Wednesday! In for just half a day today, leaving early to do some shopping then go home. Need good beer, some plastic ziploc bags (for the ham), and some mustard (again, for the ham). :)

Fried chicken for dinner, leftovers from yesterday. 2 huge thighs.. will be very nice with beer! :cheese:

Tomorrow, I will unwrap the ham and slice it up into bags, some for storage, some for tomorrows pot luck.

It's dead in the office. :blank: So far I'm the only person here in the Engineering department. I'm sipping tea and writing documentation off and on, mostly slacking off and Web surfing (lheh). The boss is out, my hardware counterpart is out, two of the mechanical engineers are out, the big boss is out.. it's kind of creepy. :blank:

Complaint: grumbling guts, likely due to the vast amount of raw veggies I scarfed down yesterday.

Non-complaint: leftover turkey for breakfast! :cheese:

I have 4 bottles of Dos Equis and some vodka, but I want a nice six of microbrew with dinner. ;-)

First snow! I remember when I was 12, living in Dallas, when Moms kittens went out in their first snow. They played in it for about 45 seconds than ran back indoors, and never went out in the snow again. :blank: Smart kittens.

Sounds like you're prepared for a nice day at home, though! :cheese:

Two and a half hours and I'm outta here! I expect shopping to be a madhouse.. urgh.. :-S

    bistro sounds good.

    :) new orleans style

    jambalaya and hurricane ssipss

..all this talk about New Orleans. Used to be a regular at Pat O'Brien's down on Rue St Peter (next to Preservation Hall). They were the originators of the Hurricane drink.

They celebrated their 70th anniversary two yeas ago. Almost went down there.

Ahh, the old "digs" (the apartment building next to what used to be a fire station which is now a restaurant) about 30 paces down Napoleon from St Charles. Many fond memories. Total rent for the two bedroom I had was 135$/month. Bet it's a lot more now.

Found out that the college pub "Fat Harry's" (the building on the corner) is still in business (we used to call it "Frat Harry's")

adding stir-fry and drained to the list

thinking of all the ways to prep a veggie or legume

    raw
    boiled
    simmered
    sizzled
    steamed
    baked
    broiled
    nuked
    fried
    deepfried
    stirfried
    drained

and haz to take into account if the seasonings are fresh, dried, or powdered

huhhh iz interesting, putting a charcoal in the pan to smoke up the curry

    ....ahh Wotan's Day.

    Complaints

    --Achy as usual.
--May need to call in a plumber to replace seal on the dunny (why does this stuff always seem to happen around the holidays, last time it was the fridge going out at Christmas a couple years ago?)
--Received a great job referral this morning, right up my alley, Warehouse Coordinator, total desk job, no lifting no forklift certification needed, unfortunately no where near any bus lines either.
--Keep getting referrals for out of state jobs back east even though I salect the option on my headhunter sites that I don't wish to relocate, as well as mention so on my LinkedIn page.

    Non Complaints.

--Hit 62° yesterday, almost felt like summer came back after the last couple weeks. Will be near 60° again today with surprisingly no rain.
--Cool bus stop freebie today (looks almost like the one I converted from 3DS a while back)
--Picked up a couple PC items as well (more shaders, never can have too many shaders).

You could do that yourself. It's really easy to do depending on which seal is bad

Whew, made it home! The liquor store was a madhouse :bug: and the grocery store was a nightmare. :gulp: But I have my beer, my mustard, and half-and-half for my coffee! :)

Downloading my freebie goodies and prepping to heat up some fried chicken.. then to listening to music! :cheese:

Even though I don't get paid, the timing is perfect.. I need a longer break from work than a weekend. Was feeling a touch burned out.

Maybe a render later, not sure. :) Something Diner-ish.. :snake:

...thought about that, however not sure if my arthritis will botch things up and then I'd have a real mess on my hands.

Haven't tracked down the source yet. .

...bugger, came cross a thread the other day about someone planning a build using the new Haswell CPUs, x99 boards, and DDR4 memory.

    ...suddenly I feel so inadequate.

Bugger, and now I'm researching the specs for a dual Haswell Octo-core Xeon CPU build with Quad Channel DDR4 memory setup. Heck at least I have an extra ATI Radeon7950 sitting around as I am not a gamer and running two GPUs really doesn't do anything to enhance 3D application or rendering performance.

...great vid. Faved it to my playlist.

Actually most computers still on the shelf in those big box stores are already obsolete before they are even bought. Makes a new car look like a rock solid investment.

Yeah this is what gets me about this work, one moment you think, "finally I have the system that it takes to do this" than a month or two later the next "generation" and/or update is out. It's like one needs a constant pipeline of cash to keep up with the tech curve these days.

I couldn't even consider running 4.7 on the old notebook. One Aiko 3 with Mitsu Hair in a simple dress and a Cyclorma background lit with one ambient and two spotlights would be "crash city".

On the other hand, pencils, brushes, pens ink and paint have a way longer "lifespan".
