Crikey, Boeing is patenting a limited type of force field, the navy's already testing ship based laser weapons, scientists at CERN are looking to create mini black holes as well as detect parallel universes, and I recently read where there is some sort of exotic propulsion system that bends the laws of physics which has actually been successfully tested.on a small scale.

...and there is a real Captain James Kirk who is in the US Navy and will be in command of the largest, most technologically advanced destroyer (USS Zumwalt) which will be commissioned sometime this year . Hails form Maryland instead of Iowa though.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Zumwalt
Yes, but is his middle name Tiberius?

    no
The Zumwalt is also supposed to have an electromagnetic rail gun! :bug:
    http://www.wired.com/2014/04/electromagnetic-railgun-launcher/
depends on what Sci-Fi version you refer to, lol
Are we talking about defending Atlantis 50cal rail gins,
    http://stargate.wikia.com/wiki/Railgun
Or what was used to "Mass Driver" Narn back into the stone ages in Babylon 5.
Probably more like Atlantis. From the grainy video, it looks more like 30mm than 50cal. Any lump of metal traveling at Mach 7 will go through armor plating like butter. Or Vegamite. I prefer butter...

spring snow is a nightmare I have a water-heater and a microwave box out on the deck that never made it to the shed, there going to be soaked. Hope I don't need to return them, lol.

Well, ah, the unit was fine, and that wet slimy stuff is from that cardboard mush it is in, lol. [sails person flinging hands in disgust]

I told them right away I can work as many Saturdays as possible but not Sundays as my bus does not run on Sunday. I have no reliable transportation on Sundays. Not even to church or anywhere.

I don't know much about camels, but I thought their legs bent at the knees. I didn't get to go to the faire this year or I would have checked it out for you. Ian and I want to ride the camels they have there.
