It's a little pond but I think you're on to something really BIG here. Looking forward to fishes by Troutface.
I'm probably going to end up with LW.. I've used LW in the past, the renderer is fast and clean, Modeler doesn't make me want to puke and the various effects are great out of the box.
My other option is just to do the Wings/DS thing, work on Webcomics for personal fun, and not worry any more. Just make FISH!

Wings is a pretty good polygon modeller. Spline and NURBs take patience and a look ahead workflow you only really start to grasp when you got some experience pushing polygons, you don't want to worry about stuff like that :)
Eventually I really want LW, I'm so used to the way Modeler works I think I could make a fish without a ton of practice.. But for now.. Wings it is.. I'm a broke trout. :down:

The coloration is..meh. Body shape is good but needs morphs for striped bass, smallmouth, etc.
It's fine but not as.. bassy.. as it could be!

My career plan is like this:
- Learn to model fish that look like fish, for DS
- Give them away
- Make weird renders for fun n amusement
- Make meditational music/soundscapes, sell for $1.99 for an hours worth of music
- Work on my memoirs off and on when I'm not doing other things
- Get healthy!!

It's Saturday, and there's no such thing as a day without some COMPLAINTS! This *IS* the complaint thread, after all...
- Biscuit got cold while I was downloading content
- Coffee got cold while I was eating a cold biscuit
- Internet connection is freaking SLOW today
- Even stripping ut my V4 and M4 characters I have too much content
- Have to learn to make my own characters
- Modeling a fish isn't as easy as it sounds, fishies are tricksy
- I need a better modeler
- I need talent and skill
- I need more coffee
- Already too hot to go outside
- I need a shower, wish-wash, fish-wash
- Bands don't start until 8PM tonight, waah
Non-complaints!
- Wings 3D is pretty intuitive for me, I actually made a few throwaway mechanical gears, it was fun!
- Now have an excuse to buy color encyclopedias of FISHIES! :cheese:
- Found some extra money, bought shaders
- Having fun with the snapping turtle.. now to add Mike to the mix (heh heh poor Mike)
- Will send out for Chinese for lunch and dinner! Yaay curry chicken!
That's it so far (lol)

complaint: The folder that contains the textures for Emotions for Teen Josie is gone. I don't know what happened. I see the .duf files in the content pane though. I need to reinstall Emotions.
