Well, consider this...is it tomorrow? No, it's today. One minute to midnight, it's today. One minute after midnight, it's still today. It's always today! Dana
And here is another cool fact, no matter where you go there you are. This one works everywhere because well, there you are.

To actually have a truffle I have to have that be my one-every-two-months real sugar item. Is it worth it to lose two pounds a month, thus taking two years to reach my goal weight? Maybe, maybe not, but it's worth it to be in control. Sustainable weight loss is a thing, but it doesn't give you that "I'm a different size than I was last month!" rush that crash dieting does.

My other complaint is that I woke up at 4:45 and couldn't go back to sleep, but that happens around once a week. If I ever hear the words "sleep hygiene" from a person's mouth I want to slap them. My circadian rhythm is syncopated and not susceptible to training, and I thank God every day for this job and setting my own hours.

You know what else I'm thankful for, is this no-sugar-added hot chocolate. A packet of this in the morning coffee makes a "poor man's mocha" and a very nice start to the day.

Just got back to the office from the safety meet - it was about knee awareness and getting out of the large city vehicle correct and with a movie on a full knee replacement surgery @_@
    Made my knees cringe

Darn it, there's a stupid fly in my office that I can't find to swat but keeps buzzing me

I'm thank full I'm alive. I'm not thank full at all that my diet includes ZERO Chocolate ate at all as it is the one food on earth that could kill me the fastest from just eating reasonable amounts. And the Second most deadly food on my list? Ice Cream. Now do not get me wrong here, I'm in no way saying you should not enjoy your choco' and Ice Cream. That's why they make it, for people to enjoy. But you just try the way I did to stop. Do not coast, or roll to a stop, do it all at once. Slam on those breaks while running in 5th gear wide open, for 47 years never once avoiding that bag of heaven called M&M's. Hit those breaks so hard the front of the car noses under and the only thing holding you in the car is the seat belt or you would just pop out through the windshield. Now sit there, right there. Nothing you do gets that car rolling again. I WANT my M&M's back darn it!! JUST those!! Nothing fancy just a lil' round thing really...

I know what it's like. :( Not being able to be killed by it, and you have all my sympathy for that. But quitting cold turkey, you bet. I ate sugar three or four times a day, four or seven hundred calories a day, for years and years, then I quit. I had shakes, chills, headaches - I had the kind of withdrawal symptoms addicts have. It lasted for about a month. If I eat sucrose in any amount more than once every month or two - more than is in a ketchup packet, say - it comes back. I hate myself that I let it get to that point, and it's important to me to never let it happen again.

in other complaints, i feel like people are talking at me, not too me.

and when i say something like, we need N92 rated respiratory masks for technicians using spray paint, is like i'm talking vapor. meanwhile was the big safety audit this week, so the safety people are here, but doesn't seem anyone is interested in N92 rated respiratory masks. feels like iz like safety = lawsuit safety.

Are you wondering only about Federal Income Tax/State and Local Income taxes, or payroll taxes (Social Security and Medicare) as well? And do you have any pre-tax deductions from your wages, such as a 401k or cafeteria plan?

I save out 25 percent for my tax withholding. There's an additional tax for being self-employed that makes up the amount I would otherwise save from other stuff.

Payroll taxes alone should be around 7%. To calculate the total, add up the taxes (only, not 401k, etc) and divide by the gross pay. Given that a fair number of people are in the 10-15% effective tax bracket for FIT, and you live in New York, that doesn't seem too high to me. But then, what do I know? I only prepare Federal Tax returns for a living...

Well... sort of. You see, when you have an employer, they pay an additional amount equal to your social security and medicare withholding, on your behalf. When you work for yourself, you are both the employer, and the employee, so you have to pay both halves. BUT... they let you deduct half of that from your income for determining what is subject to FIT, since as the employee it never would have been counted in income to begin with.

Perhaps because it is true... unless you are talking about a CHOCOLATE truffle, which derives its name from similarity in shape to the fungus...

That does depend on who you are trying to sell them to. I'll pay a lot more for the chocolate variety... never did like fungus.

I have JUST enough money to buy it.. OR..

I can get other, more useful things because A6/V6 aren't in need of toast THAT badly, and it'd make Mike more mad.

From what I've heard of your plans, Mike doesn't need toast. He IS toast...
