But I don't think DAZ would allow that. Would require to be sent to Shapeways or somfin, and I don't think they do private prints. I can't model for crap, so I'll never get my own dinosaur models and things... =/

How do you feel about the "low-poly" art style?

    ;-)

Blocky works well in some contexts :)

Well, if you want blocky, try ANSI art! Remember that? It was "amazing" back in the days of bulletin boards!

    Dana

It's just not the same. I really want to actually hold those things in my hands, but I'm highly doubtful it'd be allowed =(

Not a modeler, so I can't make my own dinos and stuff >_>

Also, aiming your camera at the sun and taking a picture for no other reason than you can is fun.

    I understand completely.
My computer has plenty of cookies so does my tablet and I have quite a few desserts in my content folder but it is just not the same as a real cookie that I can hold and eat.

Exactly! And older furniture kind of looked more like it had fingers and toes, or claws, on the arms and legs. Not as dramatic as that roduct, but...can you say claw foot bathtub?

They do not creep me out. I am not sure when Adams family and munsters were new. I can go check imdb to find out.

...with my average workday and long commute I was away from home for about 14 hours during the weekdays. Add 7 - 8 hours for sleeping and that doesn't leave left much for "living". Between the long hours, stress, and workplace "games", I'd be so physically and emotionally exhausted from the week that I'd often sleep until almost noon on Saturday and have little energy to do much all weekend.

That pretty much constituted my living "at" or "for" work.

...and yes, looking for work is a full time (and then some) job in an of itself.

I really do need to start working at living...

...provided I ever hit 6 of 6 on the Megabucks lotto.

complaint: one of the plugins/addons that I downloaded for Google Chrome ads/injects advertisements to web pages while I browse. Ugg! No, I am not shopping for a bed.

edit: I found the name of the addon. Now I just need to disable it.

A certain malware cleaner automatically quarantines files without a prompt. I need to find the option to turn off the feature that automatically quarantines files.

Yes, use MalwareBytes, like most of us do. It is one of the best.

I'm just now in the same boat tjohn. I'm south east of the current Tornado on the ground so it is not a issue to me. The new stuff coming out of Mississippi is just as strong and looks to be the stuff that will pass right over me.

I commiserate with you. Sometimes I don't express myself properly and people get upset, or just don't understand my point.

    Dana

Always had some difficulty picking up on emotional cues, am quite socially clumsy sometimes, often really :)

Was a little pop-up T-storm passed to my west. Quiet now.
The real iffy period will be 1:00 am to 6:00 am EDT. As soon as the thunder gets close, I'll head for the safest part of my house.
Flashlight at the ready. Watching the radar update on weather.com until then.
Thanks all. I'm a bit skittish. A tornado tore through here in April 2011, and blew an oak tree down on my house.
Don't want to end up in Oz. (Nor Australia, either)

...another reason I fled the Midwest.

Tornadoes, Sweltering Summers, Bone Chilling Winters, Severe Thunderstorms, Blizzards, Summer one day - Winter the next, Mosquitoes large enough to show up on the airport radar...

Then again I now have to deal with seven months of dreary wet weather, Freezing Rain, Volcanoes, Earthquakes, and possible Tidal Surges from Tsunamis. Not sure if the trade-off is a good or bad thing.

if you ask me, I don't think the grass is greener on either side of the fence.

I remember both those shows and didn't find them creepy, and yes I remember clawfoot bathtubs, though we never had one at home.

I think it's the texturing that makes it so creepy. In a dark mahogany wood texture it wouldn't look half as bad. Also the furniture from back in that era didn't have thighs, shins and forearms, just the claw feet. That makes a difference too.
