Stupid DAZ site with it's stupid 1AM "uploading everything to the store, so the entire site stops working." I hope this counts!!

Last pull!! I can do this!!

4017 LITTLE TRIP for Far Journeyer, (outoftouch), RR
    4554 Modern Lawnmower, (Valandar), DAZ
4890 NightHawkTextureExp, (Anna Benjamin, Sarsa), DAZ
    429 April Hair, (Propschick), DAZ

A lawnmower?? Really?!! Arg. Let's see... DAZ is Mountain time... so, T-minus 6-and-a-half hours or so?

    Oh, fine. Challenge accepted.

Also used: DM Legends (Danie, marforno), Lucifuge's Grave (Orestes Graphics), Terraluna (Mortem Vetus), Far Journeyer (MAB, WillDupre), Nighthawk for V4 (Bobbie25, Umblefugly)

    Title: Cutting the Graaz

The Night Elves were losing the war against their evil enemies. It would be mere days before they fell to the Graaz. In a last, desperate attempt to turn the tide, the last Sorceress chanted the sacred text... well... almost.

She had asked for a weapon that would cut down the Graaz. But she apparently didn't enunciate clearly...

    Yikes! That's bad.

I found a frog in my toilet a couple weeks ago. After I got up and flushed, I saw him in there. Thank goodness he didn't jump on me while I was sitting there. You would have heard me scream, wherever you are.

Edited to add: Not and Entry! ;-)

LOL!! Okay, that tops the midnight exploding toilet. My hubby-to-be is an engineer and he managed the new valve without incident. (Thank goodness for 24-hour big-box stores with hardware departments.) But I know for CERTAIN that he'd have freaked over a frog in the toilet. That's both hilarious AND disturbing!

Neither frog nor penguin!! And it was an unholy mess. Clear water, but water EVERYWHERE. Maybe I should be thinking "penguin" in the future!

Even if the render doesn't count, I am very proud that I (almost) managed ALL SEVEN renders before the deadline! It's a first for me!

And now that the render AND toilet are taken care of, I shall go back and look at all the amazing things you all did while I was stuck in RL!

Well, you got a lot closer than I did. My #7 is still a WIP that needs a easy hour to finish. Well I'm gonna breath a minute or two and then go finish it just to post as a NEA. Piddle, why did I play with those shaders for so long? ARGH!!

..I'm still shocked that I was able to pull off a second one and that was with about a two and a half hour break to sit in the sun at the local Bierstube.

    ...nice one.

Maybe they can mulch their enemies.

Hopefully it gets accepted, not every day does one's dunny just explode.

Ken OBanion #4 That's great. Ken! I love the teenage girl air conducting in skimpwear. Who else would think of that? Or maybe I should say, who ele would render it?

Well, Totte comes immediately to mind. The man has no fear, and no shame! ;-P

I take that as a compliment Ken ;-)

Good! Because that's how I meant it!

Totte is an inspiration to me for sure to post stuff, in spite of my fear and shame. And I meant that as a compliment too, Ken, %-P

Okay. So, I went to flush. Nothing happened -- the chain from the handle had somehow come loose from the flapper. After flushing manually (via a chain tug), I tried to reattach the chain. It was kinda like a keychain, where you have to slide the key around in a circle, through the spiral opening. (And how the heck does something like that just come undone? Maybe there was a frog in there, undoing toilet mechanisms when we weren't looking...?) Last week, reattaching the chain would have been easy. But my fiance has JUST moved in and he brought this nice set of shelves that stand over the back of the toilet. You have to screw the cross-bar under the plumbing, so it doesn't come off easily. ANYWAY, I was wedged under the shelves, trying to reattach the chain, when my future hubby came and tried to "help" by lifting the float ball, so that the tank wouldn't fill while I worked. Now there are TWO of us wedged under the shelves with our hands in the toilet. And this is where things take a dark and sinister turn. Okay, it was actually pretty hilarious, albeit very, very messy. He offered to try fixing the chain while *I* lifted the float ball. So we began trading places, but the float ball must have been lifted a little too forcefully and the entire mechanism (plastic) snapped out of the pipe fitting, sending a geyser of (thankfully clean) water EVERYWHERE. I haven't laughed so hard in years. My children, age 10, were standing in the hallway looking at us as if we'd lost our minds because, after I scrambled for the shutoff valve, we were completely unable to speak through the laughter/tears/hyperventilation that ensued. I almost peed my pants, which would have been convenient because as of that moment, there was nowhere ELSE in the house to pee. Thankfully, all was resolved after a trip to the 24-hour Walmart.

I look forward to Freak Accidents!! Glad the exploding toilet was inspirational!!

I fell asleep halfway through catching up on my comments from this contest. I must go finish them before something else in the house explodes...

@Ken OBanion / @KaribousBoutique - thanks for the tips, one day I'll try out Poser properly. I won a copy of Poser 10 in a prize draw and installed it but found it hard to find my way around (I started dabbling in DAZ Studio in 2010 and have almost found my way round that!) Maybe I should try reading the manual too :red: I'm impressed with the examples shown here. (I also took at look at your "full" version of "Shrouded", KB - it's lovely!)
@barbult "Pigeon Poop Patrol" - great idea, really funny - I like the way you used the Mil Big Cat. I thought you'd decided to sit this RRRR out, but here you are with just hours to go...
@Kyoto Kid "uhhh, Mr Soldier" - ooh, scary! I love the use of the toxic puddle and the colours here, and that arm...
@KaribousBoutique "Cutting the Graaz" - another clever idea, reminds me of the trouble folks have with those automated answering systems that completely mishear whatever is said - neat use of the lawnmower and another super render. (Hope Totte lets you off for those 12 minutes - looks like he allowed an extra hour - congrats on the 7/7 if so!) Hope you've dried out by now too :)
@Totte - Freak Accidents sounds like a fun idea

Thanks, Kyoto Kid and MelanieL, for your comments. I had almost decided to sit this one out - not because I wanted to, but because I was overwhelmed with other things going on. I drew my items weeks ago, but I never had time to invest in it. Then I saw Ken's "12 hour" message and it was do or die! So I "did". I was feeling too sad at the thought of being left out of the fun. Now I need to go back and look at all of the entries. I'm sure I've missed lots of entertaining renders while I've been inattentive to the forums. Getting the email notices sure seems intermittent.

I think this will pretty much erase everything before that!

cecilia.robinson #3 (Dangers & Dumbies) This is simply awesome! And it brings back so many memories of my own college days, too! (Yeah, I was one weapons-grade geek back in those days!) The feel is so evocative of advertising art, I can't help but think this was the 'voice of experience' speaking. Well done!

I'm humbled, thanks so much. I think it could have turned better if there were not limits set for my software... The full version is around 4000 pixels long :shut: ! I research fantasy and gaming culture, so I couldn't resist.

    Listen up!

I'm making the vote setup, and some entries in the entries thread, all by the same person, does not conform to the rules about how an entry post should be written. There is a reason for this rule, it makes setting up the voting feasible, those entries has to conform or be DNF:ed.

Mine are correct, right? I included the number tag (I made three), my nick and the title. Even a short link to the post... Please tell me if it is correct, if not, apologies and let me correct it. It is the first time I play in RRRR...

Nope, they are not, look how every other entry is tagged, and there is a description in the first post, and all other first time players got it right.

    Image title.

    Entries must conform to that!

Here my friends we post entries only, neatly tagged with name and number and entry name.

Denny L #1 (Screeching Halt) An interesting use of a truly bizarre group of items, very imaginatively and artistically presented! And are those scorpions..., squaring off against each other? Hmm, another story to be told there. Very good job!

Yes, those are indeed scorpions. Found those when I was looking at some of the older items in the Daz Store. You wouldn't realize it when looking at the main promo image, but those weapons are included with the scorpion.

@Denny L "Screeching Halt" - oh that's cute! And weird - I like the little fella popping out of the screen there (Funny how often Emotiguy is getting pulled this month)

Thanks. A lot of weird goes on in my mind. :cheese:

(For mine, Emotiguy was just an extra and not part of the actual pull. Although I did notice Summertime Grill in a number of pulls)

    Miraculous Rescue

As I was sifting through the thread, typing up my comments, I realized that HastyDave's entries aren't in the entries-only thread. Shall I PM him, or is it already too late?
