Drachenlords, thanks for the observations. I think I accidentally have the mirror plane fall down onto the floor, because there is really only one person in the render. I will revisit the scene and see what went wrong. Since the mirrors are all instances of one item, the same error occurs in all. Your last entry is a very nice colourful work.

Spuddy: thanks also. However, your observation is incorrect, because there is actually only one table so what we see in the left hand mirror is indeed a reflection. And the table is next to the lady and not really behind her.

    mermaid010, adbc, Yellow Pen, Thanks.

adbc: wonderful picture. I love the colour of the floor (or is it water) in the otherwise monochrome render.

Here is the corrected version of the render and my first entry. It appeared that there was a beam beneath the mirror that I had acidentally given a full reflective surface instead of a wooden texture. Now this is repaired. I also changed the light a bit, but that is not very visible, I think.

    Entry # 1 Phenomenon 7

As I was rendering one of my Strange Objects, When an unexpected incidence occurred. I put a Radial light with a multi colored gradient  inside it.   When I added an infinite volume cloud slab, the light rays became visible. No volume light was set up on the light or sky. The light setting are ( Infitive, Gradient. Falloff None.)  I'm thinking that the visible rays are possible because they are passing thru the volume of the slab.  I have tried to reproduce this effect but no success. In my 20 plus years of using Bryce this is the 7th time Bryce has render out an effect that not only surprised me but eludes my knowledge of how it's is done. So the name Phenomenon 7. I feel it suits this challenge because it's the magic of Bryce.

Adbc - your simply smoke and mirrors is fantastic, love the contrast between the monochrome and colored ground.

Hansmar - the 2nd version is looking good.

S Ray - wow that awesome, excellent light rays

Hansmar - ah yes, I was a bit irritated by the strange angles in the pattern of the carpet. This is fine now.

S Ray - this looks absolutely great, the rays can also be seen below the object.

Hansmar : the second version is excellent.

S Ray : a very good idea with an awesome result.

Horo...NGartplay..thank you..... It was a bit of a faff setting everything up  to place the girl outside the field of view of the camera to give a true reflection whilst keeping her out of the mirror reflecting the man ;making the right hand mirror  the true reflection of the man and .the left hand mirror  how he is seeing himself

Spuddy: good work with the mirrors, nice entry.

SRay: I like the perspective and the light.

  • HoroHoro Posts: 10,124

S Ray - indeed, I agree fully with Yellow Pen. This looks great.

  • adbcadbc Posts: 3,101

spuddy : very good job playing with the mirrors.

S Ray : wow, I agree with Yellow Pen and Horo.

  • mermaid010mermaid010 Posts: 5,001

Spuddy - very nice render with the mirrors and smoke, well done.

S Ray - I second the wow, excellent work.

S Ray: phenomenon 7: strange effect, but very nice render. The perspective and light on the 'oracle of blue' are very good. I only do not like the texture of her skin on her torso. Maybe you can do something to make that more smooth?

Spuddy: Very well done. I like the fact that most is dark, but the figures are well lighted.

NGartplay: mermaid010, Horo, adbc: thank you.

  • @ NGartplay: Thank you.

    @ Horo: Thank you.

@ Hansmar: Mistakes can happen. The improved version fits all the better.

    And thank you.

@ S Ray: Phenomenon 7 - Unusual but fantastic idea. The result looks amazing.

Oracle of Blue - Really nice perspective and good light.

@ spuddy: Your third entry is a successful mirror trick. Good work.

My second entry. "Reaching for the sky"

The terrain is made with a spiral spheres picture with a mirror material. I placed a plane in front of the sky with a semi transparent material (circles), the smoke is generated with another sphere and the figure in the middle is Alison (Poser).

Adbc - wow excellent entry, beautiful colors and shapes.

  • @ adbc: Another WOW from me. These colors, the effect, the division of the picture - the whole composition is just awesome. I would hang the picture on my wall immediately.
