I tried out the new Look Into My Eyes II. I loaded one dog and two cats. I selected them in order cat, cat, dog. I ran the script with eyes and head at 100%. Both cats turned their heads and eyes toward the dog. Then, I kept the same items selected and ran the script again. The cats turned their heads further, which surprised me. I did not expect them to move at all, because the first execution of the script already positioned them "100%". I repeated this several times, until finally neither cat moved any more. Is this repeated reposing due to spreading the movement out over the head and eyes differently, depending on what the starting point is, or is something else happening?
That is on my list
How do you want to combine Look At Me and Lighting Designer?
Thanks for considering it. I do not know yet, how will I achieve that.
I need to find the spot on the 360 JPG panorama, where the light could come from.
Then place the light at such spot and find the normal to direct the light.
Probably will put the camera at the same position, to see the direction easily.
I have to try that manually and see, if it can give the desired results.
I have not search on the net yet, to see if any solutions exist for such a problem.
Just saying I finally picked it up today. The first one has been easily the most used script I have and this one seems even better. Thanks for a great product!
Excellent! I am glad I fixed it
The script spreads the head movement over the neck, so 100% does not necessarily mean 100% on the head. My guess is that is what happend when you ran it again. There was still "wiggle room" in the head and it was moved again.
I took advantage of the stack up sale to buy Baby Barry today. I fixed the eyes. So next update will work with him.
Oh, great. I think, the other, similar figures use eyes naming, like Baby Barry.
Support like this keeps us coming back for more of your products. Thanks.
If you find something else that doesn't work, let me know.
You're welcome! Thank you @barbult for the kind words.
Finally picked this one up, I can't wait to get it for a spin! Hopefully today I'll be able to play with it :). I suspect that it'll be a product I'll use for every render!
Thanks for your support! Enjoy!
I need some help understanding what is happening with Look at That II. I wanted G8F to look at her left big toe. It worked fine when she started from the default pose, but when I started with a pose from the Personal Shopper product, she bent over backwards instead of forwards. Is it because her left leg is bent back? Is there a way to get her to still bend forward to look at that toe?
Edit: I think I figured a workaround. I just have to manually bend her forward from the abdomen and chest first and then use Look at That and she will bend forward appropriately. I'll leave this here in case somebody else runs into a similar issue. Maybe this will help.
I started with this:
I selected these options:
And I got this:
Edit: After manually bending G8F forward from the abdomen and chest and then applying Look at That, I got what I wanted:
Thanks for posting. Yes, the scripts try to take the shortest route to the target location. With her foot behind her, that means bending backwards. Your workaround is the suggested remedy.
Thanks for confirming. At first I didn't realize the issue with her bent leg. The result caught me by surprise. There is always more to learn! In the end, I got what I wanted, that I never could have achieved without Look at That.
I truly love your product and was waiting unpatiently for the newer version which I snapped up right away. However I really have not used it much. I still use the older one because many poses look strange with the torso moving and the arms move along with it. For example if someone was in a cat pose, the arms would just swing up unnaturally. Is there any way you could add something that would pin the hands in place?
Unfortunately, that requires an IK (inverse kinematics) system. Until DS has that, I cannot do what you want.
LOL. Not yet. Probably not until 4.12 is out of beta.
Hm. Has anyone tested it with the 4.12 IK system?
I think I shall tonight.
Although, can't you also just lock the bones into place with something like the amazing and essential Pose Mixer?
Locking the bones would not help. What you want to do is NOT lock the bones so that they can move to keep the hand where it has been pinned.
I broke my self imposed spending freeze here for this. Looks fantastic as always can't wait to use it.
Thank you! Enjoy!
The latest update does NOT work with Mr Mushroom's eyes Without the character, I couldn't really test and Daz Testing said it didn't work.
There is an update live in store as of yesterday. It "Added Support for Baby Barry, and Fixed error when setting Adjust Eyelids and Adjust Eyes Independently."
No Problem..Id not thought to send you the set and that is my bad. OT I just bought something else from you today heh (Your store gets me into so much trouble O.o) I picked up Bone Doctor Today
Thank you for the support! We must just exchange money. I have bought 15 of your items. I had wishlisted Mr Mushroom to pick it up later (it is *really* well done ) and then regretted not getting it to make Look at Me work with it.
Well thank you and LOL Yeah we must. Also check you messages I'd sent you a message but I wasn't sure if you'd seen it so in case not
