And I can see why people thought she was toony. The central image in the contest header looks pretty toon-like.
I wish they would make a new Micheal with textures that detailed.

She looks anywhere from mid 40s to early 50s to me, which is an age bracket we don't see that often. So definitely a useful addition to the gene pool.
I imagined that the new contest would be based on each new core character release, so basically closed to those that purchase it. Marketing instead community driven, but i get it.
But changing the rules to close it even more to only season pass? That is low, very low. It looks like as non purchasers stated to feel relief after that "freebie" yesterday you decided to punish them by leaving them out of the contest.
CONJECTURE: The contest rules are probably the same as they were. Knowing Daz, the new ad copy about the contest is probably wrong, but they won't get around to fixing/clarifying it until this time tomorrow.
Everybody gets their own contests. Freebies have freebie contests, newbies get newbie contests, PC+ gets PC+ contests, etc. Why would season pass be any different?
At first I thought, "What is this??" Then I began to realise the versatility of Brooke 8.1. Obviously, it takes time to cook a proper render, so here is how Brooke 8.1 looks in the viewport.
That's just not what they told us.
That Brooke reminds me of Bethany. It's nice to see a not idealized female. But I'm not using 4.15 or 8.1, so still doesn't entice me to buy the season pass. I might wishlist her and whenever she goes on deep sale, get her then.

I've read through the entire NFT thread and most of this one... Can anyone give me a TLDR as far as whether any of the Daz employee's (not the Mods, they're pretty awesome) postings amounted to anything other than responses to almost anything but the actual concerns and questions being presented by their customers... followed by a wink emoji? That's what really rubbed me the wrong way most of all between these two threads. I've only been around for a couple years and spent a mere 8.5K, so I have no dilusions that my opinion makes the slightest difference to Daz Venture Capital Group, or whatever they are now... but man I feel for the long timers and truly heavily invested.
P.s. Thanks for the tip about the Daz Deals total spent setting. I actually thought I had spent more, so I was nothing but happy to see those numbers. ;)
I'm glad you Season Pass people like Brooke. She seems like someone I walk past on the streets and forget I ever saw them. Nothing memoriable. I do like the skin however.
That's exactly what many people have been looking for from Daz! No more unrealistic supermodels, but somebody you might really know.
I like having 'real world' options and not cookie cutter, but she has what looks like a perpetual grimace that bugs me. I just can't get past it.
Her skin also has that flat, solid and waxy look that seems all too common with the new shader. I'd imagine that could easily be fixed by converting the skin to the Uber Shader.
Did another quick one mixing generational shapes together for fun. Did miss some artefacts on the dress Brooke has though. :-/
I'll just leve these renders here.
First is default face pose, second is messing with face pose controls. Both rendered in the morning sun. All said and done, I like her and hope we get more unique face and body shapes.
If Brooke is the benchmark for what is to come with the season pass characters, the it is money well spent.
