Complaint: Back hurts. I just came back from my first trip to a chiropracter, and after a few pops my back hurts, perhaps in a good way eventually.
Non-complaint: While on the mini-adventure uptown to the doctor today I also stopped at KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) for a box of breasts. Also, stopped at subway for two turkey subs. All food for the rest of the week. And topping the non-complaints for today is I finally got to eat the leftover filet steak and sweet potato from Longhorn Steakhouse in Erie, PA on Saturday's mini-adventure to the gem & mineral show.
..I've clicked on the Close instead of Save button occasionally myself, usually when it was late & I was tired. Really frustrating when I was still rendering on the CPU and it took multiple hours.
I'm going to read about OpenCL now.
Every one of us is a WIP until we die! At least, that's how it should be. We should always be improving, always changing (hopefully for the better), always learning new things.
Dana
None of us does, really.
We are all just trying to figure it out.
Last page. What will we do without Chohole to split the thread?
We all keep posting until the 100th page swells like a balloon and finally explodes loosing gobs of poor jokes, illogic, usless trivia, and personal woes into the guts of DAZ's servers completely gumming up the works. I've got popcorn and hot chocolate ready so that I can enjoy the show.
...as if the works here aren't already badly gummed up given all the 502, 504, and Clodflare crashes.
...not to mention the store issues.
Both a complaint and non-complaint:
I tried to get a quesadilla earlier. The call went something like this:
Me: Hi! Can I make a to-go order for a mushroom quesadilla?
Them: No, we're all out.
Me: Do you guys even carry it anymore? It seems like I can never get them these days.
Them: Yes.
Me: .....okay.... When's a good time to get one then?
Them: What time is it now?
Me: 3pm.
Them: Before then.
So I said thank you and hung up, resolving not to go there anymore if they were going to be so unhelpful.
A few minutes later, I got a call from an older woman. I was pretty surprised because I have never had a restaurant call me back like that. I hadn't even given them my number. She said she was sorry, and they always try to keep fresh mushrooms and they run out very quickly, but if I stop by tomorrow, there will be a free one waiting for me. So, not only will I be going back there, I will be going back tomorrow.
I am concerned that the mushrooms run out so quickly. I sleep until 1 pm lately (I go to sleep right before dawn), and if the requirement for getting a mushroom quesadilla is going to be showing up before noon, that is just not going to work for me. Even when I woke up earlier, I usually didn't leave the house until 1.
This is why I stuff my pillow with food... sure it smells funny eventually, but you never have to worry about getting out of bed to snack.
This is why I always stuff my other pillow with fresh mushrooms... you never have to worry about running out late at night and eventually they start growing there on their own.
Like DanaTA and Tjohn said, we are all works in progress, nobody is perfect or even close... the best that any of us can hope to achieve is to continue to grow, to learn and improve... and we must all do it at our own speed.. the important thing is to always be open to change, growth and doing one's best.
Never think or feel you aren't good enough... there is no "good enough", just try the best you can with what you've got and be proud of who you are.
Thats really all anyone can hope to be.
...made a big quesadilla for lunch today using a special mix of seasonings, some Vermont sharp cheddar, and generous splash of Tapitio™.
I try to wake up every morning and make a conscious effort to be happy.
And drink coffee. Lots and lots of coffee all day long.
And the antidepressants (prescription, I don't do self-medication - been down that road and it's a very bad idea). They help too.
...indeed, coffee. Makes facing the day a bit easier and is actually an antioxidant, a bit of an anti-inflammatory, and lowers the risk of Diabetes type 2.
The I wish some people were anti-inflammatory complaint thread!
Dana
Yum.
Okay... going to be quiet until the new thread starts. I can't handle the responsibility of naming it. (How does that work, anyway?)
...I thnk there is already a conscensus about the new name.
Since when has there been consensus about anything?
...tehre are a few of us who felt t would be nice gesture to honour Chohole with the next thread.
