I have Poser 11 but I see most new Daz stuff doesnt work with Poser anymore so now I need to learn Daz3D and im not gonna lie, it terrifies me. LOL Ive been buying lots of new content but I havent started yet since my eyesite is not great. I need surgery to help with that. So eventually ill be rendering full force if I can figure out Daz Studio.

Who are you? What inspires your artistic aspirations? Is Meatloaf your favorite food or favorite musician? What makes you the unique and lovable individual you are?

Meatloaf... as a musician, pretty decent. I've heard few better. Some, of course; that's the ay of things. someone is always better.

So drop on by, pull up a chair, and fill us in. We'd be very pleased to meet you!

My name's Roger, and I'mhaving a difficult time logging in. I've been a member for years, but recently changed compuiters. All my passwords temporarily have disappeared, until  reset them. trouble is, reset seems to not work on daz3d.com. It loses the new password in seconds.

Open a support ticket - you can do that without logging in, though you will then have to go through the usual captcha routine.

  • Hi, I'm Noni

I'm a new DAZ user and want to pose 3D models into scenes, take snapshots of them and put them in a graphic novel.

I have a ton of questions, dabbled in Blender a bit before, so I figure buying assets and tweaking them would not be too different. I have yet to learn the software and best practices though, so it will be a learning curve to get going. Looking forward to this forum! I just wish there was an active Discord channel.

    Hi.

    My name is Jim.

Does anyone know what these Parameter details are?

"M", Link, Bottle?  The others I know.

    Thank you.

  • hi mates, I am also new here and found this community so helpful and interesting..

  • gecko89gecko89 Posts: 36

I'm Dave. I started drawing my own cartoons in 1984. I was a local celebrity in the late 80s/early 90s because of the two bands I was in at the time.

I have synesthesia, which means my senses overlap. I can see music and taste colors and things I like that. I didn't know that was unusual until I was 17 years old

and I tried to explain that the bass wasn't purple enough and the drums sounded too furry. And everyone just looked at me.

In some cases this can be an advantage. In some cases it is a liability.

I also love animals and dabble in geology.

Hello, my name is Tony, hence my nickname Nyto... I discovered Daz over 15 years ago and used it for video production. Life has made me give up Daz to devote myself solely to video production... but today, following a lot of health problems, I had to stop video in the field to devote myself to telework. .. a chance because I was suddenly able to return to my first passion, 3D.

So I took over Daz... because the software has improved a lot over the years and I would be happy to be part of the store. I mainly work on Blender 3.0, I do the textures on Substance Painter and finish in post-production in Photoshop. If you want to discover my work in 3D and photo montage, it's here: https://www.photo-illustration.fr or https://www.tony-duarte.com

    Well, have a nice day.

Você pode me ajudar nessa situação? Fico grato na ajuda!!

  • Alright, here goes. Call me RJ. I am an old man who has worked with his brain and hands his entire life. In recent years I've been disabled by acquired physical defecits, as well as some mental ones (memory: hypoxia). Last summer/fall I was working with DAZ/Blender when I came to the conclusion my hardware wasn't up to the task. I took a break. I've upgraded (Win 10 is crap, BTW). My hardware is still dated by most standards. I've noticed that the 100 plus hous spent on YouTube was wasted, as I don't remember a thing.

  • Well .... I try I never managed to get this software to work, I guess it must be good given its popularity.

  • Hi guys. I'm fairly new to Daz and don't even know if I'm in the right place. But I do need some help. I'm rendering my scenes ATM but from time to time I get a 'rendor error' msg or 'Renderer in use' msg. Can someone tell me what it means and how do I fix the problem so I can keep rendering.

  • Greetings DAZ community...

My name is Brian, but my handle is NecromancerB or BrianTheNecromancer(Steam). I have been a PC, user, builer and gamer since 1985...wow, I just took that in. Mostly hrdware and networking education, I have never coded or whatnot.

I am primarily a musician by nature and an amateur writer. I stick to novellas pertaining to real life or horror themes. I am looking forward to gaining some new skill which may enable me to produce Virtual Novels, etc. based on my story ideas.

I hope I learn a lot here and pick up some friends or perhaps partners in development along the way...

    Cheers!

  • Hi name is Anton, I live in the land down under, but originally from America.  I have been into art, since I was 12, mostly pencil and charcoal, never thought much else.  But with the art, it got set to the side for many years, mostly due to being in the military and moving around alot,a nd having other interest, the art really suffered.  I enjoy just about all kinds of art. Now that I'm getting older and closer to retirement all I want to do is art, but still struggling with finding the time.  A few years I stumbbled upon Daz Studio, got really excited about, but as life would have it, time eludes me again.

  • Introduction thread? Sure why the hell not. I'm extremely new to this only got Daz last week and have been playing with it a tiny little bit when I'm not obsessively playing Hogwarts legacy. Almost done with that though so I'm going to find much more time to dedicate to this. I do have some experience like 15 years ago with poser but I didn't do anything extremely complicated with that. Just some basic scenes. I had my most fun with the.. well.. posing. I still am not too shabby at that.
  • Hi, my name is Tallulah, I downloaded Daz tonight. I'm an avid creator and enjoy doing ANYTHING (ANYTHING AT ALL) creative. I look forward to sharing my creations and getting to know some of you (yes, I posted this SOOO early, I haven't even finished the download XD)

Anyway, I hope we all can get to know each other better and have fun creating and sharing!

  • Hi, I'm Mary. I'm from Texas. I work in automation for a health insurance company.

Long ago (15+ years) I was an avid Poser user and sold characters and texture packs on Renderosity. I have unfortunately lost a lot of my old work as I cannot find my work on Renderosity anymore. But that may be a good thing as it gives me a fresh start.

I love all things gothic and metal (music.) I play video games some, although not as much as I used to, thanks to some mental issues caused by multiple sclerosis. I live for concerts.

I'm not real good at these things... But I did my best :)

Hello everyone, my name is Teobaldo, I am 57 years old and I am Chilean. I used Bryce years ago in a version that came free in a 3D magazine. Now I bought it and resumed the taste for a program that I thought had disappeared.

3D attracted me years ago and, although I had abandoned it since approximately 2010, I am resuming this interesting hobby. I don't pretend to be a professional by any means, just have fun and learn some things along the way.

Hello, my name is Rolf and I 've been using iclone for a large video  project and I want to start using other animation programs, as iclone has proven to be a bit of a disappointment. (edit) I had a question here, but realized it fit better in a different forum, so I moved it there.

Now I'm switching to DS because it seeme to have more helpful tutorials. I have written quite a few stories and hope to turn some of the long ones into graphic novels, shorts into kidlit pictures books. I. Live on Martha's Vineyard where are lots of artists but I haven't found other 3D enthusiasts. I'm hoping to share experiences and maybe advice here. Thanks!

Help please. Attempting to teach myself opened DAZ studio and clicked on Quick Start. It opened on a scene with a dancer and stopped, no video or words. How do I start the action?
