Jindi. :) Thank you. My life was always one of being on the outside looking in. I don't know about essential, but it feels good to be welcomed.

I can relate to that. But as one of the core RRRR team, you're definitely one of the in-crowd here!

Jindi, the render is delightful! You did fantastic job on bringing the teens to life as well. I wanted to make a bird's eye work, but you beat me to it :P. On another hand, nothing is wasted, because mine will feature an OC from Drakensang/The Dark Eye universe, so it shouldn't look too similar. Of course, if you deem it's too alike, I can pull it down, just tell me.

Ken, great congrats for taking your time to write all those kind and thoughtful comments. You're wonderful. As I agree with most of the contents, I'll not spam you here, but reply to yours on mine instead:

cecilia.robinson #1 - I assume; there was no tag (Let Them Burn): I really, really like this one: whimsical and apocalyptic at the same time, with just a soupcon of GEICO commercial for flavor! Sweet!

    (...)

cecilia.robinson #2 (CLASH OF MINDS): Almost painfully romantic; dark, brooding, very nearly Wuthering Heights-ish. (Well, one of those Bronte broads, anyway.) The ‘god-rays’ coming through the window lattice is an especially artistic touch, as is that splash of color provided by the flowering vine. All in all, a lovely bit of work, one that I wouldn’t hesitate to call ‘art’.

I have no words to express my gratitude, I cannot express how happy you made me. You are correct, "LET THEM BURN" is my first entry (I tagged it in the entry only thread here: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/41450/#609364). It was my first serious try at toon. I don't know if I succeeded, but I think it's not bad either. I experimented with blending both toon and realistic elements (the trees and gravel texture; gosh, I need to find a good terrain solution for DS without ruining my budget). As for the "CLASH OF MINDS", the most difficult thing was to create the proper shadows, because I couldn't do it in DS, not being sure about the background to use. I fiddled in PowerPoint and then the idea struck me. I'm still more satisfied with the gown's shadow than with the tabard's, but on another hand, the tabard is higher than the gown, so the shadow is lighter too.

Now I'm preparing a new draw. We will see what I'll get :).

    EDIT:

Please tell me, what is the maximum resolution of the work? I'm afraid I can easily exceed the limit and then I'd have to upload the work on DA for you to see it fullsize :(.

    Lottie's Shoe
    tag: luci45#6

Since Lottie left town with the dashing Frank Parker, the patrons of the Lucky R saloon have not been the same. Ed Pixton and Homer Langston sometimes spend hours gazing at a shoe left behind in the wake of her hasty departure.

This one was really arduous. I had a hard time with the light and with Luxus and Luxrender. One of these days I will learn a little more about them. I ended up layering a second render done with the same light rig in 3Dlight because the lights burned out so much no matter how I adjusted them in DS and Luxrender. Also some postwork in Photoshop and Filter Forge. (I hate the way the glasses and bottle look but I refused to use refraction 'cause I didn't want to make the render even longer. But I probably should have.)

    Old West Saloon Interior
    InaneGlory's Photo Studio Lux
    Gate of the Shogun
    Easy Environments Greenlands
    Cuban Diabolo for Genesis

    Also used:
    The Library picture frame
    Wanted Dead or Alive
Ulrich for M4 texture on Genesis
Summer Casuals Fitted Sundress with Fabricator texture
    Sash Urban Fae
    Braxton
    Doyle
    220 Expressions
Steam Cowboy for D3 MachPack textures
    Poker Face M4
Glasses and bottle - Rendo freebies retextured (I tried out so many I don't remember which ones I used)
3 Genesis with various morphs Manly men, M5, Braxton
    Poke-Away

Since there's still time, I'm going to try for a 3rd render. (This might be a record for me but I can't remember) :)

    Third pull:
    1209 - Historical Armor for V4
    1192 - DMs Courage Realm
    1218 - Primrose for S4
    1824 - Emotiguy

It seemed pretty straightforward until that Emotiguy popped up... (that's okay, I wouldn't know what to do if what I pulled all made sense together!) :-P

And Yup. This is indeed my first RRRR. Ive always watched these comps, so many wonderful creative renders, very inspiring. Its literally Improv and I can certainly see why its been such a hit. Ive been busy with many big render projects, and the time came which I felt I needed to do something fresh, then I got directed by some friends to give RRRR a shot. Will do so again :cheese:

Its says 9999kb for total file size, I think that's the total for five images in one post, it said so before too, but then the max size per image was 500kb, I think it's 1MB or so now.

Oops, let's hope it will be enough. I plan to include many details... Make third draw, hopefully it will turn into an entry...

231: HFS Races Elves (I don't know if Rendo's links are allowed here, so I'll refrain from posting them)
57: Ranger for Genesis (the set from DarioFish, not from DAZ!)
    267: http://www.daz3d.com/sylvanna-for-genesis
40: http://www.daz3d.com/summer-character-and-hair (I think I will use the hairstyle, but make the morph myself as usual)

If the full work is too big, do you allow hosting on Sta.sh or MediaFire for instance? As you know, only people who receive the link from me can see the image then.

There is no problem posting 2000x2000 images here at 80% jpeg compression quality so you wont have any problem at all.Just compress the image after rendering in Gimp or any other tool that can save jpeg images with compression.

After a long absence... I finally have the energy and, hopefully, the time to make a RRRR render *happy*

    First pull:

    671 - S.P.V. Garage

    129 - Classic Pin-Up Sitting Poses for Victoria 6

    48 - Awesome Fantasy Eyes

    196 - DAZ Horse 2 Pro Bundle

"Dangers & Dumbies - the only and original RPG system you would ever want to use!"

My third draw gave me the following:
231: HFS Races Elves (I don’t know if Rendo’s links are allowed here, so I’ll refrain from posting them)
57: Ranger for Genesis (the set from DarioFish, not from DAZ!)
    267: http://www.daz3d.com/sylvanna-for-genesis
40: http://www.daz3d.com/summer-character-and-hair (I think I used the hairstyle on the spellweaver, but I made the morph myself as usual by mixing dials from HFS Races Elves and other morph kits - Genesis Evolution, Creature Creator and Thorne's, perhaps...)

This one was a pain. It took me several hours to prepare it. My programme died at least once. Trust me, rendering was the quickest part, even though I used three figures - Gen2M (the bard and the green guy minifigure using the fantastic FW Darc, my favourite Gen2M character!), Gen2F (the rogue and her minifigure) and Genesis (all the rest)! When I saw HFS Races Elves, I knew I wanted to make something fantasy-influenced. It looks like RRRR is good for trying out different settings: my first work was toony, the second - semi-historical. Now it makes sense to have fantasy. Or rather a contemporary mess on a student's desk occupied by a fantasy bunch of dumbies (the PCs) who experience various dangers (the GM, among many).

I started with a collection of character cards for RPG purposes (I plan to use them in the unforseeable future by the way). The statistics you see written on each card are a mix between Dungeons & Dragons and my favourite RPG system, Drakensang/The Dark Eye. Why did I also include D&D? Well, the point is, TDE doesn't support dark elves. And I HAD to use the characters by DarioFish - they are fabulous! That's why there are more elves than humans. And a single dwarf, who was made with DarioFish's pack as well and refuses to stick with the typical rules, demanding to be a swashbuckler instead. Oh my, Kangrosha, why are you doing this to me?!

On another hand, D&D doesn't support those fabulous TDE professions such as metamages and spellweavers. They haven't heard about geodes either. Thus there is a mix. Anyway, thanks to all stock providers whose works I used to add the finishing touches - I wouldn't have finished the project if it hadn't been for your support. The credits for the resources used to round up the cards:
All spell effects by FrostBo (frostbo.deviantart.com)
    Skull by Zememz (zememz.deviantart.com)
Rock by Cheyenne75 (she retired from DA, but she's in our hearts nonetheless)

Grid was created using a free product from Occult Moon: http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/product/95365/11x17-Dual-Sided-Game-Map. How? I looked at the PDF, then tried to copy the grid on my project. I imported it into PowerPoint and then started to fiddle with all 3D effects. Getting it all to work was a challenge. I could have prepared the cards and then use them as textures on some primitives, but I wanted to master that tab.

Another challenge was to get the image look like a left in a rush roleplayer's desk. The miniatures tend to be garish in colour. I always use UberEnvironment lights, which tend to give the opposite results. I prefer natural colours, so I had to change my way of thinking to get into the mood - you know, bright paint, plastic trees and Chinese stands :P. I had to postwork all elements that were turned into miniatures. The stands, for instance, were provided courtesy of ePIC Generator (epicgenerator.deviantart.com). The plants are heavily-edited stock renders (mainly of Lisa's Botanicals) from Zememz (zememz.deviantart.com), Jumpfer-Stock (jumpfer-stock.deviantart.com), MaureenOlder (maureenolder.deviantart.com), Free-Stock-By-Wayne (free-stock-by-wayne.deviantart.com) and Cheyenne75. The rock by shadowdancer sits on is a stock from Cheyenne75 as well, but sadly, you cannot get it anymore as she retired from DA. Her stocks can still be used, so I did. All spell effects were created as stocks by FrostBo (frostbo.deviantart.com). The skull used in the barbarian card is a stock I got from Zememz too, just like the cauldron. I think it went okay. The box is also garish in colour and design - I have seen numerous RPG accessories and they all look like that.

The dice were especially difficult to get (polyhedral dice???), but I stumbled upon a set by Magenta-Stock (http://fav.me/d62ifnq). Others I used (http://2bgr8stock.deviantart.com/art/Purple01-114135833, http://2bgr8stock.deviantart.com/art/Green-Die-115183012 and http://2bgr8stock.deviantart.com/art/Purple08-114138675) come from 2BGR8Stock (2bgr8stock.deviantart.com). The only normal ones are from Microsoft cliparts collection I have the licence for.

The picture I am posting here is a smaller version to meet the limit. The full version with all the details is in a private Sta.sh file here: http://sta.sh/09a0acgb0ll. The cards are here: http://sta.sh/01nu3lx8i5sa. Feel free to check them out too. There are thirteen character archetypes from the following professions:
    - barbarian
    - bard
    - druid
    - fighter
    - metamage (three variations)
    - monk
    - paladin
    - ranger
    - rogue
    - shadowdancer
    - sorceress
    - spellweaver
    - swashbuckler

Okay, that was long. If you're still reading it, a bow to you! Sit down and drool at the males, envy them, do whatever you wish. Feci, quod potui - faciant meliora potentes!

I must admit, this was really a funny one :) the idea came to my mind and I was giggling half the time when I made this render :) I was considering using shaders on the garage, since it doesn't come out very well. Which is strange as I knwo i used it before and it worked well *ponders* anyhow, I didn't use shaders in the end but still wonder if I should had :)

Thanks, Totte, Ken, JIndi, MelanieL, KaribousBoutique. You want some synthetic organs, huh? You'll have to buy from Madame LeZarde if you can find her. (She is the lizard lady with the cigarette.)

Thank you, Ken, for taking the time to make your wonderful comments. When you do this I always read them all and go back and look at what I've missed in many of the renders. It also makes me feel very good about my own. Thanks so much.

Jindi #3 I love it! Great expressions!
MelanieL #2 Wow, that's quite a crowd! Did they come up with an answer?
Scott-Livingston, Nice book cover! Invetero looks nice, one of the few of Jack Tomalin's I don't have.
Ken OBanion #4 That's great. Ken! I love the teenage girl air conducting in skimpwear. Who else would think of that? Or maybe I should say, who ele would render it?
Sasje#3 Haha, I love it! Looks like big trouble for sure!
Jindi#4 I love this one - Very nice composition, point-of-view and use of your pulled stuff.
emsim #2 This one is funny. We all have such crazy runtimes. Great use of the pull. The water is good enough - it is so hard to do good water and especially from that angle with a shoreline.
Totte#5 I love the posing, expressions, the guy in the orange-blonde hair and the dragon in the elevator. Nothing like getting caugt in skimwear and high heels when the monsters show up.
Totte #7 Hehe, this is a good one. I love the posing and the glwing camels.
cecilia.robinson #3 Wow, that is impressive! I looked at the very large original too. Wow! Nice job and lots of work, as you said.
Carola O Hi Carola, good to see you back! Yes, he is quite a charmer. It is wonderful how combining stuff from our oh-so-diverse runtimes can make us giggle.
emsim #3 LOL, she looks a bit surprised. Nice one!
Sasje #4 Follow me, huh? I don't hink I would. I don't know if the herdbeast can handle the dogs.
MelanieL #3 That is hilarious!!! I love you weird fauns and demon guy. Looks like they weren't too happy either about being discovered.

My last pull, which is kind of done, but I might do something else to it because it isn't quite right:
    Amazonian Antshrike (m/f)
    The Steeple
    Garden Pavillion
    Tale Hero
    Under the Bridge

And yes I've been very remiss in keeping up with everything here...

@Scott-Livingston "Invetero" cover - that's really neat, and you killed two (competition) birds with one stone :)
@Ken OBanion "First Slumber Party" - I love the conductor-girl - I knew someone just like that!
Thanks for your comments too - you really are too kind :red:
@Sasje "Big Trouble" - I love that one - the guard dropping his dinner is a lovely touch.
"Follow Me" - lots going on there, and good animal poses. I love the heroic sword with the flashes of light too!
@Jindi "Totally the Most Romantic..." - neat way to use the Toon Camera if you're not really a "toon-y" person. The story to go with it is really funny - nice posing too.
And thanks for your comments on my previous one - I always wonder if I'm going for overkill with my lists of products used.
@emsim "Beach Battle Bingo" - just when she thought it was safe to go back on the beach... makes a (weird) change from sharks I guess
"The Final Challenge" - those metal shaders look good - I like the way you managed to fit Emotiguy in there!
@Totte "The elevators" - I do like your concept of a skimp dress party! Kind of taking dress-down-Friday a bit far?
"For she, I give five Camel" - nice idea, and those fire-camels are really interesting
@Luci45 "Lottie's Shoe - maybe you found the technicalities tricky, but the result is really lovely - the central man has a wonderfully wistful look on his face.
@cecilia.robinson "Dangers & Dumbies" - I know next to nothing about RPG so I'm not sure I understood all the text, but I like the result - it looks like a lot of work went into that one.
@Carola O "A Man and His Donkey" - yes, I can see why you'd giggle - that pose is just so OTT!

    My 4th Pull:

    829 = Parkside Heath
    1700 = The Clock Collection
    1630 = Crocodilia 1 Alligator and Caiman
    1367 = The FREAK 4 Skin Maps 01
+ LB Pull Item: 2043 = Ricardi Hairstyle

Hehe, I was wondering if it might be 42. %-P

Thanks, I struggled with those lights. But now I want to learn Luxus. The expressions were combinations of different ones in Smay's 220 Emotions for Genesis. I don't remember if I put that on the list.

    ...excellent piece there.

Looking at all the submissions and then looking over at the one I am working on, this is going to be a tough one.
