Racoon?

This is strange, i've searched for a full rigged 3D racoon for Poser/Daz, but no one has ever thinked to make one. There a lot of 3D animal around, but no one racoon character.

Try you to find, i've searche it on DAZ, RuntimeDNA, Renderosity and Content Paradise.

Seriously you can find an Okapy or a Thylacine, and every tipe of dinosaur, but no one Racoon.

Only available are moprh for Starfox Krystal or Melody, but i search for a real racoon.

    Do you need it poseable?

Most Digital Creations has a Raccoon as a prop in his free stuff.

I'd love a poseable raccoon. We need more forest critters that aren't 5+ years old.

Yes, posable, i've MDC Racoon too, but isn't poseable.

Kendall Sears and Alessandro_AM have previously posted that they are working on a raccoon, but it was a while back and I don't know what the current status is. I would like to see one also.

Capsces has a Raccoon morph, as well as a fox and a rabbit, as part of their Cat o 9 Lives set for the old Poser 4 cat (came with Poser 4-7.) With some LAMH love it might be what you need to hold you over. http://www.capsces.com/capframe.htm go to downloads page, it's at the very bottom.

I'm making one, the basic shape is almost complete, I need to weight map and texture it, and of course add LAMH fur.
Should be handed to QA in about 10-14 days...

I hope you didn't shave a raccoon to use as a modeling reference.
Looking good, by the way. :)

If the front paws work as proper little hands as my little family that visits me for cat food dinners do then I'm sold.

I think that back when I lived in Texas, the racoons had figured out how to pick the locks. They are very clever creatures, and fearsome when they come at you with a switchblade. :D

Sounds like cats have some competition in the race to evolve opposable thumbs. :smirk:

I had a pet one when I was 17, he was so mean no matter what i did to try and gain his trust. Got him when he was young so I figured it would be easy, but eventually let him go after 8 months. One thing that amazed me was no matter how much I fed him how skinny his body was when I washed him, he was all fur, LOL

That is why I said in my runtime not in my house.

I got a Mam and her 4 Kits that visit me most nights for a dry cat food dinner. The Mam will eat her fill first keeping all the kits away from the rather large pan I thought they could all share from, then she will leave and the Kits settle down to their meal. Each will keep one paw in the bowl at all times fishing for bites or holding one while they eat with the other. Very much growling happens when one thinks another is to close to his or her food. I named the runt Rocky as I can only tell it from the others. Rocky is very small compared to the others. The Mam is HUGE.

I only watch from my screen door which they tolerate but if I move suddenly they all scatter to the wind. Very cute creatures, but not pets in my view.

I need to make the tail thicker, perhaps also the hind legs fur thicker too, but here is a raccoon WIP test render.

He's really cute. I wanted to buy an animal, but I couldn't think what I would ever use a Warthog for. Now a Raccoon seems much more useful for my rendering style. I look forward to him.

I bought the Warthog in order to get the discount on further items, and -- if it's a choice between some skimpwear and an animal by Alessandro -- I'm buying the animal every time, even if I haven't got a clue what I'll do with it either. I'm sure it will be way more useful in my runtime than another leather miniskirt. :D

Would a Red Panda morph be possible in the future?

COON!! That is soo coon. I love em both. Different ones do have different furry-ness all over. I'm so liking the coon.
I so wish we had a genesis quadruped, so morphs from young to old could be done. And of course other stuff like other animals too.

Well for now this is a great coon. I so gonna get this one very fast.
