came home to more weirdness today. the family living upstairs went on vacation. her mom was supposed to come over to feed their cat and stuff. but her son (early 20's i think) is upstairs. i came home, pulled the string for the gate latch and it was stuck. i can't see over the gate, so i tried to feel to pull the latch and found a padlock. so i screamed at the house, the son comes out, he opens the gate and says the lock is there cause the police are messing with him. so i'm like locked in, i have to knock upstairs to get him to let me out, or let pizza delivery in.

i can't believe a word of it. first of all,if the police want to mess with you, a padlock isn't going to stop them. he has a young woman upstairs who is not the mother of his child, but that doesn't explain the lock.

yesterday there was the person sitting on pete's truck asking me if i was pete's grandma, and after that he said pete said there was no one home.
then there was the thing 4th of july asking me for a stamp. now i'm thinking he was just looking to find out if i was home.

    i don't understand what's going on.

    That sounds like a pretty uncomfortable situation to be in Misty - hope it comes to a peaceful resolution soon. I guess asking for a key is out of the question (assuming the lock is there for the reason I suspect the lock is there)... plus it sounds like you can't reach it from the outside anyway -_-;

{{hugs}} to everybody that needs them \(~_~)/

...sounds like something ungood may be going on. Is this an apartment complex/building or a home split into separate living units?

If I were you I'd tell him to lose the padlock or you'll help the police mess with him. You pay rent there. You have a right of access. That padlock removes your right of access. What if there were an emergency? Don't let people do that to you. If you let it go, it will get worse.

I would say call her, and say you are considering calling the police about this. Or just call the police.

Tried an old DS3 scene in DS4.6 - had to transfer over my data/ directory to be able to load the .daz scene file... analysing the logfile now to see what got lost -- any thoughts?

Turophobia is the fear of cheese.
Now that I know that, I'm trying to picture how that fear would manifest itself.
Most of the things I'm afraid of could chase me down and kill me. That doesn't seem like something cheese would do.
I suppose that if I ate too much cheese for a long enough period, it could lead to clogged arteries and a stroke or heart attack, but I take a medication to control my cholesterol levels. I'm cautious about my intake of foods that are high in cholesterol, but I don't think that constitutes an unreasonable fear, just common sense.
In a world of wide-ranging possibilities, I imagine I could walk under a crane that was lifting a very large wheel of cheese and have that accidentally fall on me, but that seems unlikely.
I suppose I could be struck and killed by a cheese delivery van...but you couldn't really blame that on the cheese.

Now bears, I am afraid of bears. Black bears have been seen wandering near where I live. Those can chase you down and kill you (although that is fairly rare).

I wonder if bears like cheese?

    Don't forget Vue, and 3DCoat :)

    Still use Mojoworld sometimes

I'm probably going to end up with LW.. I've used LW in the past, the renderer is fast and clean, Modeler doesn't make me want to puke and the various effects are great out of the box.

My other option is just to do the Wings/DS thing, work on Webcomics for personal fun, and not worry any more. Just make FISH!

Fishie fishie fishie fishieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :red: :red:

Wings is a pretty good polygon modeller. Spline and NURBs take patience and a look ahead workflow you only really start to grasp when you got some experience pushing polygons, you don't want to worry about stuff like that :)

Heh, I've just realised my DS4 content directory has become rather forgetful after the emergency HD replacement of last week - missing 90% of the directories (>_<). Going to have to clean out and reinstall methinks -_-. btw original scene was using omHumanSurface shader (which along with my entire Shader subdir is conspicuous by it's absence o.o)... although the log didn't show any complaints about missing shader files <(`.`).</p>
