Did this just to see how well it would play with regular skin presets. Obviously they don't work on the joints, but if you play around and find a nice diffuse color to blend them, it works well.

Vyla, PH Catwalk, Pale Shadows (dress/gloves), Perfect Shoes & Stockings (stockings), Asobi's Outfit (shoes), Just Jokin' (stage), Wicked Nets (ripped netting transmap (rendo)), Sculptural Genesis (pose). Single diffuse for the shadow and AoA Ambient. Tonal adjustment in PS/Niktools.

Genesis 1 version rendered in the beta.

OMG. That's pretty cool. I just had to say so. Because I just got a G.I.Joe flashback when I saw it.

Wow, you guys, these are looking awesome. :). I see we made the right decision separating out the joint pinch morph.

I have one of those old Joes that was my Dad's. It's worth nothing - beat up, missing accessories - but I was always impressed by how much better he bent than my Barbies.

I'm so glad everyone's enjoying them! :) Here is one I made; I've been thinking of doing something like this since we started but never quite found time.

i'm just about to buy it - was jumping up and down in excitement when I saw it - and wanted to check on one thing.....will it take Genesis skin textures? As in, I can apply say, a V5 texture to it?

It isn't a figure, it's a character for g1 or g2f. Both have the v5 uv. You'll have to retint the joints to match if you want to use a texture other than those it comes with. This is what people have been doing in the thread when you see tan textures.

    thank you!! :D :D
Just checked out with it and cannot wait to play! :D

Are you thinking of doing some cool creepy textures to go with it maybe as an addon? Ones that'll do the joints as well? I have images in my head of face makeups like those creepy harlequin clowns :D

No, we're happy with the creepy options it already has.

LOL I didn't even go through the promos or install it yet - I just bought it based on the name of it and on you doing it. :D :D So I actually have no idea as yet what's included.

This is such a cool product. I've actually put myself on a content ban. Basically the only stuff I'm buying for my 3D apps right now are utilities and training material, but this one has my credit card reflex itching. I can just imagine the Doll making a perfect counterpoint to so many of my android/machine renderings, not to mention the perfect subject to replace clay Genesis figures in test/technical renders.

Ah, that itching is getting bad.

    @ scorpio: Beautiful render

I quite like this product- I collect BJDs, so it's right up my alley.

Do you have any plans to create any addons (Soom fantasy parts, different types of bodies/jointing styles, etc)?

@JimZombie: I understand. Making the right decision financially can be hard, and I support you in that. Thanks though. ;)

Krynn: It's not in the works currently. We had to go with a ball style that worked with the technology - some styles just aren't very doable in terms of rigging and fitting to Genesis. This especially was true of the ones with a fully hidden ball, where you mostly just see the edge of the joint. I like that look, and some of the classiest dolls have it, but base G1 or G2F geometry just doesn't have enough polygons to get it right with a morph. At least, I couldn't when I tried it. It would require being done only in texture displacement, which people won't like because they can't use their own textures and it would clip with basically all clothing. What sort of fantasy parts were you thinking of?

Very kewl product! I haven't gotten it yet but want to badly because it's different and unique, out of the box thinking stuff.

Now it's just a matter of finding which option I can purchase it with lol. If I get my support ticket rectified then in my cart it goes. If not, it'll go in my cart some other way lol.

Hi! I'm glad you like it! The lighting is from the simple soft freebie which came out in DAZ's forums by Inane Glory. I think it was released around the holidays last year or the year before as a promo for their simple soft product.
The hair is SWAM's Ice Dove Hair from Renderosity with the texture tweaked to make it white, and the outfit is OutofTouch's Legion of Dusk (just out for g2f at Rendo) with my own Asian and floral shaders applied.
The hair isn't a Genesis hair, but it is pretty easy to adjust as it comes with lots of morphs.

Used the Advanced Ambient Light (a MUST have).

Fuseling and SickleYield, you have really outdone yourselves with this product. I bought the G2F version, since she is my figure of choice these days. Not only did you come up with a unique idea, but the execution is excellent. The only thing that would make me like it more is if there was a separate eyelash morph to return them to original size. I used the eyelash length morph from G2F but it does't really restore them to regular length, and I am not a fan of extra long lashes.

That being said, it's a 9.9 out of 10, you both should be proud. I had a little fun with the doll using Zev0's Growing Up morphs to make a child doll. I know you were going more for the freaky ball joint dolls, but here is proof that it works just as well on regular dolls. My girl is mostly base female with a bit of Girl 6 head morph.

Congratulations, and keep up the good work.

Thanks! I would think these would mix pretty well with your dolly shaders.

The eyelashes are a separate morph. You can find them in Actor/Full Body/Stylized/BallJointDoll (in G2F, that is) if you'd like to turn them off. The eyelash morph is FBMBallJointMorph02.
