"This guy can't be up to anything good."

Wanted to try a realistic render using the LAMH Raccoon in Yosemite but he ended up in Monterey! This is just the first, quick stab at it and I think it is looking promising. Rendered in DAZ (latest DIM Update) using the shadow catcher that comes with DimensionTheory's HDR Pro Sets Monterey BBQ scene with Eruanna AOIBL Lights added in. Working on more renders with this set up now and having a BLAST!

At first glance I thought it was a photo. Result? :)

Excellent render, maybe I'd make the fur a little darker (just being very picky) :)

You might want to lower the specular using the LAMH Pane so that the lights don't cause the fur hairs to look so bright. (Color setup group, click on the right-most color box)

Thanks Kendall! I have been wondering how to do that in other LAMH renders as well! I was planning on asking Alex how to do it this morning - OR try reading that manual thing for myself. :shut:

The default specular settings for LAMH presets are usually for the base UE2 settings for DS. Other light sets will require tweaking specifically for them. Since LAMH is creating "real" hairs, light settings will be different than for transmapped or conforming items.

I find that setting the specular lower, in general, is a good idea if one is not using the UE2 or base DAZ lights,

UGH. That crashed DAZ - HARD. I'll play with it later after I get some other work done. Thanks for the tip though!
