Ah, must have been more new fangled than ours, or you got more choice over that side of the pond.

Skiriki, really nice story, sounds written in the vein of some great authors I've read (fantasy).

Anyway, back to stupid... "Aside from Sheen as Spider-Man, which other ’80s actors nearly played Superheroes!?"

    http://moviehole.net/201257202aside-from-sheen-as-spider-man-which-other-80s-actors-nearly-played-superheroes

Reminds me; "Hercules in New York" (with Arnie). I have the dvd... First time I've seen a reinforcement steel-bar as a lightning rod by Zeus.

Of course I always wanted "The Red Phone".

In the late 70s I had a red phone at home for the private line to my boss. He paid for it since I had 2 teenage boys and when the boss wanted to get hold of me, he didn't want my line tied up by teenagers. LOL

Phones connected to wall jacks were lots easier to find. Just grab the cord and pull (or follow). Seems like there's always a lost cellphone around this house.

Well what you need is 2 cell phones, so when you lose one you can ring the number and trace where it is ringing from.

Saying that I once knew someone who lived in what they call a "mansion flat" over here, a large rambling apartment and it had several wall sockets for telephones, one in each room, but she had only one phone, so always had to remember which room she was last in when she used the phone, as she would unplug it and move it around.

    How stupid is that.

Sometimes the fries at the bottom of the McDonald's bag taste better than the fries that stayed in its little box

I do not think i like mcdonald's fries. I think Wendy's fries are better.

I have a job interview Tuesday morning at the nearest Wendy's. I hope I can get a job. I gave the manager there the number of my old Wendy's and the gm's name. I also gave my old GM the new location's number. Hopefully that will work out.

I am hoping for the best too. Hopefully I will get good hours. I am thinking of getting one of the new Kindle Fires after they come out. I just need to save up to get one.

We've got 3 and the one that was lost was turned off. It was found finally.

There's just something about that little box that is unappealing. That's why so many people dump their fries out on the tray first.

A job at Wendy's would be good, MBW. You are already familiar with the routine since it's a franchise (or store-owned). And you're already trained. I'm sending good thoughts to NC.

Ah yes, there is no answer to that. I at least don't have any cell phones to get lost, although I do have a modern cordless phone. However usuallly if I do manage to lose the hadnset I can locate it again, next time someone phones me, as long as the battery still has power.

The wrong team is always winning. At least most of the times. That's why it's important to pick the winning team...

...I know, and those substitute official's haven't been helping the situation very much either (except for the other team). Left the pub at halftime remarking to the bartender that I've seen better officiating in the NBA and probably won't watch another game this season until the lockout if resolved and the real" refs are back on the field.

The first half was a total train wreck. Even the announcers couldn't believe how many bad and missed called there were.

I did not see the first half just a good chunk of the last half.

Right now I cannot go to a pub or what not to watch a game. I do not have the money to spend on their food or soda. (i forgot the phrase but it means basically I do not drink alcohol.)

I need to get some sleep. Good night

...not having a telly, the pub is the only place I can catch a game. With how much I am away from home each day can't justify the cost of cable and this new digital broadcast signal is crap. In the old days if the reception fluctuated you maybe had to deal with a bit of "snow" from time to time or maybe the picture "rolling" a couple times. Now if the signal momentarily goes weak or drops, the screen freezes, or goes black for several moments. Very bothersome to deal with.

'Wendy loves Cats' fish and chips! (I can totally see it now!!!) LOL

Speaking of wendy and cats, I had the strangest dream before I work up regarding my cat...

First, the poor lil guy got hit by a car (He survived, and was limping badly) I took him to the vet, they did some sort of surgery, in which they completely shaved him... But then I was told he needed eye surgery as he became blind somehow?!? LOL So he went in for that... But get this, Suddenly I was at the dinner table with the family, and they were all complimenting my name choice for my cat 'Zac' Odd I know, But it continues...

The vet doctor is there, she shows me a film strip sort of thing, and explains that it was in his paws, and on it is a detailed print of human finger nails... I ask why... And am told that when cats are kittens the vet inserts this film printed human fingernails as a religious requirement so that cats can go to heaven. OK then lol...

After that, still in the dinning room, a 'police officer' escorts zac into the room... Why this is, I have no idea... And my bald cat isn't a cat at all! He's a human!! He morphed into a human... Don't know why but my family was not surprised at all, it was like it was a normal thing to happen.

I express my shock over the whole incident, and zac tells me he's very glad I didn't name him a typical cat name otherwise his somewhat changed lifestyle would have been complicated severely.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! The most STUPID dream I have had in years!!
