AND she's fully dressed, actually practical clothing! Totally violates the NVIATWAS Mythos. And it's not much of a sword, more like an over-large dagger. :smirk:

    Sunday Sunday SUNDAYYYYYYYYY :cheese:

Kind of damp outdoors, but no big thing. Cozy indoors with coffee and corned beef hash. Enough food, snacks, and booze to sit at home all day, maybe render a scene or two, and watch way too much football!

I have a giant bag of chips, and salsa and queso so I'm ready to go! :cheese:

I hope everyone has a great day!!

*spins around to a Strauss waltz wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee dizzyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy*

Yikes, I almost forgot to submit my DS 4.7 crash log! :ahhh:

I was messing with a test scene, deleted a figure, tried to add a new one and KABOOM KABOOM :bug: the "save crash log?" dialog appeared

Glad it was just a test. But this is the first time in about 8 months DS has crashed on me, that's a record for any app on my machine. :blank:

I have ONE game.. CFL.. and Canadian football is weird! :ahhh:

You only get 3 downs. Midfield is the 55 yard line. The penalties all have numbers.

    WTH :blank: :blank:

Real football is, apparently, later. :long:

Maybe I will go out, urgh argh blech..

...another tight nail biter of a game, Packers only up 14 - 10 over the Viqueens.

ESPN's NFL Game Day tracker all messed up, showing Minnesota with the ball when it's actually Green Bay.. Guess Daz3D isn't the only site with issues.

Ugh, two bonehead penalties moved Green Bay back, now 3rd and 27. What, am I watching a Raiders game or something? Double Ugh, O-line breaks down and Rodgers is sacked back to the 24. I think we went had more negative than positive yards this possession.

Punt and yet another stupid Green Bay penalty in three out of four plays they lost 40 yards due to penalties. In the Lombardi days the players responsible would have received the riot act. Not only a good drive broken but now the Vikes get good field position.

Feel like I'm watching the Raiders instead of the Packers.

    I kind of thought so.

What I know is that if each kids in the school of my son were suspended because they "threaten" the others with fake ray guns, well.. the school would be empty in less than one day! Unbelievable:)

Same here back when I was a kid. And some of the girls were tougher than some of the boys. (I guess that has nothing to do with what we're talking about, though.)

...same here Packers had to hold on after their defence was shredded like mild cheddar cheese by Minnesota's Terry Bidgewater in a late fourth quarter drive which resulted in touchdown and successful two point conversion making it a three point game, 24 - 21.

Sloppy play on Green Bay's part in the second half with those ridiculous bonehead penalties which cost them another potential score.

At least New England rolled over Detroit in Foxboro so Green Bay is now on top of the NFC "Norris" division. However Tom "Terrific" Brady and his Patriots come to Lambeau Field next week.

no.. I got another render error. I checked Daz Studio's error log file but all I found were duplicate IDs that I forgot to fix.

edit: I should read Trouble-Shooting Render Crashes in DAZ Studio 4.x.

...yeah where I live they're really expensive, back in Wisconsin they were cheap. Favourite road snack when driving between Steven's Point and Milwaukee. There was a Cheese maker at Fremont WI I'd usually stop at on the way for a bag of curds.

...the story will be an illustrated one more like a classic storybook, not a full graphic novel, for there is a lot of complex background that would be difficult to convey in a comic style format. It will also be "Net published" as "fan fiction" (so as to avoid any infringement issues) since it does rely loosely on an RPG world setting which is where the main character and background came from. So yeah, I won't make any living from it, but that is not the reason I am writing it, I just want to tell a story.

    The best of reasons :)

You get larger memory chunks == more polygons. But more isn't necessarily best because almost everything subdivides on the fly nowadays so a good flow of polys and smart rigging is more efficient than more polys :)

wow... sorry for disappearing soooooo long guys, but life got 'interesting' on me! (didn't realize how long it had been until I just checked my email and saw that it was almost a month O.O )

ok, my excuse (and complaint): well, as you probably don't remember, my shoulder has been giving me *fits* where I injured it this past summer - rotator cuff injury. Was doing better, then took a sudden turn for the worse and *refused* to improve... actually got almost as bad as it was initially and with new and exciting symptoms as well! Included in this that *typing* causes a slow ramp of pain, so I have been staying off the computer except for *brief* moments.

went back to orthopedist; after an *extremely* pleasant examination (note: sarcasm), he gives me another shot *into* the joint (yaay cortizone) and tells me that my new symptoms are from my neck, not shoulder and (after discussing my illustrious past) says that the neck part is an *old* injury that all the 'fun' with my shoulder has irritated. So back to Physical Therapy with new instructions to add neck work to my routine.

after a few visits, my new symptoms went away and I had more movement in my neck than I have had in a decade!

    however...

my shoulder refused to get better, getting a temporary boost from the shot and then returning to near constant pain again. Worse, with my newly loosened and 'improved' (??) neck, I was getting *blinding* pain and started having migraines again! So set up another visit to the Ortho and stop PT until we find how what the heck is going on... pain continues to worsen.

Yay! Ortho sends me to get MRI's of my shoulder and neck! The MRIs were an 'experience' too (will save that for another time - shoulder starting to throb so got to wrap this up) - let's just say there were 'difficulties'.

Ok.. gonna have to cut this short without my usual flair:
    1) I go in for surgery on my shoulder Dec. 4th (not rotator cuff, thankfully, but shaving a bit of bone that has 'tightened' the joint and is keeping things inflamed) Prayers and good thoughts very welcome.
    2) My ortho (one of the best in the region) does not feel confident deciding what to do about my neck (does that bother anyone else as much as it does me??) and is sending me to 'the neck guy' who supposedly specializes *solely* on necks and spinal cord issues. Why? Besides 5 of my disks being 'disseccated' (2 mildly, 2 moderately and 1 'oh my'), there is a bony ridge growing off one of my vertebrae that has cut through the fatty protective layer around my spinal cord and is now compressing the cord itself (to my layman's eye, it looks like at least a 10% or slightly greater 'dent' in the cord - fairly significant). My ortho lays out this spiel of advice about how we need to address this promptly but let this other guy do it since he is the best which instantly sets off my 'B.S. / 'oh shit! he is covering his ass' detector which you normally only hear when it is serious but the doc doesn't want to say anything that might be liable or whatnot. Yay... So, apt with the new specialist on Dec. 2nd.

so, I have been spending the past month (over which this has all taken place) hurting and trying not to freak out.

    gonna be a *fun* Thanksgiving!

hope things are going well for you all!

Oh ouch sorry to hear Gecko *hugs* and as always having a good thought for you :) At least seeing another specialist will get you another point of view but I guess they got stuff they do and odds are when you see one they will want to do their stuff, good or bad

eta Anyhow, you know from experience that sometimes you're looking at the output of something or other on test equipment and wondering how that stuff is still working OMG but work it does  I think that's how it must be for the radiology guys when they scan my brain
