sad. It's sweeping through so fast with waves of enormous (Enormous) walls of flame, casting embers into the sky that rain down in random parts of a city to completely destroy whatever it touches - only to grow and cast more embers, more fires, impossible heat, smoke-blackened skies, and no rain in sight. Thousands (Thousands) of volunteer fire fighters are exhausted as they push on.
