I posted over in the store thread, the dForce Augmentation Outfit link in the Product Library is going to the product above it, and both are indented. Are you finding any indented sections in the first page or two in the list of products in your Product Library? Since they're both indented, that outfit seems to think it belongs to the previous product which is a room. So clicking on the outfit takes me to that room (as does the room. So both go to the room product page.)

But what is also happening- that outfit isn't showing up in search for me, only the textures- and they don't link to that outfit.

Did it get pulled from the store? It was there yesterday, unless the Product Library is labelling the textures as the outfit.  The  Product Library definitely states it's an outfit, NOT the textures.

Both the outfit and the textures come up empty for me in the Product Library. The product is still in the store - at least as I'm typing this, but I could only find it going through the cryomancer bundle: https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-augmentation-outfit-for-genesis-8-females

I think/hope this is just another bug/error, because even if it had been pulled, it should still be available to download in the product library.

It may be - I haven't checked DIM for a bit, but I did download it from the Product Library some days ago, so it has been in there... Strange.

@Novica, Did you know DIM can download "Thumbnails" of your products? I did not. Someone mentioned the Thumbnails are huge now, and wants Daz to fix it. (Not a bad idea as the images being downloaded now are the full-size promo images.) That's how I found out. I'd always wondered why there was a path to a folder for thumbnails…!

You need to have a path to a folder set up for Thumbnails in DIM Settings, (same page as the path to your downloads folder,) and then the option to Retrieve Thumbnails will show up when you right click on a product. If you select multiple products, you will have the option to download thumbnails for All Selected, OR Missing Within Selected.

With more than 10K installed files on my render machine, I retrieved images in batches, using keywords to filter the installed files, selecting them, and then retrieving any missing in my selection.

These thumbnails will show up when you hover over a product in DIM, so those 2K x 2.6K images can be annoying. (The 1K x 1.3K aren't much fun, either, on my monitor.) However, if you change the path after you finish downloading all those image, the folder will be empty again, and you won't have to deal with those big images via DIM. All images are in the format of SKU.jpg

Once you've got all the thumbnails of items you currently own, you can retrieve thumbnails as you purchase items, then move them to the folder with all the other large images.

I actually used Irfanview to set the long edge to 380 pixels, and left the thumbnails in place. I like being able to see at a glance what the product is.

At some point, Daz will undoubtedly fix the thumbnails so the downloaded image is much smaller, but in the meantime, it's a really fast way to get the main, full-size, promo image.

Product Library is all screwed up Products aren't in order, I have products from two weeks ago at the top of the list, then a few new purchases, and then older purchases then newer ones again

I also have new purchases that aren't in my product library.

Also when I browse my product library I can only look at two maybe three products before it stops displaying any other product

@ladair   I saw that! Isn't it amazing what us old timers are finding out LOL.  I'm sticking to my current system because I drag most of the promo images over into the folders and make category notes as I go. The way I do it, the folder, files, and images are done for each product as I go along. I do several or all images for each product. Does the DIM way only do the main promo images, or all the images for each product? I get a bunch PER product.

@robertfriese  This is such a mess, I'm just making folders for the ones in the Product Library, seeing if I have DIM files downloaded, and my system will show me if something is missing because I always "hide" products after I grab my copy in DIM. So I've only gotten from DIM the most current ones, and I'll see if the list in Product Library matches it up.  I haven't even begun to check the orders to go product by product and see if everything is there. We really don't need this stress. Covid, election, hurricane. Daz screwing up what we own. Really, enough.

  • Yeah and I've still got tickets out for files that I couldn't download last month and the month before

@Novica, DIM only downloads the one image.

    FYI: Public Service Announcement angel

I'm reading about this in the PC sale Discussion thread: The little checkbox for "Recurring" is now showing on your PC+ page, if you're a member. Apparently it's also enabled, (checked,) regardless of where it was set prior to the update. If you don't want to see an unexpected payment for membership, especially if your renewal date is close, be sure to uncheck that box and hit the Save button on the lower right corner of the page!

If you use Paypal to renew, it wouldn't hurt to make sure your recurring payment is also cancelled in your Paypal account.

I'm sure anyone getting billed when they previously had Recurring disabled is an unintended consequence of the site migration and Daz will make it right, but easier on you and CS if you can prevent the payment in the first place.

@ladair   Thanks to both posts :)   In Paypal it's under Settings>Payments and sure enough it was put there too. Grrrr. Daz is really screwing with people. It's just not right to take money from people when they have clearly said not to.

So how are you all doing this morning? It's warm and muggy here in Pensacola

It's been an amazing weather week for us. In the low 70's pretty much every day, most days sunny. Today it got to 80 with a light breeze. Highly usual for November. Two more days and then temperatures drop again. Probably the best stretch of weather we've had in some years.

Thanks for the tip, I changed mine now.

also renewed my PC the other day since there were some discounts stacking that made it attractive (not the best I've seen by pretty good. Of course, no extension shows in my account so I'll be submitting a ticket so it can be corrected.

    You're welcome.

And I'm sure this behavior is unintentional. Programming can be such a maze. A old friend of mine is a programmer and he use to tell me it felt like he introduced two bugs for every one he fixed. (To be clear, this man is a certifiable genius. And humble about it, too.)

  • NovicaNovica Posts: 23,895

Oh, I have NO doubt it's unintentional, but they should put a very, very bold statement on the opening page of the site with a notice about this, with instructions how to undo it like you did. Remember, they repeatedly insist only a FRACTION of Daz buyers are on the forums, so the majority of all buyers are unaware of all the problems on the site unless they do all the research on their own. Heaven help them. Product Library snafus, order emails, DIM, missing products, interactive licenses, no gift cards, can't pay for orders, storing credit card information, payment problems....so good luck spotting a small thing like one little box being checked.

There is the Blog, but that hasn't been updated since Friday. Maybe nobody is working on things over the weekend. They probably need a rest!

First thank you L'Adair for the alert. Even though I don't use PayPal here and my credit card is not stored, it had me set to recurring. Cleared that up and saved.

This story was on my local news site when I went to check on our weather. I immediately had a 'Awe' moment, and thought about you Novica and your care of the stray cats in your area.

We were in the 70s this past week, now 50s, but strong winds and 30s/40s for next week, snow tomorrow in mountain.

I printed my shopping cart and for 2 items had to resort to it to print the promo pages, and track the items I bought today down. Today my products were totally mixed up in the past two-three days of items.

Yeah, and I miss Jake, my flatmate's old cat who went to the heavens last year. But, cat litter boxes, shredded things, especially Christmas trees... Yeah, an old dog is easier on the apartment. And my allergies.

I added the last set of Fonts. Here it is, and I put it with the last group back in the post so they'd all be together.

This is frustrating! The props in the FG Home Props product are scaled strangely - almost randomly. Compare the coffee maker and the coffee cup, the mixer and the toaster, The teaspoon and the plate. The electrical outlet is approximately the correct size. Is your toaster smaller than an electrical outlet? Dumb. Who wants to have to measure and manually scale props like this when you add them to a scene. no

I have a Kitchen Aid stand mixer and just measured it, and it is approximately 18 x 14 inches. That is really rough, the tape measure snapped me. The coffee maker looks like it should be about the same size.

Yeah, I am glad I didn't pick this one up. If you send in a Customer Service report, do you think they will get sized correctly Barbult?

No, I think a customer service report on this would be a waste of my time. It's not even a new product. If I had just purchased it, I would return it in a heartbeat, but I've had it too long. I had one other product from the same vendor that I did return, because the textures on it were really low resolution.

Well, that bites. I think I will stick to maclean and other PAs who take meticulous attention to their products. And maintain them.

Unusual as their products are usually quite good

This one wouldn't encourage me to buy others. It is good to know that you have had better luck with their other products.

Edited to remove quote of removed post.

It might still be worth a report, perhaps they could then include a fresh set of "real world" presets to load them at the correct size (changing the base might  break any scenes that suers had created with local scaling).

Ugh, long story short I tried to fix my printer not working, reinstalled the driver, then the computer went bonkers. Merry go round upon startup of trying to "fix" the computer, so had to do a reset and lost ALL my apps, including the studio (and I assume DIM?)   Edit- Found it in product library. Never mind. What a pain!
