...as the infomercials all say, 'But Wait! There's More!"
Cool idea for a contest, haven't used Aiko3 in awhile.
Here's one, using genesis1 with custom morphs and 62% Aiko3.
Done in DS and Luxrender
called "No Escape!"
Aiko, for me, inspires thoughts of Blade Runner, which I personally consider one of the classics of sci fi (no idea why she inspires those thoughts exactly, but anyway....), so I took that inspiration and ran for this image. There's a story herein, but it's ambiguous: is Aiko herself the replicant in need of retirement, or is she coming to retire the (heavily morphed) Genesis? Or has Aiko, perhaps, just discovered that she is not a "real girl", after all, and the other woman in the midst of consoling her after learning this horrible truth?
Used:
Upper East Side for Classic Deco
Dystopia City Blocks (yes, they're free, and yes, they're awesome!)
Genesis (heavily morphed, with elements of Bree, Brianne, Manami, and Morgan for V.4/Genesis)
End of Summer Hair
Colors for End of Summer Hair
Day Dreamer Sparkles
Deco Redux (shaded with wonderful fabrics from Moyra's Jewels of Architecture)
The free Aiko bundle, inclusive of ship (Mech Girl outfit completely shaded with fabrics from Moyra's Jewels of Architecture, and other shaders from the Christmas freebie)
Consoling KEM:
More lovely entries. I can't say much about them, because I don't want anyone who hasn't entered yet to get an unfair advantage as to what I do or don't like... but I am looking at every entry.
Title: War Machine Aiko
DAZ Products used:
Aiko 4
The Dark Star
Aikobot 2
V4 Future Cop
Non-DAZ products used:
Leiko
Goth Tales for V4/A4
A fun render contest that has started and I didn't know??
I'm in! Sounds wacky enough!
"Only 3 of you?"
Daz Studio Render
little bit of post, for colour and framing.
That's enough singing Mr Bieber!
A3 got taste!
Edit: rerender with motion blur.
...+1 on that!
super pink! :)
super pink! :)
Nothing wrong with pink... although other colours are good, too.

pink is my favorite. :) the hotter the more exciting.
evo girl has a pink
...there are also pink skins for the Dystopian Weapons Cache 1 & 2 collections.
I know. My favorite color is red, and once I applied the red textures to the suit, I decided to match it with the hair. And the pink in the background (which I think is actually supposed to be red) was the default color used in The Dark Star set. And this was the final result.
By the way, I had this render cooking in LuxRender for almost 60 hours total. :ohh:
....woah, 60 hours? I have Reality2.5 and that makes me wonder if I ever want to use it. Rendering a scene using UE, with ltransmaps and reflectivity in 3Delight is bad enough (which is why I am so happy with AoA's Advanced lights).
Crikey, I've even had Bryce renders with Volumetrics and IBL take less time than that.
I had a 3Delight render (1200x750) that took 53 hours (due to gazillions shards of glass and trace level 8), and it was not even UE2 but AoA AAL (a couple of them)
...if you had the Hitmode set to Shader, true, it can still take a lot of time, especially with a trace level that high.
The highest trace level I used was 4 in the pic I did of Leela at the organ (for all the candle lamps as I parented linear point lights to the candles inside each of the sconces). I still find Linear Point lights very useful for creating certain lighting effects.

If it is any consolation... the longest 3DL render I've had lasted a full week 24/7. It was using the standalone 3DL Professional version on a quad-core machine. That was about 2 years ago or so.
Kendall
I probably could have stopped it a lot sooner, but I was trying to get rid of the graininess from her chest area. It's in shadow, so it took longer to clear. It still has some grain, but I think it's clear enough.
Got ta go.
I think this one hit all bases.
I’d give more detailed description, but I really hate to write.
Not An Entry - I'm hosting and judging this shindig, after all. (Besides, I posted this to another contest thread on the DAZ3D forums back in May 2013.) This is just to mark the halfway point of the challenge.
Vitruvian Machine
Genesis with Aiko3 shape, pure DS render, no postwork
Genesis and the Aiko 3 morph.
I believe I have an idea for this. I hope to work on it over the weekend.
Some fantastic entries so far!!
I had a lot of fun with the Spinning Vicky contest, so I thought I'd put a render together for this one, cause it sounded fun as well. This was the best I could come up with so far, I don't have a catchy title for it, but just think of it as "Aiko" posing for a photo before heading out on patrol - or not.
Rendered in Octane vis the DS plugin, no post work, and most of the surfaces are custom shaders.
Everything used is available here:
Genesis with 25% Aiko3, some V4, G4, and V5, plus a lot of other morphs.
SiFi Candy outfit
Space Base
SiFi Pistols
Playing around with the Aiko3 shape in genesis got me a bit inspired, so here is another
!00% Aiko3 in genesis, some V5 supermodel, some custom morphs and the head at 30% Aiko3 and some scaling and custom morphs.
texture is Sophie Von Rayne from Countess/Silver from RDNA
rendered in Luxrender via Reality.
"Naked in a temple?
Where do I sign?"
Looks like Aiko found something in the subway she wishes she hadn't. I'm not saying it's aliens, but...
(Aiko 5, Sci Fi Pistols, Dark Embrace 2, Morphing Tux, FM t-shirt, Goth Chick, Subway scene, etc etc...)
Edit!!!
Rendered in 3DL, no postwork, tons of light-based fiddling, however.
"Uh Oh..."
Products Used: DAZ Aiko 3, Rani for A3 by Dyald, Shukky's Spacesuit for A3, (both available at ShareCG), Penny Hair (from RDNA), Zubbara (an old freebie from DAZ. May be a paid-for item?). Set-up in Studio 4.6 with final render in Bryce 7.
It's been a while since I've used A3 and sort of forgot what a fun figure she can be. I feel guilt for neglecting her now...
Not an entry, as this is a really old render. The friendly, curious giant is 50 times her size. Aiko is asking, "Now what?"
