Non-complaint:  Wheeee..., my kitchen lightshow has again surprised me.  The Sun keeps changing position slightly every morning and the direct rays that hit my windowsill prisms behave slightly differently every morning.  Today seemed like it was nothing special, the spectrum from the big triangular prism was in its typical place somewhere on the far wall, and the three little spots of red, green, and blue from the little cubic dichromatic mirror/splitter prism went their separate orthogonal directions.  Sometimes the blue spot gets projected through the kitchen door into the living room, which is kind of cool because it shows up brilliantly in the dark livingroom.  That was it's position this morning, but in addition to the "normal", it was positioned just right so that little beam of blue light passed just under the spout opening of my kitchen faucet.  When I turned on the water to make coffee, the top one inch of the aerated water column just below the spout was glowing brilliant blue like there was blue flame coming from the spout.  Cool!cool   Wheee... yessmiley  No proof though.frown  By time I got my camera ready, the sun had moved enough to make realigning everything difficult/impossible and not worth the trouble.  Just a pleasant memory.

...I need to get some prisms as my main window faces east.  Would be nice to wake up to a room of rainbows.

The dogwood pollen is out in full force today! I love this time of year. If you haven't seen it before, the dogwoods in Washington go nuts once a year, causing fluffy clouds of white pollen to fly through the air and make drifts on driveways and lawns. It looks like people have been blowing on hundreds of dandelions. It's so pretty to me, but I might be the only one to think this. When I tell a Washington native how excited I am about the Dogwoods, they wrinkle their nose and go "gross," or complain about allergies.

smiley Getting sunlight in the kitchen that's on the north side of the house, everything would be fine if it just warmed up a bit (10-15C/50-60F during the day)

Complaint: The husband wanted Doordash and offered to pay for it in doggycoins so I said okay. My food just arrived and I'm pretty disappointed. It came in a regular-sized meal container with a smaller paper box inside. Inside the smaller paper box was my entree. I haven't been to Hops N Drops in a long time, but are the entrees always this small? For the $28 this individual meal cost (before tip!), you'd expect it to be at least average-sized. But this looks smaller than what most restaurants offer.

Sure, in Europe, this is probably a jumbo meal. But this is the states! And if you don't want to eat it all, you can just save it for leftovers.

I must have liked/watched the wrong artist on DA because now my feed is filled with disturbing images. The nudes in public locations aren't disturbing, but they are a bit mystifying. One has to wonder if the artist is just trying to save money by not buying clothes.

    I need eye bleach.

Ctrl-click or Alt-click. I forget which one;  should keep it from moving back to center.

...we have them here in the  Portland area.

A few years ago the pollen became an issue for a commuter rail line we have on the west side of town as it would clog the engine intakes and air filters causing the engine to overheat . The line uses a new model of RDC self powered diesel-electric rail cars like those that used to be seen on the east coast.  They also purchased a two car set of the older ones as a backup.

..crikey 28$ for what sounds like it amounts to as an appetizer?  That would get me several days worth of food at the local market. Yeah I have to put in the work to prepare and cook it but the financial savings is worth it, particularly when you live on a very tight budget like I do.  I rarely went to restaurants even before the pandemic because of the cost (well I occasionally go to the Subway down on the corner for takeout of my building, but they keep sending me coupons every couple weeks).

This is why I never bothered with having meals delivered during the pandemic.  Far too expensive for the amount of food you often get particularly when you figure in delivery charge and tip for the delivery person.

...in Daz, if you hold the CTRL key when selecting the pose you want to use, a dialogue box will pop up with three sets of parameters the middle labelled Translation which set tells the programme where to place the character in the scene.  All you need to do is uncheck the thee boxes under in that column and the character will remain at the centre.

Not sure if this applies to Carrara.

Same! I don't normally do delivery. If I want food I will go to get it, and I avoid many sit-down restaurants because of cost. Hops N Drops is maybe $14-$16 dollars for a plate, so I honestly don't know how the meal ends up so expensive with Doordash. It's really crazy!

Our meal was $56 for two plates. If each costs $15, that's $32.79 with tax. So using Doordash cost us $23.71 alone. My husband does tip, but I don't think he's tipping more than 20%. That's $17+ in fees! Actually, now that I have done the math, I will have to ask what is going on with that.

Personally, I'd rather get a good deal or something that will last.

Update: Just spoke to the hubs. They do apparently charge crazy high delivery fees, well over $10. I told him next time I would just go pick it up.

carrara is great for animating, but when it comes to saving and applying a single pose, omg is soo difficult  i'm in denial i cant just double click on the saved master pose.

Non-complaint:  Continuing saga of the unwanted motherboard.  We last left the unwanted motherboard biding time, unopened, in a box gathering parts to create a new computer.  Some parts are rescues from my salvage boxes, some are new parts that were never sold to a customer, I was still lacking RAM, CPU, power supply and case.  I ended up buying a simple (i.e. non-modular) EVGA 500w power supply for it.  I've ordered the CPU through ebay (new in box, cheap but ancient) but it's coming from Israel and isn't scheduled to arrive until mid June.frown

I've been pondering over RAM for the last year trying to get the most bang for my buck.  I've wanted some RGB lights on my RAM in my current windowed computer.  (Yeah, I know, bling, but screw it, I kinda like the bling look.)  I couldn't justify replacing existing 32GB of RAM in that machine to get my bling but replacing just 16GB was do-able and I could transfer the two removed 8GB RAM sticks to the unwanted motherboard.  Problem solved.

My new 2x8GB sticks of colorful RAM (Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2666) arrived today.  Yay!  Although, I did have a brief scare when I first tried it, lights came on but the computer display didn't.surprise.  So I removed all four RAM sticks again and very carefully reinserted them making doubly sure they were properly seated.  Worked the 2nd time.  Yay!  Aye, admiral, thar be LEDs here.yes

    Ooh, colors!smiley  Wheee...

Complaint:  There is however, a remaining unknown.  The RAM removed from my current machine and being awarded to the unwanted motherboard is Corsair Vengeance LPX 2666.  The CPU on order is an AMD Ryzen 5 1400 which is apparently of the era when there were RAM compatability issues with AMD CPUs.frown  At best, the RAM will just work.yes  More likely is that the RAM will work but not at full rated 2666 speed.indecision  But if the RAM doesn't work at all, then I could get 8GB (2x4GB) of cheap slow RAM marketed for AMD just to get the machine running.sad  But I hope it doesn't come to that.

Non-complaint:  While standing back and admiring my computer which has a window and various RGB LED lights scattered within it, I finally realized why I like the "bling" of the multi-colored lights.  I grew up in the '50s where I was fascinated by the bright colored music device in local restaurants and diners that my parents took me to.  The modern illuminated gaming computer is the jukebox of the 21st century.cool

Well that's a problem. Chicken induces nausea and "sulphur burps" for me.

Bacon does now too - I'm devastated, as that was my favourite.

I can't move on DA without seeing that sort of content. That sort of stuff is popular - especially on DA. I get to a point where I get bored of seeing female anatomy (and I did life drawing in college).

Most of the girls in my gallery are clothed. So they don't have many favs (if any).

I didn't know this. I guess Japanese toilets are pretty fancy. But Japanese homes are also notorious for not having central heat. I'd rather be warm than have a fancy toilet.
