Both of these sets look very good but I think the Hercules hair actually fills a needed niche so that set has really caught my attention.

Well, thank you.. but that are 3 sets actually , and by purchasing one of the first 2 you will get the Hercules for free
The spartan have also own hair and beard so you will have some collection to mix up and match

the Hercules hair was just a silly accident while modeling .. but it turned out into something else and I really like it too

Overdoing it? - Not at all. :) I wish every vendor put as much detail into their items as you do. One can see that you put much love and care into your creations. They're beautiful. ; )

Totally agree the detail is what really sets your stuff apart, and pushes it up the top with a few others.

Thanks it is nice to hear that , I said that before as I hear couple negative comments regarding to much details what was little odd , but personally I love doing it and all 3D scans I am study have even double more as I believe the sculpted details make it more real and not just plain photo textures what I stopped using a time ago as everything is hand painted ,sculpted and synthetic generated based on the actual 3D geometry to avoid baked in specular and other stuff from photos that show up when you render outside DS or Poser with Luxrender or Octane for example .. this way it will be more universal and timeless ..

Thanks Tarina for the kind words !! you will get it very soon
as I just finished texturing of Hercules

now just slight morphs adjustments and final technical "polish"
all textures 4096x4096 Diffuse, specular, glossy, normal, displacement ( optional ) did not used but is included just in case

I used M6 textures and Gianni shape for the render and the rest is what you get as freebie by your next order ..

Well not really helpful after I was working on that for so long days where you had your chance to speak .. and coming with idea when it is finished don't really help .. seriously
but I give you a hope .. it is called OPACITY .. one slide and the chains will be gone ..so much of not usable set story

I hate to say this but the Chain on the Bracer just blew it for me. The
chain is anchored at two ends and does not have a anchor on the drop end at
the wrist. Built this way the chain would hang freely due to gravity. It is
details such as sleeves that have no hang morphs, especially those open
large ones, and chains, ropes, or other decoration type strings or ties on
outfits that never have the proper morphs to hang and or swing properly when
a figure is posed that makes much content useless except for certain poses.
This limits the use of the outfit and in my view greatly influences my need
of them. Be it free or pay for items, if they do not work properly in all
the ways it should work I personally hve very little use for a item.

    Just my two cents.

Personally speaking I had not even noticed that, and now it has been mentioned ... my immediate thought was, "and?" Almost every single product for use in Daz Studio (and Poser, etc.,) is going to suffer from lack of real world flexibility. To me the non-movement of those chains means that instead of being a 100% great product it is maybe 99.999999 (recurring)% great and I tend to round up! Also knowing of this 'fatal flaw' I'd still buy this. Oh, it's going to be free ... ;)

It is not even possible to make all gravity variations even if you want , as there will be always some Poses where it will not go right and no one product in the store have it beside basics, you will have to make all morphs for all poses you own .. The figures don't have gravity morphs too , no muscle systems, no dynamics, no soft cloth everything is stiff...and frozen in time .. maybe one day will will have everything but until then . Fake it until they make it

well I made the additional 00000001 % so it is now 100%
you will not even hear a chain sound while posing LOL hahaha

if that gonna save your render day, I want to do it!

    and done ..

    Hi Cath,

Your work is absolutely stunning. I LOVE all the detail you put into your models, and I just cannot wait for these sets to be released. Instant Purchases without doubt...

I was wondering, are you considering making a Roman Toga in the future, along the line of Roman Men and Women's day wear and Roman Senitorial Robes.??

I have serious need for Roman clothes for G2M / G2F of the quality that you make...

    Cheers,

    S.K.

    Thanks swordkensia ,
I was for plan to make another clothing set freebie Hercules wife, Dejaneira
since he will have own Spartan buddies already
But I may go back into traditional Roman ancient clothing as well as I think there would be more folks that would be interested in this kind of stuff, making Toga is not easy especially the rigging and weight maps part.. but I did this before for my contractors so not see a problem but in this case it will be historical reconstruction ..

    Wow Great news Cath,

Indeed I can fully imagine how complex rigging something like senitorial robes would be, but you have definately shown you've got the skill and then some..!!!!

p.s. I have just found your Roman Tunic, and the Roman Armour set at your store, I will be buying those tomorrow..

Looking forward to all of your product releases.

    Thanks S.K
I was doing a time ago a full Sari for my contractors.. where the Sari was just 1 cloth.. like the Roman Toga
my skills on weight maps in DS 4.0 was not as good as they are today as DS.4 was just released on the time with the new technology and contractors want it exclusive for new Genesis 1... but I am going back into it ASAP as I need it for my own library as I love this type of stuff very much and always a great new challenge ..

    Thanks
    Cath

P.S Because of the forum's rules I am not allowed to talk about products from my own store here so if anything please follow the support on my website ... sorry :)

I'd definately would really like some decent and authentic roman clothing/equipment. Nothing against some fancy and exotic fantasy clothing, gear and armor, but in the historically acurate content section there's still a huge gap IMO.

Although I hope your not entirely done with the Greeks yet. What I'd really like to see/get my hands on... or, more precisely, geit it into my Content Library... would be a 6th/5th century BC Spartan Hoplite with a linen cuirass and Corinthian helmet, like pictured by famous british author and archaeoligist Peter Connolly (I really admire his works). To a decent and acurate greek bronze muscled-cuirass I'd also wouldn´t say no.

As I wouldn't to a nice roman lorica segmentata of the Roman Empire era. Or 2nd century BC equipment of a Roman Triarius, Hastatus/Princeps and Velite of the republican era.

    Thanks :)

I am done for now with the theme but I will be back with one more set what is the one in the picture bellow , and I want to make exact replica of that ..but this will be my off time project as it will take me some time ..not the modeling but the setup
I learned new tricks a lot doing my last 3 products ..
