..another day at the corner cafe, another 2.45$ to use their Wi Fi.

Usually have 80 - 90 emails to slog through each day before I can play catchup on the forums.. None offering me a job and the only ones offering me money are spam.

Tjohn and Starionwolf, take care of yourselves.

Yeah sinus headaches are a drag.. As it's been so dry here for so long not been they have thankfully not been an issue, but then there's allergies (ragweed pollen has been pretty bad this year).

Got some possible 3D commission work from a friend who is involved in the "Shadowrun Missions" project. Will be working a couple character drafts up tonight.

Two months to go before I have to move out and still not finding anything remotely affordable even for a studio flat. Crikey, need a 40,000$+ a year salary to afford to live here.

Dsmn, man, sorry to hear. That reall sucks.

Praying for you, for what it's worth... :red:

    ..thank you.

Well one bit of good news. the payments I was waiting for finally rolled in and I'm back on line from home again so at least it will be a lot easier to look for commissions and do my rental search.

Still unable to do much rendering as it's been just too bloody hot. After midnight and still close to 80 out. Hit 99 today.
    Ultra-large YAYZ for you!

Saint Kilda Beach is n the Bay behind a breakwater and pier but yes, in principle there are waves. And trams. And a marina. If you want waves you need to go to Bell's beach, those are what we call waves here

I never noticed the breakwater or the marina on Google Maps before. Thanks for pointing them out to me.

There are piers and breakwaters right around the bay, mostly to give up some safe harbour to small boats and a pub to lay over in. Along the bay's penninsulas there are substantial, but dangerous if you don't know about them, breaks that create big swells and breakers in the right conditions :)

Now I remember my comment about Melbourne, Victoria. I was looking for a beach has a Metropolitan Tram stop. I found a beach called Saint Kilda. I saw some photos of the beach: the beach has waves. Cool.

Most beaches have waves. Well, unless your beach is at a pond or lake. Being on the east coast, when I think beach, I think ocean. But I realized there are beaches not at the ocean, like Echo Lake in No. Conway, New Hampshire.

I spent 20 years in El Paso. Lots of beaches, just no water. The desert's like that, you know.

...yeah another month like we've been experiencing and Oregon's going to start looking like El Paso.

Advance snowpack forecast looks bleak for next winter as well. Even 14,000' Mt Hood is pretty much bare. Lots of brown lawns in the city, and even the parks are not doing well.

Been staying up late to work on projects but just too tired and core temps still in the 70s during rendering even at 01:00 - 03:00.

Going to be an interesting 4th when everyone lights off fireworks. We have a real issue here with people buying the areal stuff like skyrockets and mortars across the river in Washington State and bringing it back. Illegal here, but not really enforced much..

The Frozen Margaritas at the pub were very good, but also very strong. Between the drinks (only 2), disrupted sleep schedule, and the ongoing heat. wave, am pretty beat. Going to try and turn in early tonight and see if I can .actually get back on a more civil schedule.

Tomorrow not quite as hot (only 95°, or so they claim).

    Nite all....

Funny, I am planning on taking Amtrak to El Paso. I want to visit the Magoffin Home State Historic Site to learn about pioneer life in the late 1800s.

Day didn't turn out as quiet as intended complaint. Additional complaint: not much difference between daytime and night time today.

I came to Austin on the Texas Eagle, and we passed through El Paso. Whole lotta desert, surrounded by more desert, with an extra touch of.. desert. :blank:

Cool to watch it roll by in a train, though!

Pub opens at 3:00PM, will ht the Mexican place for a grilled shrimp salad first! :)

Last big spending weekend.. past this, I need to save for a 4G LTE phone and to relocate to wherever the new job is. :blank:

Tired, maybe a small nap... :)

..well if Mt. Hood goes, you probably won't be hearing from me anymore.as it's only about 46 miles as the crow flies from my neighbourhood

The "Just wait" adage doesn't apply out here this year. It's been dry and hot since the beginning of June We've gone 30 days straight without so much as a drop of rain in what is supposed to be the wettest region of the nation. The last time we had any measurable rainfall was during the first three days of June and that was mostly just off and on light showers.

...yeah, might pick up the G2F version as I don't have the body, face, and expression morphs for G3F (almost another 30$ for those)

Ah on second thought forget it, the 6$ PA coupon isn't good on new releases. Bugger, thought I could get the bundle for 14$

But she is cute and fits he 9 - 12 year old range nicely

Can't determine what I wanna do. My back is hurting so I have the heating pad on but it is overheating me so do I take it off or leave on. Heat is the only thing that helps along with a lot of meds and alcohol. Separately, not together but tempting

Was feeling more than a little abstract yesterday :) Am getting some practise on big setups > 1 Km, they take a fair bit of setup and I don't usually have the attention span for it, trying for discipline
