Well, I'm sold on the Melitta Bamboo device.. will buy next Payday, with a pile of filters. :cheese:

I'll find a mug and some decent coffee, probably online as this is the Midwest we're talking about, Rolling Rock is considered a high-end beer... :blank: :blank:

I have to take the bus 40 minutes one-way to get decent beer.. for crying out loud.. *cry* *cry*

...I take it HEB is the big market chain there as well.

Have you tried Mecca Coffee Co. 134 E 41st st?. They seem to have some reasonable prices for high quality coffee by the pound theyonly seel bulk coffe and have no cafe of their own. .

Another is Topeca with several shops in the area. However, they seem a bit more "exclusive" thus more expensive.

Finally there's Java Dave's with several locations in Tulsa. Dave's gets some good ratings for their coffee shops, one I read by a transplant from the "coffee mecca" of Seattle who says even the Starbucks shops there can't get it right.

The 222CC goes down 41r, will have to look for it.. :red:

    I'll scan for Daves

Ok, the video is up on YouTube! Needs some sound effects, that's later this weekend.

    Tentacles in Motion: http://youtu.be/bP5o-VcHkao

    :vampire:

...ooh writhing glowing tentacles. Very nice.

Also found this on the same page. Now here's what happens when an engineer has far too much time on his hands..

Amazing that it actually does all the folding as well.

    Paper Airplane Machine Gun

    AMAZING!! :bug: :bug:

...basically it employs a mini version of an "in-line" industrial paper folder like print shops and binderies use. The company I worked for had one like pictured below.

That's pretty cool, I had no idea such a thing existed!!! :cheese:

Today is complete, I learned a new thing. :)

Computer slow - rendering the tentacle anim at 640x480.. holy carp, 20 minutes a frame! :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh:

20 minutes times 300 frames, OMG OMG, 100 HOURS.. OVER 4 DAYS.. :ahhh: :ahhh:

That does it, I'm saving for a new laptop, this will NOT DO!

...sounds like you need my "dream machine" built on a server MB with two Xeon 12 core hyperhteading processors 768GB of memory an nVidia QuadroK6000 (with 12GB VRAM) and Tesla compute unit to speed up the calculations.

    ...unfortunately not very "portable".

I've been looking at MSI gaming rigs - lots of RAM and GPU, kick ass i7 specs.. 17 inch screen.. but this means weeks without going out :-S

...make sure they have full flow through cooling with intake vents in the front and exhaust ports in the back. As you know, rendering puts a huge strain on the CPU and in that tightly packed an environment without proper cooling you could literally cook the poor thing to death (that happened with an old overclocked HP notebook I had) . A good part of the reason I was getting so many render crashes on my duo core Toshiba notebook (which only has the usual left side vent) was due to exceeding the CPU's temperature parameters. On the other hand, because of all the "breathing space and fans the workstation has, it rarely breaks 62° C even during the most "intense" render jobs.

Morning. A preview of summer here this weekend, yesterday's zombie walk was incongruous as it staggered its undead way through sun drenched streets under a big bright blue sky, quite the opposite of a zombie apocalypse

    Random Thought #907:
There are five toes on each foot.
There are four fingers and a thumb on each hand.
(To the differently-digited: please do not feel insulted.)
All the toes are called "toes". The largest is commonly known as the "big toe".
Shouldn't the thumb logically be called the "big finger"?

The whole thing seems overly arbitrary to me.
    Thank you for your time.

Shakespeare would "bite his thumb" at someone he wished to insult, while we would give them the finger, How come no one curses with their toes?

Because it's so difficult to bite one's own toes?

    Especially if you're wearing shoes.

Is warming up here. City is clogged with marathon runners, is the hottest day for quite a while so the marathoners are looking a little like the zombie shufflers did yesterday

Now Google Maps is slow. Maybe I should use Yahoo maps or Mapquest to find the location of the Trax Station in Draper, Utah.

ok.. found the location on the map. Maybe I should take the FrontRunner train to go south. Too sleepy to do anything else. Furnace is on because it is cold outside. Later everyone.

...urgh...Job search website lists a position I'm fully qualified for but won't let me attach an updated resume. Tried to go in though their front page to update my profile, but there is no logon anywhere.

No wonder people have such difficulty finding jobs and getting hired.

Be sure to go trick or treating at AtticAnne's place. She might have a puppy for you. :)

tee hee. I'm down to only one Chihuahua. Chuy's 13, mostly blind and deaf, and definitely not getting rid of him. I do have a kitten that I wouldn't mind re-homing.

going through my product history, 2 more dragon kings to charaterize. the red dragon king isn't a red head, he's studly blond, blonde skin tone narrows the choices. gold dragon king doesn't gold hair, more a brown with copper highlights. i haven't actually tried a m4 skin on m6, hoping the eyebrows aren't unwieldly stretched.

I took a look at that Gun too. Thank God I don't have one. My 9-yr old grandson already goes through 2 reams of paper a month making paper airplanes by hand. I liked the tentacles and will return to see them with music.
