We're still working on getting 3DSMax. I'm about to try modeling in C4D. Silo is great but I'm limited on some things. Doing fine detailing is hard and to poly heavy in Silo.

...yes, but TurbulenceFD is what film studios use, and it is a plugin for applications that have a UI which is easier to work with (in my book) than Blender's

What I hear about Blender is that either you hate it or love it.

I need a UI that doesn't have a learning curve as steep as the face of El Capitan.

Complaint: the license for the standalone version of Octane Render is expensive.

...that's still much less than the unrestricted cores version of the 3Delight Standalone.

I just checked the price for an additional Quad-core license for Maya: it is $400. Wow

I still have the old version 9 stand alone render that I downloaded for free. I haven't used it with Daz Studio yet.

...wish I had the resoruces for 3DS. 3,600$ is a lot just for doing modelling (I know it is a full featured app, I just need a good stable modelling/sculpting/UV tool. that isn't hamstrung in some way and is affordable).

I worked with the Silo trial version and quickly brought it to it's knees even on my workstation. 32 bit just doesn't cut it anymore.

The sad thing is it and Hexagon haven't been updated in years and probably never will. Don't need duplication with what I already have.

I love peanuts but can't eat them. I have a slight allergic reaction to them. My throat and tongue will start swelling making it hard to breath.

I just cannot in any way justify buying a spun sugar appliance
is bad enough having a hotdog maker I never use
    and piemaker
    and waffle iron
    snow cone ice shaver
    iceceam and gelati churner
    food dehydrator
    popcorn popper
at least SOME of the latter can have HEALTHY ingredients!

Marshmallow candy, I don't think any have nuts as an ingredient, but I'm sure with your allergies you don't buy anything to eat without reading the labels. People either love 'em or hate 'em. Put me in the "love 'em" category, but I can't eat them because of diabetes.

Daz Studio 4 and Luxrender run great on 32 bit Windows unless I have two copies of Genesis in the scene or trees. The textures of one Genesis and one outfit can use 250 MB of memory easily Add a tree and some rocks then I'll see an out of memory message if I'm lucky. I haven't trued Vue much on the 32 bit system.

I don't know how I ever got by on a 32bit system. So many things anymore require 64bit. I despise my 32bit programs cause I have to watch how heavy I make things or have to do it in stages

    oh yuck
    googled it
corn syrup pretty much rules them out alone
had it first time early this year in my cane sugar laden diet and vomited continuously with swollen throat and tongue
