@Luci45 - thanks for the comments - we sort of cross-posted (I was away reviewing the last 4 pages of posts!)
For #2, the answer was of course 42

Hehe, I was wondering if it might be 42. %-P

Thanks, I struggled with those lights. But now I want to learn Luxus. The expressions were combinations of different ones in Smay's 220 Emotions for Genesis. I don't remember if I put that on the list.
Oh wow, I've got the 220 Emotions but didn't recognise them! As for Luxus, I bought that too in a fit of enthusiasm and after a couple of not-very-good tries pretty much dropped it - maybe one day...

Thanks ;-) I got an odd pull, and that makes odd renders, and I always tries to add a twist to it.

..so did I. Seem to get a lot of multiple picks of sets all the time.

Yes I actually will have something to post (once I deal with a small surfacing issue).

I wish to take this time to say everyone who has played this round of RRRR so far has really pushed the contest to new limits. The quality of entries and quantity as well have really surprised me. A hearty well done so far to all and I'll say I'm not looking forward to voting time when it gets here. I wish to thank everyone as well for the kind words on my few entries. Some of them, well all really, gave me much joy and told me my intended out come was made with my renders. This one took me by surprise. The rolls looked so bland and easy to do until it came to the doing phase. Then I found myself trying this idea and tossing it out for another, then tossing it out again. I'm not sure any more just how many false start's this one had. I finally tried one that started clicking with me and here it is.

Every time I visit the thread, I see more hilarious and entertaining entries! Great.

    MelanieL said:
@cecilia.robinson "Dangers & Dumbies" - I know next to nothing about RPG so I'm not sure I understood all the text, but I like the result - it looks like a lot of work went into that one.
@Carola O "A Man and His Donkey" - yes, I can see why you'd giggle - that pose is just so OTT!

    (...)

    My 4th Pull:

    829 = Parkside Heath
    1700 = The Clock Collection
    1630 = Crocodilia 1 Alligator and Caiman
    1367 = The FREAK 4 Skin Maps 01
+ LB Pull Item: 2043 = Ricardi Hairstyle

Wow, thank you! Yeah, it took me hours... But I learnt how to handle fake dimensioning better. If you'd like me to explain anything - please speak up, I'd be delighted to! Regarding your pull, I hear the ominous ticking... Is the Peter Pan beast approaching?

cecilia.robinson #3 Wow, that is impressive! I looked at the very large original too. Wow! Nice job and lots of work, as you said.

Thank you so much! I am very happy. I wasn't sure if I should show this one, because it was sooo big (next time I'll probably not render the characters either 2000x1000 or 1000x2000, but I will release them as stocks, I guess, so DA would require such big resolutions anyway). I'm glad I did though. Did you have a look at the separate cards?

I'm falling behind again on commenting but lots of giggles from the latest batch.

@Luci - Lottie's Shoe - You've made it funny but somehow moving at the same time. Lottie must have been quite some woman. I like the glimpse we get of her in the portrait.
    - Under the Bridge - Looks like a great place to visit, I love the flitting birds and that background vignette.
@Totte - For she, I give 5 camel - You always know how to make me laugh! The boyfriend looks thoughtful... I hope he's not seriously going to take up this offer...
    - John and Jack Had to Stay Behind - Impressive render. That fire looks like it could scorch me from here.
@cecilia.robinson - Dangers and Dumbies - wow, amazing detail and very nicely put together to bring a clever concept to life. I've never been into RPG but this beautiful set could convince me...
@CarolaO - A Man and His Donkey - more giggles at Ferdibrand striking a pose! Fun and funny.
@emsim - The Final Challenge - She looks suitably dumbfounded! Nice bit of irony and a great character.
@Sasje - Follow Me - That herdbeast makes me laugh, an action-packed scene with lots of interesting detail, cool stuff.
@MelanieL - Knocking Through - The expressions are priceless and the caught-in-action poses of the 'guys next door' add to the drama.
@Jaderail - Cliff Hanger - Aptly named! You can feel the tension, especially with that perspective that has us craning our necks and longing for solid ground. He's a pretty big guy to be whining about the rain though!
@Scott-Livingson - Shopping with Walter - Great way to find the funny in a tough pull. The background character made me grin too, definitely some crazy mixing and matching going on at that sale.

    ---

I don't know if I'll get this done in time but my latest pull is:
    Jindi #05
    174 Iyeyasu's Tomb
    50 Aging Moprphs for G2F
    329 Shades of Life Nature
    19 Flails of Power

@Luci45 "Under the Bridge" - another great one, I love the twilight-y lighting and the careful little touches like the motion blur on the bird.
@Totte "John and Jack had to stay behind" - those flames look pretty fierce - do the "boys" like their meat really really well done?! Nice idea again.
@Jaderail "Cliff Hanger" - you've made that garden woodwork fit in really well there. Great idea too.
@Scott-Livingston "Shopping with Walter" - really funny - poor old Walter, it's never wise for a man to offer style advice to a woman, even if he is only a clip art character!
@cecilia.robinson - mmm, I think I'm getting too old to pick up RPG-ing! And grrr, you've guessed my plan for pull number 4 exactly!
@Jindi - thanks, I liked the idea of the demons being as surprised/appalled as the humans.

Nobody is, my friend :). It is simply playing [insert your character] with friends around a table with some snacks - all those systems are very varied and lots are free, so I am sure you could have some fun time. It is all about telling a story with the players acting out their playable characters (PCs) and the game master - GM - all the rest from non-playable characters you interact with (NPCs), monsters (if there are any) as well as describing the setting and making various obstacles for you to surpass.

    Pull #4:
1083 - Wrist Watches (I don't remember where I got this but I'm guessing Rendo)
478 - Pretty Basics Ballerina Flats
    1616 - The Priestess for V4 & Genesis
    2017 - NRH Vulcan

Also used: Atardecer, Adeline Hair, Streets, Baroque Grandeur Poses, Mosquito, Jepes FlameZ, and you probably can't see them because M4 is in the cockpit but Captain Runner and K-Nicky Hair.

I hope there aren't too many glaring mistakes in this one because I'm not going to render it again. Every now and then I get the wild idea to see how much I can push my computer and tell it to use higher settings like raytracing, depth of field, raytracing in the depth of field, higher quality settings... you get the idea. So while it was running this render I had time to finish my coffee, take a nap, brush one of our dogs (a high energy Gordon setter - no small feat), repeatedly wrestle with our sweet but vindictive cat when she wanted to stomp on my keyboard and then play a couple of silly games on my phone before it finished.

I've been off the forum for a bit while I pursued other activities, so I have a bit of catch-up to do...

Ken OBanion: Thanks for the comment on my picture. I tend to get a little "playful" with the color settings of my lights, trying for different moods and effects, and I also like the slight sense of unreality that comes from a bit of high contrast.

Totte (#5): Interesting way to get a sense of communication into the image, with the ethereal camels. Neat trick.

cecilia.robinson (#3): Fun image. It really looks like it could be a promo for tabletop gaming.

luci45 (#7): That is a fantastic image. The depth of field, the expressions, the realistic poses on both foreground and background characters and all the background activity... that is really terrific.

Numbchucks from Dragonspace.com (appear to no longer be listed)
Sooth Slayer from the old Daz Free Archive
Millennium Kids - Young Teens http://www.daz3d.com/millennium-kids-young-teens
    N1 Interceptor http://www.daz3d.com/n1-interceptor

...Hmm. That was looking plausibly easy right up until that last one.

Pull as quoted above. I couldn't see a reasonable way to work the Interceptor in as a ship. Then I realized that if stuck on a good staff (LynX in this case), it made for an interesting trident. And yes, I reused the same ninja from the previous image. He was convenient, given the 'chucks.

    Also used:
    LynX (staff)
    Laura MFD
    Faery Tales
Hooded Cloak for Luke and Laura
    Miki Hair
    Tales of Adventure
    Tales of Adventure 3
    Aredhel Ar' Tariena clothing pack
    Dangerous
    Dazzling Gaze
    Ode to Dragons
    M3 Base skin texture
Pizzaria Italia (marble shader preset on the Sooth Slayer)
    Abraxas
    David 3
    Defenders of D'Akir
    TAPP (The Action Pose Project)
    Wood Shaders
    Ultimate Shader Pack/Fast Metal
    Real Emotions: David
    Real Emotions: Stephanie

I am very pleased, thank you! Of course, this is a mockup of famous systems, especially Dungeons and Dragons... it was played for laughs.

On a general note, thanks and congrats to all participants and the judges (I don't envy your position, so many works and each is unique!). It was one load of a great fun. Awesome! And the fact we we left the freedom of deciding the theme was also fantastic. I'd like to participate in the upcoming ones and hopefully throw in some humble prize!
