BTW, everyone is doing wonderful renders. It's so much fun to see new people participating and there's such a wide range of approaches. Nice job everyone :)
The Greener Pastures (or Lawns) of Bungalow Land
Young Lord Gerald of Bramblebust prepares to leave home, convinced that a better life awaits him in the bungalows of West Baddenpoole. His father, the eccentric Earl of Bramblebust, tries in vain to convince his son to stay, reminding him in vain that "all of this will be yours one day."

I'd better post this as I just did my next pull:

Certainly an odd set - I hope I can come up with something more interesting than the last one...
Well this one certainly took me long enough to get around to...

And I see I've been away too long - lots going on. @KaribousBoutique "Checkmate" - another beauty, I love the colour palette in this one. That hair really looks good in your render too.
"Keepers of the Holy Teacup" - you may say "boring and predictable" but I think it's a fun idea - nice steam effect too. @HastyDave "Vampire Hunter" - ooh, moody look there - and that little dribble of red under the open hatch door really sets it off. @emsim "Stolen Christmas" - nicely done, I especially like the smoky/steamy effects. @Fobok1 "Parkside Tunnel Bathhouse" - another moody one. I like the poses, especially the way the young stranger is peering into the window.
"Bank Yard Sale" - clever idea for a tricky pull. @Zawarkal "Mommy Dearest" - ooh, now that's a scary sight! Very striking render though.
"How To Train Your Dragon" - wow, how long did that take?! Such a complex image and so well done. @Jaderail "Old World Excursion" - great idea, nice expressions - the old man looks really miffed at his wife's attitude :) @Spyro "The Seeker" - lovely render - nice composition and DOF. (Is this your first ever RRRR by the way?) @Ken OBanion "Seizing Every Opportunity..." - nice idea though, poor kid - I bet a lot of kids could identify with that :) @Sasje "Lets Rock" - that's great! Really clever use of EmotiGuy (I wouldn't have had a clue what to do with him if I'd pulled him) @Luci45 "Madame LeZarde's Synthetic Organs" - brilliantly weird! That customer looks truly grisly, and there's so much going on in the background too.
"The Greener Pastures..." - that's great both the idea and the execution. I like the misty-rainbowy-ness of the fabled Bungalow Land :)
PS: No I didn't know there was a Hurdy Gurdy outfit for the SilverKey Monkey - looks like a fun set. @Totte "Motel Security Monitor" - clever idea - but that guard is really missing out on events on Camera 07! @Jindi "Remember it's about the birds" - great fun, what a show-off!
@MelanieL - Very clever concept and use of those poses. I love how you've put this together, blending 3 great ages (we hope!) in one scene. Your characters have a lot of character :) and I enjoyed discovering who was using which textures and outfits.
All those entries are making me sing with joy - you're so creative, guys! I have it easier, I suppose, as I mainly have stuff for creating humanoids instead of lots of props or poses (I make them myself or start with the free ones and then modify them). I will try to prepare another draw, but for now, I can only observe yours - I'm having a very important event this Tuesday and I'll be offline. Keep your fingers crossed if you can though!
You are all so hard-working!!! I simply copied what I had in the order history, pasted into an Excel sheet and ordered "Sort by letter". Now I'm slightly embarrassed... Sorry, but including all freebies would be too difficult.
That's exactly what I do for RR and DNA. And I don't include freebies, either... though I do keep all my freebies in a single runtime, which I use in the Freebie challenges over in the Freepozitory here. :)
(...)
cecilia.robinson #2 - My money is totally on the kitten. Lol.
Thank you so much! Well, I have some strange knack for a few cats I've never met (this stock image and Persian Cat by AdamThwaites I somehow stick into each freebie render). Surprisingly, I prefer dogs in real life having one. I was so inspired by Garfield's arachnophobia that it's nearly a violation of intellectual property . I hope Garfield doesn't mind though!
And slightly off-topic, yes, I have a separate runtime for freebies too. Now, I'm making a backup (1 TB of my computer) and when it finishes correctly, I plan to uninstall all stuff from DS I have, install DS - the latest version (my first rendez-vous with 4.6!) - and group my items even better (free hair; free Generation 4 characters; free Genesis morphs; free Gen2F/Gen2M stuff; free Dawn goodies; free Generation 4 clothes; free Genesis clothes; free props...). This should be a lot of work to pay off in the nearly unforseeable future.

650 Michael 4 Textures 02
817 Rave Girl for Aiko 5
This pull gave me a couple of characters in search of a set. Fortunately, my concept for the current monthly PC contest was a set in need of characters.

This is a big groan. :grrr: I never use Luxrender, even though a have Reality and Luxus. Now I have to re-learn the basics, and wait for the oh-so-slow renders. Well, at least InaneGlory has light rigs set up. However, they are studio lights and I have three environments! One indoor and two outdoor! I think I will have to use parts and pieces or will never get this done. Should be a challenge... :bug:
Well, maybe my next pull will be better. So here goes....
Round #4:
120 - The Studio Bundle
289 - Fantasy Poses for Aiko 5
582 - CD Player, CD Case & CD
2316 - SP3 Nighty
Hmm.... Then again, maybe not.
A couple of writing projects have been impinging on my infamously short attention span lately, along with sundry domestic obligations (laundry, general tidying-up, a visit from my brother and his wife, and so forth...), so it took a while to get this one knocked out.
And let's face it: this pull practically had 'LAME!' tattooed across its forehead; there just weren't all that many ways I could have taken this one (especially since I gave up doing hallucinogens!), and the obvious story-treatment was, well..., obvious! (Teen-aged girls in skimpwear; what's not to love!?) So....

Title: First Slumber Party of the Summer
"Look, I told you -- I'm okay with the Beethoven; I'm even okay with the 'air-conducting'. But I swear, if she starts belting out 'Freude, Schone Gotterfunken' at the top of that screechy little voice of hers, I am going to bitch-slap her till her ears bleed!"
(By the way.... How do you put an umlaut in these posts?)
I decided to try Novica's technique, with a slight variation: I pulled two discreet sets of numbers - the first group of four represent the page in my Product Library, and the second group represent the line-item on that page. The result:
62/31 - Silent Illumination
48/35 - Medieval Garden
18/7 - Nordic Hair
64/21 - Dream Home: Foyer and Living Room
Oh, yeah, this just keeps getting better and better...! (And you have to say it, or read it, exactly the way Brendan Frasier delivered that line in The Mummy!)
Remind me not to try that again; it's just too dangerous!
Thank you Totte, Luci45, Karibou & MelanieL. My second entry is coming along slowly - partly because I'm having some issues with Breaking Waves looking plastic in Carrara and partly because I had to work all weekend. (12 hour night shifts and creativity do not play well together - at least not for me) :) I'm sure I will figure it out though.
@KaribousBoutique - I remember the Karibou Who Stole Christmas. I loved those poems! Dazville would never be the same if these two got together. :-P
I have been dreadfully remiss in following what everybody else has been doing in this incarnation of RRRR (I've been dreadfully remiss in keeping up with what I've been doing!), so I thought I'd take a break, while I wait for my muse to get back from her spa weekend, to catch up. Starting at the beginning....
Luci45#1 (Fairy Nanny): Ah, yes, the ever-popular rambunctious kids! (Probably not so popular with nannies, though!) Beautiful composition, great colors, lots of action! The eye just bounces around the scene; very playful composition! And congrats on drawing "first blood"!
Totte #1 (The Trans-Siberian Railroad Trip): I particularly like the through-the-window framing, and the wisps of smoke from the cigar are perfect! One of those 'Slice-of-Life' vignettes that are so dead-on accurate, you had to have been there, in that compartment! (I'm betting the Russian mobster; it kind of suits you...!)
KaribousBoutique #1 (A Memory of Honor): Compelling, riveting, hauntingly beautiful, and in a way, almost inexpressibly sad. But a spectacular image, nonetheless. Well done!
cecilia.robinson #1 - I assume; there was no tag (Let Them Burn): I really, really like this one: whimsical and apocalyptic at the same time, with just a soupcon of GEICO commercial for flavor! Sweet!
Jindi #1 (The Gulls are Peckish): The 'Then-and-Now' approach was an interesting twist; I like it! (In fact, I'll probably end up stealing it!) The kids are charming, but then, kids renders almost always are! (And it's amazing how our perspectives change as we grow older, isn't it? "Those space pirate wenches!" Arr, wenches!)
Totte #2 (Mind the Gap): Typical Totte - vibrant, well-executed, utterly believable characters, completely out of left-field, and just oh-so-slightly macabre! (When I worked in New York, that gap was my one recurring nightmare; precisely that scenario, in fact!) Bravo!
dievans #1 (Hide and Seek): There's a lot going on in this render, and the story it tells could go in any number of different directions. (Some rather less 'happily-ever-after' than others; but for whom?); in other words, intriguingly ambiguous. Excellent work!
Luci45#2 (Consulting the Oracle): Another Luci masterpiece! Fanciful, complex, great story, and the overall mood is spot-on! What can I say? (Well, how about, 'Whoa!'?)
KaribousBoutique#2 (Disgruntled Employee): I really like the story behind this one! The fact that it's so beautifully executed is just frosting on the cake! The action that the poses imply gives it a very fluid, very dynamic, feel. Just plain wonderful!
Gopherus#1 (I Coulda Been a Rockstar): Inspired, perhaps, by that Robert Frost poem, The Road Not Taken? The characters, the story's point-of-view.... "I coulda been a contender" -- for Funniest, this one is, most definitely, a contender! Excellent job!
Ostadan #1 (Untitled): A little bit Alice in Wonderland, and a little bit Sink the Bismarck!. (But maybe that's just me. Or maybe it's the Martinis; could go either way!) Intriguing image, though; makes me wonder if there are more mushrooms in play here than just the one at the table!
MelanieL#1 (No Evil): There's a certain 'oil-on-canvas' (Joshua Reynolds, perhaps?) quality to this one that is downright haunting. And what you've done with the lighting is just plain awesome! (Especially the light from the candle, cast against the wall, and the screen; Bravissima!) 'Whoa!' applies to this one, as well; a beautiful piece of work!
Sasje#1 (Beware of the Curse): The characters' expressions, poses, the textures, and the lighting give this one a mood of overwhelming menace that would creep out Freddie Kreuger! (The ground fog is a nice touch, too!) Nice job!
Jindi#02 (Welcoming His Second Wife): This is just so magnificently macabre, very reminiscent of those old Vincent Price movies that always scared the crap out of me when I was a kid (including that Frankie-and-Annette beach-party movie he had a cameo in!) Well played!
TimG#1 (Memorial Day Sushi-Q at the Palace): Hmm, somehow I just don't see sushi becoming a Memorial Day tradition.... But it's an interesting juxtaposition of items, and a rather off-the-wall twist. Nice arrangement and use of colors, too.
dievans #2 (Anywhere But Here): This one strikes a chord; I'm sure we've all been on one of those summer trips to "historic" places (Jesse James' grave springs to mind; I think I was ten). And the kid's slouching gait literally screams, 'I'd rather be -- as the title says -- anywhere but here!. Captures the mood perfectly.
HastyDave #1 (Miraculous Rescue): This is one of those moments-in-time images that make you really want to see the scenes immediately before and immediately after: what brought her to this pass, and does she escape the clutches of that... whatever that thing is? The suspense is killing me! (Which I would wager was your intention all along, right? Well, Mission Accomplished!) An excellent render!
Morgan R. Lewis #1 (Disciple of the Yogi):The one thing that leaps out at me most in this image is the lighting; specifically, the colors of the various lights. It gives the image a lot of depth, and an almost surreal, other-worldly feel. Fascinating!
Totte #3 (Guybrush Threepwood's less known adventure): I'm seriously impressed, Totte! This image works for me on two levels: One, it is a veritable tour-de-force of Totte-caliber WTF-ness, almost arrogantly zany; and Two, a sterling example of the lengths some people will go to, to inject the most obscure gamer arcana in the Twelve Galaxies* into a render title! And it succeeds brilliantly at both! Kudos, Totte; kudos!
Jaderail#1 (Charlie Girl!): A well-constructed, beautifully-executed render, that hints of an intriguing story: I'm more than a little curious about her role in that little incident, myself...!
dievans #3 (Zombie Hunt): Another great one, dievans, full of action and suspense! The fact that you opted to forego a muzzle-flash adds that certain level of almost unbearable suspense, and that's what makes this image so effective. Well done!
cecilia.robinson #2 (CLASH OF MINDS): Almost painfully romantic; dark, brooding, very nearly Wuthering Heights-ish. (Well, one of those Bronte broads, anyway.) The 'god-rays' coming through the window lattice is an especially artistic touch, as is that splash of color provided by the flowering vine. All in all, a lovely bit of work, one that I wouldn't hesitate to call 'art'.
Luci45#3 (Fashionistos): Another delightful example of your gifts for creating a 'scenario' (as well as your enviable mastery of postwork; I really wish I could do that!). Your ability to populate a scene with lots of people, without simultaneously melting your computer, never ceases to amaze me, Luci. And, oddly, the 'lens flare' actually adds to the effectiveness of the scene, rather than be a distraction. (JJ Abrams, are you taking notes?) Truly an awesome render!
HastyDave #2 (We have cookies): I just love this one! There are just so many details that resonate, on so many levels. It truly strikes a chord across the whole pop-culture spectrum! A fantastic job!
KaribousBoutique #3 (Checkmate): This one really resonates with me, mostly because I can relate to the sentiment so well! Of course, I usually just flip the board over when I'm losing, but hey -- whatever works, right? The colors are spot-on, the depth of field is marvelously executed, the wisp of smoke from the gun.... So many elements work together to make this one a great render!
KaribousBoutique #4 (Keepers of the Holy Teacup): This one is just plain sensual! (I think it's che characters' eyes; they have what I once heard referred to as 'bedroom eyes with the shades drawn'.) The darkness of the environment, the lighting -- oh, yeah, especially the lighting! It's almost hypnotic; I love it!
HastyDave #3 (Vampire Hunter): I like this one because I have had this weird fixation with vampires for..., well, going on four or five years, now. (Yet another something for my therapist to figure out, I guess!) I also like the simplicity of the image, and that little detail below the cooler door, implying that he may actually be too late! I like it; I like it a lot!
emsim #1 (Stolen Christmas): Someone, in another RRRR, long ago, noted that an RRRR isn't complete without a Christmas render; I concur. And this is a good candidate. The characters are well-drawn, the story is well defined, and the composition is busy without being cluttered. You did a pretty good job on the lighting, too; it reminds me of stage lighting. A very, very good job!
Fobok1 #1 (Parkside Tunnel Bathhouse): The story this image tells is interestingly ambiguous -- and that's actually a good thing. (I, for one, am imagining all sorts of weird goings-on "behind those swinging doors" -- a reference to, I think it's called the Red Dog Saloon, somewhere in Alaska. Then again, I'm probably just a pervert! Or 'pro-vert' -- I gave up my amateur standing years ago!) The lighting and shadows are especially effective.
Zawarkal #1 (Mommy Dearest): And once again, Zawarkal delivers a surrealistic (at the risk of repeating myself) tour-de-force of positively psychedelic imagery! (If you guessed Salvador Dali on bad dope, I wouldn't argue!) It's dark and colorful all at once, while
simultaneously capturing your imagination and scarring your soul. It's absolutely brilliant!
Jaderail #2 (Old World Excursion): This one actually made me laugh, because I know a couple very much like the couple depicted in the image. (My parents!) The poses are great (and so damned familiar!), while the overall scene reminds me of a frame from a comic strip. Excellent work!
Spyro #1 (The Seeker): This one evokes memories of those Saturday morning jungle movies I grew up with, way back when! The sense of adventure, of discovery, almost leaps off the screen, and the colors and lighting lend an almost dream-like quality. A very nice presentation!
Sasje #2 (Let's Rock): The 'highest and best use' (to paraphrase the National Association of Realtors) that I can think of for the Emoti-Guy. The expressions are priceless, and the overall tone of the image reminds me of the Muppets' house band, the Electric Mayhem! And the eyes! Oh, those eyes...! Well done, Sasje!
Luci45#4 (Madame LeZarde's Synthetic Organs): What can I say: Luci strikes again! Vivid colors and poses, inspired use of the pulled items.... And a story that reads like 'Robin Cook Meets Sam Walton'! Inspired lunacy with a bit of an entrepreneurial flavor. Marvelous! Simply marvelous!
Totte #4 (Motel Security Monitor): Oh, wow! Another slice-of-life vignette from Totte's World! (Kind of like Wayne's World, only with a much higher body-count.) It covers the full range of the human experience: from the prosaic, to the horrific, to the ludicrous, to the pathetic, in one eye-popping image. You've done it again, Totte!
Zawarkal #02 (How to Train Your Dragon 2054): Not nearly as disturbing as your earlier entry, but every bit as visually arresting and complex. I could lose myself in this image for hours, constantly finding something new that I had never noticed before. This is just plain brilliant!
Fobok1 #2 (Bank Yard Sale): The flow of the image, from upper-left to lower-right makes for an easy path through the scene, while the balancing of the green objects (grass on one side, the character's clothing on the other) provides a measure of balance and equilibrium. The arrangement of props is interesting, too, offering a number of points to rest, to study, and then to move on to the next. In other words, I think it flows rather well.
Jindi #03 (Remember, It's About the Birds): A wonderfully wacky character study, that successfully combines a decidedly bizarre mix of items (and I thought my pulls were freaky!), with an interesting story. (Although, if somebody tells you that a benefit is "for the birds", they're probably being unintentionally truthful!) Excellent job!
Luci45 #5 (The Greener Pastures of Bungalow Land): You've done it again, Luci -- created a world of whimsy and color, with the most memorable characters I've ever encountered outside of a Dickens novel! The details are particularly noteworthy in this image (I especially like the rainbow and the fog effect, giving the scene a kind of 'dimensional nexus' feel to it). And "all of this will be yours one day"? Sounds suspiciously like a threat to me!
MelanieL#2 (The Endless Debate...): Love the characters, love the poses, love the interesting juxtaposition of the set-pieces, love the story. You were right: it was an odd set, but you managed to pull it together with your usual style and coherence. Nice work!
Scott-Livingston #1 (No title mentioned, but I'm going to hazard 'Invetero'): This was, I think, the most novel approach to a pull that I've seen in a long time! And it looks almost legit, too! (I'm almost tempted to search for the title on Amazon!) Well done, sir!
I hope I haven't missed any. And I'll try to stay more on top of things than I have been...! Remember that these are just my own impressions; that and about four bucks will get you vente latte at Starbucks. Your mileage may vary. Void where prohibited.
*Two can play that game, eh what!? The 'Twelve Galaxies' reference is probably the most obscure Doctor Who reference in the, erm, Twelve Galaxies. (Recursive obscure references fall into their own special category of 'You did not just say that, did you!?')
Thank you Karibou, MelanieL, and Ken for your comments!
MelanieL, the dragon image took less time than you might think... the two environments and the regenerators are stonemason products which pretty much speak for themselves, I only had the task of putting everything together
Ken, I do especially appreciate your comment on Mommy Dearest, I pretty much felt I had bombed on that one. Hopefully this does not become known as the image that cannot be unseen, lol.
Ken, I do especially appreciate your comment on Mommy Dearest, I pretty much felt I had bombed on that one. Hopefully this does not become known as the image that cannot be unseen, lol.
Oh, no; if that were the case, I'd have said something like: "...And it will haunt your nightmares forever!"
So far, that hasn't happened. At least, not to me! ;-P
Actually, the image kind of reminds me of an album cover I have: Rodd Rundgren's A Wizard, A True Star. It just has that kind of feel.
RRRR used:

BIG TROUBLE
Although I jumped on a couple right after they were posted, I managed to miss commenting on quite a few renders when things got busy. I'm going to jump back a bit here. Warning: long post ahead.
Thanks Ken and KaribousBoutique, MelanieL, Luci45 and everyone else who has commented on mine. I always love hearing everyone's impressions of what others have come up with, it's one of those things that makes RRRR fun.
@Luci45 - Fashionistos - I never know what to do with fashion poses, but this catwalk scene looks fantastic and makes me think it might be worth trying some of them out. As in all your work, all the small detail makes it and the bokeh is a great finishing touch. Madame LeZarde's Synthetic Organs - I was wondering what you'd make of a potentially gory and unpleasant pull, but should have known you'd put a whole new, much more interesting spin on it. The owl makes me laugh, and those organs are so pretty that even I might be convinced to buy some. @KenOBanion - Don't Talk to Strangers - You are getting tough pulls with this older stuff, but classic storybook scenes (especially with a twist) always appeal to me. Must see you for lessons on effects, they look amazing. - Seizing Every Opportunity... - I know you said you were glad to be done with this, but you can just feel his embarrassment in that collapsing posture. It's so tough being a teen and having to admit that those weird adults are actually related to you. - First Slumber Party... Very funny, that expression says it all! Great detail in this too. I think rather than you borrowing my ideas, I might just have borrowed one of yours by going with the teen girls in a bedroom theme. Mine aren't nearly as fun as your girls though. @HastyDave - We have cookies - Quirky and charming way to combine a very strange pull. Cleverly presented too. I didn't think of it at the time but maybe I subconsciously borrowed the poster idea from you in my latest render... - Vampire Hunter - Creepy! Very nicely lit and composed. By the way, your character's skin looks particularly good, in fact she looks like an interesting person with a tale to tell. @KaribousBoutique - Checkmate - You always have such style. Titanium's one dangerous lady, and by the looks of that smoking gun, I don't think the lack of PPE is likely to bother her. - Keepers of the Holy Teacup - Now the idea of a holy teacup tickles me. You definitely found the twist on Nearly Naked Vickies in a Temple. I have the feeling they will convert a lot of coffee drinkers, especially the men... @emsim - Stolen Christmas - This one grabbed me right away, it has all the colourful craziness and oddball characters that would make it a hugely successful TV series for kids. The expressions on the faces and those mid-action poses finish it off perfectly. @Fobok1 - Parkside Tunnel Bathhouse - Nice (and funny) storytelling here, and the 'Good, Clean Fun' blends perfectly with the set. It made me grin... but poor old Mrs Scrubbs. Bank Yard Sale - Great use of perspective, it adds to the 'curious' and slightly unsettling mood of the render, like being in a dream where things aren't quite what they seem. @Zawarkal - Mommy Dearest - While it did scare me :) this one is also daring and expressive. In this world where it's all been done before, both being unique and provoking strong reactions from viewers are real achievements. By the way, I missed you earlier in this contest because you're such an essentail part of RRRR, it would not have been the same without you and your creativity. I like that you never play it safe. How to Train Your Dragon 2045 - I commented on this one after you posted it so will just say it looks amazing, very effective blend of holographic and 'real world'. @Jaderail - Old World Excursion - Two characters, two lines of text, one great joke that I think we can all relate to. Their faces tell the story not just of that moment but a whole lifetime together. Classic RRRR, witty and fun. @Spyro - The Seeker - Gorgeous work, very atmospheric. The lighting is just beautiful, and to think this all came about because of a random pull. @Sasje - Let's Rock - EmotiGuy never looked so good! That tongue sticking out makes me giggle, and the sparkles and bokeh add to the magical, weirdly wonderful scene. Big Trouble - Big trouble for sure! It's easy to see why he's dropping his food... looks like his friend is about to get his ankle bitten too! Very nice use of these different items (especially the food, love the way he's clutching his toast.... and yes I do mean the bread item...). @Totte - Motel Security Monitor - An ingenious use of the motel and the props. Creepy but funny too! @ScottLivingston - Invetero - Strong and striking composition. I like the almost graphic look, and the contrast her hair brings.

The camera added a real challenge for me. I thought the style could work for a movie poster, so that's where I went. No postwork to the 'poster' other than the caption, so that's all toon cam.

Title: Totally the Most Romantic (Teen) Movie Ever.
You have to see it, Kayla. It's the best movie ever. What's it about? Who's the guy, he looks kinda cute. He's some guy who moves into this old house, right. Then he finds out it's haunted by the ghost of this girl and she's sooo beautiful...
OK, I hate her. Me too. So he finds out she used to live there in that same house.
Like where he lives? Spooky! Yeah, totally. She lived there but she died. She had this lamppost thingie outside but some crazy dude stole the bulb because she wouldn't be his date and she fell in the dark. And died. Oh, and that's her cat, he was sooo sad when she died.
Noooo! Poor kitty. Did you cry? I'd totally cry. The cute guy liked cats so kitty was OK after that. So, cute guy decides if he can catch a star to put in the dead girl's light, she'll come back to life. Which is totally not gonna work. Like no way, because the stars are in the sky and you can't reach them.
Unless he was an astronaut. Astronauts can go to the stars. Right. But all cute guy had was some dumb ladder. So then he falls and breaks his neck and then he's dead.
Nooo.. Yeah but it's perfect as they can be together forever.
Oh I love that ending. That's soooo romantic. Yeah, most romantic movie ever.
All 4 items used in movie poster (stars from Jewelry Boxes)
Also used: Growing Up morphs (Zev0), Reinoa Hair (AprilYSH), Pure Hair Timeless (Valea), Mall Girl (Dogz), Jeans and Shirt and Possibilities 2pc Dress(both by Aave Nainen), CDs and headphones from Valandar, shoebox from Flipmode, Sport Trainer Shoes, Parquet Floor shaders (Eva1).
Not so easy to see but other poster items were: Mil Cat Bundle, Aiko 5 with Paradise Bird Hair, Darc (Fisty, FWArt) with Basic Hair
Thank you Ken and Jindi. I like reading through everyone's comments as well because it's interesting to see the same image from different people's perspectives.
Well, I think I'm going to call this one done because I'm tired of messing with it. I did solve the "plastic water" issue by deleting the water and reloading it into the picture. Somehow it looked better after I did that. Who knows - maybe it was my eyes and not the water at all. So even though I'm not real happy with it, here it is...
:)
cool album cover, too... guess just need to think Gene Simmons for the head in mine
speaking of nightmares... I had two dark night of the soul dreams last night... nothing to do with the images, but it has been quite a long time since I've had one of these nights... hoping that means a graduation to a new level

Jindi. :) Thank you. My life was always one of being on the outside looking in. I don't know about essential, but it feels good to be welcomed.

@Jaderail "Old World Excursion" - great idea, nice expressions - the old man looks really miffed at his wife's attitude :)
@Spyro "The Seeker" - lovely render - nice composition and DOF. (Is this your first ever RRRR by the way?)
@Ken OBanion "Seizing Every Opportunity..." - nice idea though, poor kid - I bet a lot of kids could identify with that :)
@Sasje "Lets Rock" - that's great! Really clever use of EmotiGuy (I wouldn't have had a clue what to do with him if I'd pulled him)
@Luci45 "Madame LeZarde's Synthetic Organs" - brilliantly weird!
@Jindi "Remember it's about the birds" - great fun, what a show-off!
And for my 3rd Pull:
1338 = Danaides
1184 = Car Ranger
49 = Appliances Pack
1009 = Parkside High Lobby
+ LB Pull Item: 477 = M4/V4 Creature Creator Bundle
Hmmm, not sure how Danaides and Parkside High will play together ...
That's exactly what I do for RR and DNA. And I don't include freebies, either... though I do keep all my freebies in a single runtime, which I use in the Freebie challenges over in the Freepozitory here. :)(...)
cecilia.robinson #2 - My money is totally on the kitten.
This pull gave me a couple of characters in search of a set. Fortunately, my concept for the current monthly PC contest was a set in need of characters.
An artifact from an alternate universe, in which DAZ PAs are famous writers instead...
Also used:

My (as Ken would say) penultimate pull:
Old West Saloon Interior
InaneGlory's Photo Studio Lux
Gate of the Shogun
Easy Environments Greenlands
Cuban Diabolo for Genesis
This is a big groan. :grrr: I never use Luxrender, even though a have Reality and Luxus. Now I have to re-learn the basics, and wait for the oh-so-slow renders. Well, at least InaneGlory has light rigs set up. However, they are studio lights and I have three environments! One indoor and two outdoor! I think I will have to use parts and pieces or will never get this done. Should be a challenge... :bug:
Scott, this is lovely! Just like a blockbuster, though nobody knows the contents (I usually don't jump at the bestsellers).

And it's on to pull #5!
Ken, the last one is great! To put an umlaut, try coping it from Word or a similar software.
http://www.nthuleen.com/teach/misc/typingumlauts.html
Pull #2...
982 - MachPack
557 - Bow Dress and Boots
782 - V4 Elite: Reby Sky
748 3D Starter Pack - Walter
...well, that's random, all right!
...you've been remiss?
Been trying to keep up in between RL issues.
So far a lot of really nice works here.
Thank you Luci45, KaribousBoutique, MelanieL and Ken OBanion :-)

Although I jumped on a couple right after they were posted, I managed to miss commenting on quite a few renders when things got busy. I'm going to jump back a bit here. Warning: long post ahead.
Thanks Ken and KaribousBoutique, MelanieL, Luci45 and everyone else who has commented on mine. I always love hearing everyone's impressions of what others have come up with, it's one of those things that makes RRRR fun.
@Luci45 -
Fashionistos - I never know what to do with fashion poses, but this catwalk scene looks fantastic and makes me think it might be worth trying some of them out.
@KenOBanion
- Don't Talk to Strangers - You are getting tough pulls with this older stuff, but classic storybook scenes (especially with a twist) always appeal to me.
@HastyDave
- We have cookies - Quirky and charming way to combine a very strange pull.
@KaribousBoutique
- Checkmate - You always have such style.
@Fobok1
- Parkside Tunnel Bathhouse - Nice (and funny) storytelling here, and the 'Good, Clean Fun' blends perfectly with the set. It made me grin... but poor old Mrs Scrubbs.
Bank Yard Sale - Great use of perspective, it adds to the 'curious' and slightly unsettling mood of the render, like being in a dream where things aren't quite what they seem.
@Zawarkal -
Mommy Dearest - While it did scare me :) this one is also daring and expressive.
@Sasje -
Let's Rock - EmotiGuy never looked so good!
Now that I've finally caught up, here's my latest.

The elevators
The company skimp dress party took a different turn when something happened in the elevators....
:)
cool album cover, too... guess just need to think Gene Simmons for the head in mine
speaking of nightmares... I had two dark night of the soul dreams last night... nothing to do with the images, but it has been quite a long time since I've had one of these nights... hoping that means a graduation to a new level
Thanks Jindi for your comments!
