I would recommend simplifying the amount of breast morphs loaded to get the same breast shape. Having too many morphs pull verts and others counter\jumble up the original position and when you fit clothing to them they are not where they should be causing the clothing to distort in a way that the fit control morphs cannot counter the distortion. Hmmm, that sounded good in my head. Don't know if that makes sense to you lol. Eg in your list you have breast large and breast small dialled. I would zero breast small and just dial the large in lower. That sort of optimization.

I have plenty of those "That sounded much better in my head" moments! %-P

I actually was surprised when I went through the entire list to see some conflicting morphs. I didn't realize I had so many redundant ones set as well. I'll give it a go after I get back from vacation in a week. Thanks for the help. :cheese:

Ok update is live and working. For those doing a manual download, please remove the product first or uninstall because some morphs were renamed. If the old morph list remains or you just overwrite, you will have two different morph names but both do the same thing. Example, Center Updown was renamed to Center Updown 1 because there is now a secondary Center Updown Morph. Thank you for your feedback and support.

I've installed the new update with the DIM. I opened an existing scene in which I had used Fit Control, in order to update it with the latest morphs. It did not behave in the way that I expected. This is what happened:

Case 1) I opened the scene, selected a clothing item and deleted unused Fit Control morphs with the trash can icon script. That seemed to work. Then I selected G2F and tried to add all morphs back in with the + icon script. I got the confirmation message that morphs were added to the clothing, but when I selected the clothing item and looked at the parameters tab under Actor/Fit Control, only a few morphs were added to the ones that were left after the delete of unused ones. I expected all morphs to be added back in.

Case 2) I opened the scene, selected a clothing item and zeroed all morphs with the - icon script. Then I deleted all morphs with the trash can icon script. That worked. Then I selected G2F and tried to add all morphs back in with the + icon script. I got the confirmation message that morphs were added to the clothing, but when I selected the clothing item and looked at the parameters tab under Actor, the Fit Control section wasn't even there. I expected to find all morphs added under the Fit Control category.

Well, I think the DIM may not have uninstalled properly before installing the new version. I have 2 sets of + and - and trash can icon scripts for G2F (and 2 sets for Genesis) in my content library. In my problem above, I'm not sure which I was using - probably the old ones, because I accessed them from custom action icons on my toolbar. What do you recommend to clean this up and get it working properly again?

I would manually delete the entire product if the uninstall is not working. Just delete the product files under People\Genesis2female\clothing\Fit Control as well as the morphs under Data\Daz3d\Genesis 2\Female\Morphs\Zev0\Fit Control. (do the same for Genesis1), then re-install. If you want to see the products file structure then download a manual version and look at that to see where the product files are if you are unsure. Sometimes these uninstall options never work properly. Makes product updates a nightmare. It should not be duplicating scripts.

    Regarding your cases,

Case1 - All the morphs are adding to the ones with dialled values here on my side. Just tested on the original promo scene which was saved with old morphs.

Case2 - All morphs are loading back here for me after zero and removing. Tested on promo scene where old morphs were loaded.

    Solution?

Chances are you might be clicking on one of the old scripts. The new Delete Unused script has also been changed. If you are clicking on the old Delete Unused script there will be issues because the two work together. (eg morphs won't load back) Basically, you cannot click on one old and one new. Since you have two of each I think that is what's going on. Could explain why you are getting problems.

Zev0, thank you again for your outstanding customer support. You are able to solve even the most convoluted customer issues! I uninstalled with the DIM, followed your directions to delete the old files that were not removed by DIM, and reinstalled with DIM. I got rid of my old custom actions and created new ones. I believe everything is working again. Whew! Can't live without Fit Control now!

I'm guessing my problem might have been created because I updated the product manually when you posted updates along the way. Maybe DIM is not to blame??? Anyway, I am happy it is working again. I always know I can buy in confidence from your store, because you are here to help out.

Downloading the update now, thanks for a much needed product and I look forward to seeing the G3F version! Great stuff, keep up the fantasy work!

Just a note to say 'thanks' for making this product. It's become one of my immediate go-tos on almost any G2F figure I put into a scene, since it lets me adjust the clothing beyond the simple de-book-socking operation.

  • Thanks for the update to the update Zev0!  New morphs work like a charm now.

I just want to say, Zev0, that I love your work, and I admire your willingness to update and improve products over time. It gives a lot of confidence in buying what you make.

(I PARTICULARLY love the power of you and a few other vendors in developing products that help synergize and extend the usefulness of everything Genesis)

So true. Customer service is not just a couple of words to you; I suspect you are doing something you love doing.

You suspect correct. I love what I do:) Customer service is very important, to me anyways. I have seen how poor customer service can ruin careers and reputations in the business world, so I always try and keep it a high priority from my side. Granted, I can't always answer every email and tend to all requests, but I try, and if updating something or giving older products some attention is within my current capacity, I will do so:)

I suspect we all appreciate that, and know I do; looking forward to this product. Well, I'm looking forward to 'em all. laugh

Companies that make it obvious the customer is just a cash-cow, tend to find their sales dropping; customer service is one of the first areas this is usually more noticeable in, coupled with quality control. Of course, sometime the management, especially upper mgt, just suck. Ocams Razor and all that.

  • I've been told by my bank manager to wait for the sales sad

  • Great stuff! Just purchased the whole lot from Genesis to Genisis 3, male and female.

I noticed the Genesis package has all files twice. I assume one part is for male, the other part for female. But ... which is what?

Some morph files over-write others. These had to be included in both versions incase people only purchased one Gender. But Genesis1 requires more universal morphs which had to be included in both. Only ones which are different between the packages are the Gender specific morphs. Other than that, the male and female version both use the same universal morphs, so if you have the female installed, installing the male version will overwrite the universal morphs, and just add the male specific ones to the list.

Wow, I'm just now finding out about this product. I need to look at this forum more often.

Will this work with animation, that is, auto-adjust with each frame, or is it something that needs to be adjusted manually with each frame? I currently often use geometry smoothing to prevent poke through on animations, is this something that would work in conjunction with that and maintain the desired more loose, natural fit throughout the motion?

  • Zev0Zev0 Posts: 7,089

You will have to manually adjust at keyframes. It does not contain a system to auto correct regarding pose positioning. By nature this product is designed for still imagery.

Thanks for that info. I have the product and have not yet used it for animation, but that bit of info is filed away and will (hopefully) save me from future angst.

I must be missing something.  I read through a bunch of this thread looking for clues. Sorry if I missed something obvious.

I thought for sure this version of Fit Control worked on V4.  I have the V4 morphing fantasy dress on V4.2.  I have V4.2 selected.  There doesn't seem to be an option to activate morphs on V4, so I click on the Fit Control Activate Female for G2F button.  Sure enough, I get an error message that says "Please select Genesis 2 Female and try again".

So, I tried clicking the Activate Genesis Female button.  Same error message.

    What am I missing?

Product does not support V4. There are only versions that support Genesis, Genesis 2 and Genesis 3. On the product pages it lists compatible figures on the various versions and you will see V4 is not listed.
