  • @ Horo: Down Under - a terribly sad one
       Topic but an impressive picture.
Augur Coach - Very dreamy, wonderful light and these constellations are a great idea.

yeahrightok:Very nice African render, nice DoF.

Horo: Very original and nice render. One potential option for improvement: the snowy tree is a bit lost against the background.

  • Oh, sorry, yeahrightok, I had overlooked your picture.
A very nice render. The POV is well chosen and the animals look very real. Very good work.

yeahrightok - Snowy Egrets is a very nice render. Sorry I was too wrapped up in myself uploading my third entry to comment on your contribution. Keep them coming.

    mermaid - thank you.

    Hansmar - thank you.

  • Many thanks for the comments on my Chtidtmas image.

Hansmar - The vet originally had his gaze a little lower. Thought it might be a little disrespectful,  especially because most soldiers  I’ve met have been most polite…

S Ray - beautiful scene, very nicely done.

  • @ S-Ray: Really great scene, but can it be that the penguin is on the far left on the water?

S-Ray: wonderful render. I hope for the penguins there is lots of land behind the camera. But for the orca, I hope the penguins have no way to go.

    My third entry: Ice fishing

Most of the thing in the scene, other than Michael 4 and the haze and fog cubes from the 'Environments - Inclement weather' set of David Brinnen and Horo, are freebies.

I used the IL for placing many trees (snowfir1, snowfir2 and snowfir3, all instanced many times). And I also instanced a number of stones. I used the sun, a white HDRI for filling in the shadows and a spotlight for some additional light on the tops of the trees at the right.

Yea, she's standing in the shallow wash of the wave.
